"Is that so?" Pembroke sneered coldly and nced over the credentials, but he froze in ce at the next moment.

It was an extremely scary department that local authorities had no jurisdiction over and had to fully cooperate with.

Landhor had instructed him that anyone in the Nees family should be arrested that night if possible. They needed to give a harsh lesson to those so-called big shots in Hemount City and let them know to keep their mouths shut in the future.

But Clive said anxiously, "Even so, this won''t do. This is an order from Mayor Lorne. We must arrest every murderer here. Wilbur is the one who killed Seamus as well. The evidence is so clear. We shouldn''t let anyone go."
Pembroke said coldly, "You don''t know what this department represents. Retreat right now. That''s an order. I''ll exin it to the mayor."
"No!" Clive drew his gun and said loudly, "Everyone, listen up, Pembroke is openly defying Mayor Lorne''s orders and releasing a murderer. This is a tant vition of thew. Now, follow my orders and arrest Wilbur. Bring everyone here back for investigation as well. Anyone who dares to disobey these orders will face dismissal and investigation."
The special agents were all stunned. They stood there bewildered.
Pembroke was their highest-ranking leader, so listening to his order was a given.
