Wilbur sneered. "It''s all thanks to good old Kolton, of course."


    "What did he do?" Sandy asked, terrified.


    Wilbur''s voice was dark. "Pumido isn''t the proper religion you think it is. It''s highly likely that they worship some form of evil demon. Please stop being fooled by them."


    Sandy, Lilian, and the others shook their heads, clearly unable to believe Wilbur.


    "Your elders aren''t even human beings! How would three mortals turn into that disgusting mound of flesh that exploded all over Millerton?" Wilbur shouted.


    His voice wasced with a hint of spiritual pressure, and Sandy and the others could not help but shiver.


    They seemed to remember something and were finally open to admitting things they would not have been able to otherwise as they trembled in Wilbur''s wake.


    Just then, the other starving people let out a growl of unison before pouncing on each other.


    They pinned each other to the ground, opening their mouths and chomping down wildly. It was not long before they were all covered in blood.


    Sandy and the others let out cries of terror at the sight, running towards Wilbur as they trembled.


    Wilbur''s brows furrowed.


    Kolton and the others seemed to have used some sort of a ritual to make their bodies and souls explode, thus tainting all of the people of Millerton and turning them into disgusting, bloodthirsty creatures.


    However, Wilbur did not think that the elders'' main goal of doing this was for the people to feast on each other. There was definitely some ulterior motive waiting for them, one that might even affect all of Terya or even the world.


    Regardless, Wilbur had to stop it now.


    It seemed like the people of Millerton were not going to live much longer, even turning into monsters.


    "Please, sir, please save them." Sandy had finally returned to a logical state of mind as she began to beg Wilbur.


    Lilian looked at Wilbur in terror as well. "You can save them, can''t you, sir?"


    Under Wilbur''s spiritual pressure and the terrifying reality around them, the women finally believed the truth and let go of their own prejudices.


    It seemed like Wilbur was the only person capable of doing anything now.


    The other people within the protection of the shield stared at Wilbur in terror as well, their gazes pleading.


    Wilbur let out a sigh, his brows furrowed.


    The spirits of these people had been tainted, and it was not going to be easy to take care of.


    Just then, a particrly buff man had bitten his opponent to death and drained the body of blood.


    The man straightened back up, now a giant who had grown in size.


    The muscles on his body bulged as he looked positively terrifying. An armor-like crust grew on parts of his body. It seemed like he was turning into the insects that Kolton and the others had summoned earlier.


    The man turned and pounced on a next target at once, pinning it to the ground and feasting on the blood and flesh.


    The sight made Sandy and Lilian go pale immediately, and they screamed in terror.


    This was far more than anything they could take, and they were close to losing their minds.


    Monstrous howls rang through Millerton. It was unclear how many people had been bitten to death by theirpanions now.


    Wilbur was even willing to assume that these people were evolving through feasting on each other. If he were to let this go on, all of Millerton would be destroyed and a monster woulde out of this capable of ruining everything, hellbent until it took over the world.


    "Please, please save us!" Sandy covered her face, sobbing as she screamed with all her might.


    Lilian was terrified as well, looking pleadingly at Wilbur.


    They were all ovee with terror and could not keep their cool any longer knowing that they were at risk of turning into those terrifying creatures at any moment.


    Wilbur eyed them coldly. "Took you long enough to get scared."
