Chapter 1271

Bailey paid them no mind, walking over to Wilbur and looping her arm around his.

The three men burst outughing, clearly thinking little of Wilbur.

    Wilbur sneered coldly. "F*ck off."

"What the f*ck did you just say?" the narrow-eyed man red up at once, shouting at Wilbur.

His friends eyed Wilbur in a hostile manner as well, rolling up their sleeves as if they were about to make a move on Wilbur.

Wilbur smirked. "Get lost unless you''re looking for a beating. I don''t want you to regret this."

"Do you f*cking know who this is? Mister Jarn''s a guest of honor of the head of our gang, how dare you talk to him like that?" one of the other two men said cockily.

Wilbur looked the three men up and down. Indeed, they were all dressed rather nicely. The watches they were wearing alone cost a fortune, and it was clear that they were not ordinary folk.

That didn''t matter, of course. Anyone trying to act out in front of Wilbur would be making a terribly stupid mistake.

"I don''t care who he is. Another word from him, and I''m not going to be as nice," said Wilbur coldly.

The man who had just spoken red up in rage and was about to make a move on Wilbur.

Just then, however, a driver came over and said, "It''s time now, Mister Jarn."

Mister Jarn eyed Wilbur coldly. "You''re in luck today, you piece of shit. I swear to god I''ll break both your legs if I see you again, so you remember just who you''re talking to."

Upon saying so, Miles Jarn turned and entered a Rolls Royce with his friends. Wilbur shook his head, heading into the hotel with Bailey.

Bailey let go of Wilbur''s arm in the elevator, lowering her head. "Sorry. I got scared just now."

    "It''s fine," Wilbur smiled.

The two of them headed back to the room, the tension in the air palpable.

Wilbur nced at Bailey with a smile. "You should get some rest."

"Okay, you rest early too." Bailey practically fled to her room, and not another peep was heard from her.

Wilbur came up to the enormous floor-length windows, his gaze sharpening at the sight of Gamuda City at night.

Coming here was a response to Loja challenging the cultivator circle in Dasha, as well as a personal challenge Wilbur had given himself.

Only by going against strong elites would one constantly be able to improve and do better.

That was the kind of training no amount of meditation could give.

    ...

    Over at the bar.

Cade was feasting on a bloodymb''s leg this time, as Jack trembled on the floor.

"Brief me on what happened," Cade said calmly, munching on his meat.

Jack stuttered, "T-That Wilbur guy killed Sanko with a single punch. He even said..."

"What did he say?" Cade asked, a friendly smile on his face.

Jack had no choice but to tell the truth. "He asked for you to go yourself and stop sending these idiots to their graves."

Cade let out a peal ofughter, making Jack tremble from head to toe.

Cade finished thest of the mutton left, tossing the bone aside.

A huge Pitbull pounced on it at once, crushing the bone in loud, smacking chews.

Cade wiped his mouth with the napkin from the servant. "Tell Wilbur Penn that I''m inviting him to Tiger Manor tomorrow at noon. Tell him to please show up on time."

"W-What? Me?" Jack asked in terror.

Cade eyed Jack coldly. "Who else should I be sending, then?"

    "I-I''m scared," Jack said shakily.

Cade smirked. "Ah, so you''re telling me that you''re not afraid of me eh?"

He waved a hand, and the Pitbull let out a howl before charging toward Jack.
