Wilbur frowned at the sight. "Are you alright, Tina?"
Tina wiped at her tears. "You think I''m not worthy of your affection, right, Mister Penn?"
Wilbur widened his eyes. "No, that''s not what I meant at all! Listen to me, Tina..." Wilbur sighed. "Alright, let''s just keep things the way they used to be. Is that alright?"
"My father used to be the most important person in my life, but he left me just like that. It''s so unfair, and I want justice for him," said Tina.
"But I think, Mister Penn... that I''ve fallen hopelessly in love with you. I can''t bring myself to leave you. If you don''t want me, I''ll die right in front of you this very second."
Tina picked up a dagger and swiped it against her neck. Wilbur knocked the dagger out of her grasp before it touched her skin, yanking Tina into his arms and hugging her tightly. "Please don''t do that, Tina. I''ll be with you until the end."
Tina looked up at Wilbur, connecting their lips in a passionate kiss. She began furiously tearing at Wilbur''s clothes after that, and Wilbur did not hesitate to oblige. He took in the sight of Tina''s perfect curves, and the pair embraced each other.
Later that afternoon, Wilbur was in the middle of researching Greensource Corp when he received an anonymous call.
"Hello, who is this?"
"It''s me, Kyra."
"Oh? Kyra?"
"Yes," said Kyra on the phone. "Do you know about the fire that broke out at Lantech Buildingst night, Wilbur?"
"I do. The newspapers reported it."
"Right. Tina mentioned that you let one of their assassins named Demetra go a while back, is that true?"
Wilbur nced at Tina''s back, furrowing his brows. Tina was Mondorra''s daughter, and Mondorra had a long history with Greensource Corp.
Despite the fact that Kyra despised Mondorra, that did not mean that she was going to oppose Greensource Corp. Wilbur had only told Tina about his battle against Demetra because he considered her a close friend and had not expected her to tell Kyra about it.
If Kyra was working closely with Greensource Corp, that would mean that thepany might know everything about Wilbur.
The thought made Wilbur grow wary of Tina. Upon second thought, his rtionship with thisdy had indeed advanced rather quickly. Despite the fact that Tina was willing to do anything to avenge her father, she still seemed to have reservations about Wilbur.
Wilbur thus decided that he was not going to bepletely transparent with Tina from now on. "Yes, that''s right. I did let Demetra go."
Kyra got straight to the point. "I''m going to tell you something, Mister Penn. You might not believe this, but I have crossed paths with Demetra before."
"You have?"
"Yes, at the orphanage."
Kyra told Wilbur that she had seen Demetra once. He happened to be volunteering at the orphanage during one of Kyra''s visits to bring gifts to the children.
Demetra''s special aura had made Kyra notice him, and thus she had a rather strong impression of the guy.
Despite the fact that Wilbur had once battled against Demetra before, that was in the past and Wilbur did not know why Kyra was bringing that up now.
