Sarah had seen Faye on television before and knew she was the real deal... which meant that Wilbur was definitely telling the truth.
Wilbur then said, "Well then, let''s head out so we can fix your situation as soon as possible. I''ve got other things waiting for me to settle."
Indeed, Wilbur had to find a way to make the money that Karl and the others needed.
Sarah nodded, and Faye said, "We''re in the middle of going through yourpany''s records, Sarah. If everything''s fine, we''ll be able to invest twenty billion dors. Will that be enough?"
"Yes, it''s definitely enough." Sarah was overwhelmed with emotion. Nees Corp was hardly even worth five billion dors. Twenty billion dors was more than enough.
Faye smiled, saying nothing more.
"Let''s go. I''ll handle that Sawyer guy. That''s it, right?" asked Wilbur.
Sarah nodded hurriedly. Despite the fact that the Rochers were a pain in the neck, Wilbur was all the more powerful and more than qualified to talk it out with them.
Following that, Wilbur bid goodbye to Faye and took the train to Hemount City with Sarah.
Due to Hemount City''s unique location, it had always been a municipality in Dasha and had its own government.
The entire city was among mountains and had extremelyplicated terrain.
In the middle of Hemount City was a tall tower called Rocher Tower. It was over three hundred meters tall and considered a cityndmark.
Just then, there were about eight people in the middle of a meeting at the oval- shaped office on the top floor of Rocher Tower.
The man sitting at the head of the table radiated an air of authority, sporting a straight mustache and a crisp suit.
He was the chairman of Rocher Corp, Seamus Rocher.
Next to him was a man in his thirties. His appearance bore some simrities to Seamus'', but he had dark circles and a rather malnourished look about him. This was Seamus'' son, Sawyer Rocher.
The rest of the people in the meeting were the people on the board of directors at Rocher Corp.
Seamus nced at the other people in the meeting. "I''m sure you''ve found out by now that that youngdy Sarah Nees has run away."
"Sir, our n to usurp Nees Corp is going to face some problems if she''s missing," one board member said.
"You''re right. If Sarah goes missing and the wedding can''t happen as nned, that old geezer Warner Nees won''t let us in as shareholders so we can take up more shares."
"Do you think he''s regretting his decision, or he discovered something?"
The other board members spoke up with opinions of their own.
Seamus smirked. "Nees Corp is going bankrupt. I''m pretty sure Warner wouldn''t have the nerve to go back on his word."
"It''s just the youngdy acting on her own ord, then," another board member said.
The board member even nced at Sawyer as he spoke, and it was clear what he was implying.
Seamus let out a cough. "Either way, this is hugely disrespectful of Nees Corp. Tell them to have Sarahe back at once, and have the wedding go on as nned. Or we''ll cancel the investment, and demandpensation for the damage done to our reputation."
"How are they going to even affordpensation?" one of the board members said teasingly.
Seamus smirked. "They still have some fixed assets, don''t they? Considering our power in Hemount City, we''ll rob them clean of everyst penny they have if they don''t hold up their end of the promise without payingpensation."
Everyone else in the room smiled. Nees Corp was doomed to fail, but Rocher Corp was the biggest corporation in all of Hemount City. They would bleed these idiots dry without anything standing in their way.
Rocher Corp had risen to wealth and power through less-than-savory methods, and this was hardly their first time doing something like this. In fact, their entire business was practically built on taking what belonged to others.
Just then, Seamus'' secretary walked over and leaned into his ear. "Mister Seamus, someone''s seen Miss Sarah Nees. She''s back, and there''s a guy with her. They seem awfully close to each other."
