Chapter 1509

    That was terrible news.

The Neeses were already on the verge of bankruptcy, and this arranged marriage to the Rochers had been a one-in-a-million chance to gain the Rochers'' trust so that Nees Corp could be saved. What were they going to say now that Sarah was missing?

The Rochers would be humiliated if there was trouble with the wedding. And with how the Rochers operated, they would definitely take it out on the Neeses.

It was important to note that the Rochers had risen to glory through some less- than-savory methods and were known for their ruthless way. The Neeses would be doomed if they caused such a big embarrassment for the Rochers.

Everyone knew that the Rochers had all of Hemount City wrapped around their finger because they had a powerful elite on their side.

Had there been no other solution for the Neeses and the olive branch that the Rochers had outstretched with just a wedding in exchange, Warner would have never said yes to a deal like that.

Now that he had said yes and there was a bump in the road, he was going to be in trouble.

Warner was only in his fifties, but his hair waspletely white, and he looked like he was in constant distress.

The other board members were beyond panicked as well, unsure what they were going to do.

Just then, a servant ran in at top speed. "Sir! Miss Sarah''s back!"

    Everyone lit up at once.

Warner asked urgently, "Where is she?"

"She''s already here... but she''s got a guy with him," the servant said, his head bowed.

Warner frowned, waving a hand. "That''s fine. You can leave now."

Either way, at least his daughter was back.

The servant left, and Sarah strode into the living room with Wilbur in tow.

Warner took one look at her and red up in anger. "Where were you, you stupid girl? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"

"You were going to make me marry that bastard Sawyer Rocher! Why the hell would I stay here?"

The words made Warner flinch in guilt as well.

Everyone in Hemount City knew just the kind of person Sawyer was-rotten to the

    core.

However, Warner had no choice. He had to do this for his family.

Gritting his teeth, Warner looked straight at Sarah. "What''s wrong with the Rochers? This is for the sake of our family, and for you as well! Also, who''s this guy here? Don''t you know you''re about to get married?"

    Warner had looked at Wilbur.

Just then, Sarah looked up. "You just want the money, don''t you? Well, this is Wilbur Penn. He... He''s dating Miss Faye Yves of Cape International, and he can solve the Nees'' financial issues! That way, I won''t have to marry that bastard Sawyer!"

Wilbur Penn. The boyfriend of Faye Yves, CEO of Cape International.

The words rang through the air for a good few minutes before everyone fullyprehended them.

A beatter, Warner let out a sigh. "I swear, you''ll believe just about anything people say. Do you even know what level Cape International is on, or what level Faye Yves is on? The nerve of this guy to call himself her boyfriend, what a joke! You''re far too young to know what you''re doing still, Sarah."

"Throw this idiot out. I can''t believe he had the nerve to try and scam us out of all people," Sarah''s second uncle, Jenson Nees said coldly.

The rest of the Nees family red at Wilbur as well, none of them believing a word of what Sarah had just said.

Wilbur looked frightfully normal, from the clothes he was wearing to the way he presented himself.

There was no way this man was dating the CEO of Cape International.

Just then, two men came in from outside and made their way towards Wilbur.

"He really is Faye Yves'' boyfriend!" Sarah shouted.

Warner was furious. "Enough with this bullshit!"
