"I''m going to stay in Fenler for just one more day. Feel free toe looking for me if that person you''re working for has a change of mind!"
Wilbur put the fruits back into the cart neatly as he said those words, then left with Monica and Betty to look for a hotel to stay the night.
After doing so, the two women wanted to talk to Wilbur about whether or not the young man''s words could be trusted.
"Mister Penn, do you really believe that young man? Lacey and Eliana were kidnapped. How is it possible for them to look so carefree and happy in the photo? Could that photo be a fake? These people might be trying to use you to kill someone for them!"
Monica sat on Wilbur''s bed in her nightgown that hugged her curves, but her tone was solemn as she spoke of the young man they had run into earlier.
"Exactly, Mister Penn! I feel like that man''s up to no good. Who knows if these people haven''t actually kidnapped our daughters, and they''re just trying to use you!"
Betty piped up as well, seeming to agree with Monica.
"No, he wasn''t lying, but you were right about one thing-they are trying to use me! Of course, I could tell from the guy''s words that they might just be trying to use me to gain power over Mondorra considering how powerful he is. I''m just not sure if these people are from other factions trying to overthrow Mondorra''s power, or if they''re actually Mondorra''s own men going against him. Also, we need to confirm whether Lacey and Eliana really did end up getting sent to Mondorra by Rabbick''s men!"
Betty and Monica could hardly respond to Wilbur''s series of deductions.
The two women feared even regr hooligans with next to no power, let alone someone like Mondorra. They exchanged nces nervously and promptly shut up.
Wilbur pointed at the women''s beds. "You two aren''t the best at this, so I wouldn''t overthink it. Someone''s trying to use me, which means Lacey and Eliana can be used and these people won''t try anything with them! Get some rest,e on. I reckon someone''s going toe knocking by tomorrow. We''ll y by ear then."
Wilbur ushered the two women back to their beds before falling back on his bed and promptly going to sleep.
Betty and Monica looked at each other. Realizing that Wilbur had a point, they went to bed as well.
Meanwhile, Enoff came to a house across from Derkley Manor and began spying on Derkley''s family.
Enoff had thought that the person he was working for would sessfully lead to Derkley''s downfall!
After waiting for an entire day in vain, Enoff''s phone rang in the evening.
The number calling was the one Enoff had dialed when he left home!
"My apologies, Mister Enoff! I nned an ident ording to your orders and gave the message to the man. I told him that as long as he got rid of Derkley, he would get information on the two girls he was looking for. However, the guy said that he did not want to be used and told me to tell you that it was never a good idea to threaten him!"
The caller was none other than the young man who had gotten into the ident with Wilbur.
Enoff fell silent for a long time after listening to the words, before saying, "Don''t you worry about that, and go get some rest. Derkley will get what he deserves!"
"I''ll talk to Boss and get back to you on the next step of the n by tomorrow at eight in the morning."
