Just like that, Wilbur and the others watch the color drain from Landhor''s face.


    A few minutester, Landhor lowered his head in defeat. "I''ll talk. I''ll tell you everything."


    If Kamal was doomed, there was no point in Landhor putting up a fight either. Wilbur was far too powerful.


    Shane and Pembroke heaved a sigh of relief at those words.


    If Landhor was willing to talk, Clive would hardly be a problem either.


    Wilbur smirked. "You idiots really had the nerve to try me, huh?"


    Landhor bowed his head, saying nothing.


    Just then, Shane said, "Pleasee to my office, Mister Penn. Pembroke and the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection will take it from here."


    Wilbur nodded, casting onest nce at Landhor before following Shane out of the interrogation room to Pembroke''s office.


    They had barely sat down when Pembroke rushed into the office once more.


    "What''s the matter? Did something else pop up again?" Shane asked urgently.


    Pembroke said, "It''s not about Landhor. The police just called. There''s been a mass homicide in Donner Vige, and we''ve been asked to send special forces agents over to seal the scene and maintain order."


    "A mass homicide? How big are we talking?" Shane flew to his feet in a panic.


    Pembroke gulped. "About a dozen deaths, and they''re pretty horrific."


    "What?" Shane swayed on his feet, nearly copsing onto the ground.


    This was chilling news, and Shane was about to have a heart attack. "Gather a team of officers now. I''m going too."


    "Got it." Pembroke picked up his phone, but Wilbur said, "I''ll go with Pembroke, Secretary Kowalt. You should stay here with the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection to handle Landhor''s case. That''s very important too."


    Shane furrowed his brows at the words.


    Wilbur had a point. Landhor''s case involved Rocher Corp as well as the economy of Hemount City.


    On top of that, there had to be more corrupt officials in the system than just Landhor and Clive.


    The Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection would have to dy some procedures without Shane around, postponing the whole case and giving a window for these corrupted officials to escape.


    The mass homicide was a huge deal as well, but things would be fine with Wilbur around.


    Shane looked at Wilbur. "Thank you so much, Mister Penn."


    "It''s alright. I''m already here anyway."


    Wilbur nodded, and Pembroke sent out orders at once.


    Not long after, the two of them set out with over a hundred special force agents.


    Donner Vige was located at the foot of a mountain on the outskirts of Hemount City.


    The vige was not very big, but the air was tense with panic. Every window was tightly bolted, and no one dared to leave.


    The news that had just broken was terrifying.


    Someone said that three families in the vige had died horrific deaths, with their guts removed and even eaten.


    Everyone was saying that there was a monster in the vige, and it was roaming the streets.


    Just then, a dozen or so detectives were staring at the bodies on the ground in shock.


    Some newer detectives had vomited upon the sight of it.


    The corpses were strewn across the ground in pieces, their organs iplete with blood everywhere.
