Chapter 2723

Lanky Man could not help shing a thumb-up at Frank.

However, the gesture changed just as Frank was not watching—with a sh of

blue light, countless needles rained down on Frank!

    Nheless, Frank did not move.

The needles continued toward him before nging loudly as they came to a stop

near him, as if striking a wall.

Lanky Man could not help being stunned—that was his killing stroke, and he

However, the kid was somehow able to cast some barrier that nullified his attacks.

What the hell was that even?!

"Curious, aren''t you?" Frank asked just then. "I''m sure the people you butchered

would''ve been curious about your powers too. Now that the tables have turned, I

must ask—has it ever crossed your mind that you''re the same as them?"

At those words, Lanky Man''s knees buckled and he dropped to his knees.

It was only natural that he imagined his defeat, but not one this pathetic.

Frank never even broke a sweat, but nothing worked against him, and it clearly

appeared that he had not gone all out yet!

    "Screw you!"

Unable to ept reality, Lanky Man grabbed a needle and charged at Frank.

Frank simply smiled in disdain and sent Lanky Man flying back whence he came

with a thought. "I apologize for showing you the world so soon, kiddo. Bye."

Frank knew very well that Lanky Man was dead inside and had no coherent

questions to speak of, and he killed him with his own needle.

The Lanky Man''s fellow apprentices knew death was assured as they watched

and scrambled to crawl toward the distance, not giving up hope to flee.

Frank slowlynded in front of them, chuckling. "Come on. Tell me how you found

out that the priestess has powers."

The Lanky Man''s fellow apprentices traded nces.

They had seen this scene y out countless times—but with them on the side of

    the winner, proud and lofty!

Nheless, one of them—a woman—red viciously at Frank. "Do you think we

    fear death?"

Frank smirked. "If you aren''t afraid of

death, why would you crawl all over

the ground without a care about

    your personal image?

"And actually, fear of death isn''t

    something to be ashamed of—it''s

the refusal to admit it. So tell me

what I want to know right now."

The woman smirked. "Do you take us for fools? We''d be dead if we told you

    anything."

Frank smiled and nodded. "Smart, but that isn''t enough."

With just a thought, Frank sent a needle tearing through between the woman''s

    eyes.

    Everyone including the woman

thought she was dead, but it turned

out that Frank did not kill her.

Instead, he struck one of her

    acupoints, inflicting such agony that

left her yelling and writhing around!

    "Alright! I''ll tell you everything!"

The woman certainly could not withstand such torture, even yelling that she was

giving in before Frank said a word.

Smiling and nodding, Frank said, "Now that''s better, or it''d really have been a

    waste of my time."

He pulled out the needle, and the woman sighed in relief before saying, "A

mysterious man told us, but we only have his number."

With those words, she sent him the number, and Frank sent it to Jouri.

As he turned to leave, he said, "You can now all do it yourselves, everyone."

No one breathed a word—not that they dare to.
