However, a long sword had already appeared in Cameron''s grasp as he pounced forward, shouting, "I don''t have the time to worry about that anymore!"
Dawson gritted his teeth at the sight, channeling a spear before following after him.
The Teryan soldiers saw this and began firing at the two men at once.
However, Cameron and Dawson were both at peak Ambience level and thus pretty skilled.
Cameron swung his sword outwards while running wildly.
The sword aura came whistling over, slicing the rifles and soldiers on one of the vehicles clean in half.
Dawson let out a roar, hurling the spear out of his grasp.
It struck one of the rifles on another vehicle, crushing the weapon as well as exploding the soldier wielding it.
The remaining vehicle saw that things were not looking good and turned sharply to flee at once.
The other two cars were about to turn back as well, but Cameron and Dawson had already arrived at the border.
Cameron let out a cry, slicing the vehicle nearest to him in half with a ruthless swing of his sword that sprayed the air with blood.
Dawson channeled a new spear, leaping into the air with a roar andnding on the other vehicle to drive the spear into it.
The car explodedpletely, and it was clear that its passengers were dead as well.
Both men stood in silence at the border, staring at the destroyed vehicles.
"Let''s go. We''ll take ''em back and bury ''em."
Dawson nodded, and both men headed back.
At the same time, the church militia had rushed over as well.
Under Cameron''s order, they carried the bodies of the fallen believers back.
They then dug a dozen simple graves next to their temporary base, lowering the bodies inside.
Following that, everyone began to pray.
After the prayers, they filled the graves.
Dawson looked at the border, muttering to himself, "We''re going to be in trouble real soon."
"There''s nothing we have to fear. Our people shall not be ughtered like animals," Cameron said solemnly.
Dawson nodded with all his might.
Cameron looked at the church militia.
These members were all Aura level cultivators who had been handpicked from two hundred thousand believers. They were definitely considered a threat against regr people, and excellent fighters.
"My fellow believers, we have been taking our brothers and sisters in from here under His Holiness the Pope''s orders. But now there are people trying to stop us, and they have been ughtering our brothers and sisters as well. What should we do?" Cameron roared.
The members of the church militia responded in unison, "Remain loyal and as one, and take down all enemies."
Cameron nodded hard. "Follow me and prepare for battle."
"Prepare for battle!"
The church militia roared in unison, striking their round shields with their swords, and letting out loud ngs.
Cameron was the first to begin walking to the border. Dawson followed closely behind, along with the church militia.
They stopped around a hundred meters from the border, spreading out to stand in
a line to face the iing battle.
Time slowly ticked by.
Two hourster, around 40 military trucks pulled up. They stopped within a hundred meters of the border.
Over 200 armed soldiers surged out of the vehicles, getting into position for battle and using the vehicles as shields.
Cameron and Dawson stood next to each other, and Dawson frowned. "They''re mercenaries."
"The Fieri Group. These are Gary Olgard''s men, that old fox," Cameron frowned.
Dawson nodded. "What should we do?"
"We''ll attack if they dare to open fire."
