Thus, Wilbur switched up his strategy. He plucked two stic leaves that were on the firmer side of the fake nt near him before hiding in the corner at the end of the hallway to wait for the first group of three toe upstairs.


    Wilbur watched as the three men searched through each room on the second floor, steadily moving closer to Wilbur.


    With how powerful Wilbur was, he hardly needed to fear the weapons these men were carrying. He was doing this so as not to expose the fact that he was a cultivator. Instead, he was trying to create an illusion that he was just a regr human being who was brilliant at fighting.


    This was useful in having the enemy underestimate him, and even go easy on him, which would give him the leeway toe up with the best solution.


    Just as the three men were about toe up to him, Wilbur shot out of the corner. He flung the two stic leaves into the air, before taking down the two men closest to him with two simple punches.


    The guy at the back had his arms nicked by the fake leaves Wilbur had thrown out, and the gun he was holding ttered to the floor.


    In the split second he had, Wilbur took down the two people in front of him beforeing up to the third guy.


    The guy widened his eyes in fear. However, before he could even react, Wilbur had knocked him out.


    Wilbur promptly headed to the storeroom downstairs after that. The team of three downstairs had heard the noise through their earpieces and could tell that the team upstairs had run into trouble.


    Just as the downstairs team hade out of the storeroom, Wilbur arrived at the diner.


    He picked up three kebab skewers from a nearby tray, before hurling them at the three men.


    "Argh..."


    "He''s armed!"


    "Retreat!"


    The three skewers pierced through the men''s wrists before lodging themselves in the wall.


    The weapons they were carrying were then knocked out of their grasp, and the three men turned to flee. Of course, Wilbur was having none of that.


    Just as the three men were about to break the ss wall of the diner and flee, Wilbur picked up a few vases from the tables while sprinting towards them.


    Two loud thumps could be heard.


    Two of the three men were struck in the back of their head, falling to the ground unconscious. The other, in his haste to run, slipped and knocked into a pir that also knocked him out.


    After all six men were taken down, Wilbur headed out to the parking lot to see if there was anyone else in the cars.


    He made sure that there was no one and returned to the inn to tie all the men up.


    Once he was done, Wilbur reconnected the power in the inn before calling for Lacey and the others.


    "I don''t think these people were here to rob the inn. What did you do to piss them off? Tell the truth! If you don''t, I can assure you that they aren''t going to let you go once I leave!"


    Wilbur nced at Lacey, Betty, Eliana, and Monica as he said those words.


    "I don''t know. You can ask them!" Monica said bluntly, sitting down on the sofa and lighting a cigarette.


    Lacey and Eliana, however, were looking around nervously as they fidgeted. It was clear that they were guilty!
