Chapter 10: 10


    Lia frowned as she saw her grandmother appear. She didn''t like her grandmother from her father''s side


    because she always made Lia do things she didn''t want to. Lilith, Lia''s grandmother , always cared for


    Lia. After the kidnapping , Lilith made sure that she had bodyguards with her twenty four seven. But


    that''s not the only reason why she disliked her . It was simply because she was mean and rude.


    "Oh my baby!" Lilith cries out as she walks over to Lia with her arms out. Cradling Lia , the familiar


    perfume smell drowned her nose making Lia want to run away.


    "Grandmother." She spat out as she hugged her and then soon departed. Once they did Lilith grabbed


    her chin roughly and forced her to look at her.


    "Are you having fun at school?"


    Lia blushed as she shifted on her feet and she simply nodded her head. "Yes grandmother."


    Why is she here? Please tell me she''s not going to be staying for the weekend. Lia thought as she


    picked up her green bag. Then a horn interrupts them and she smiles as she walks outside. "Oh who is


    this?" Lilith said as she trails behind Lia.


    When Lia went outside , Ace stood by his car with his hands in his head . "Ace!" She cheered as she


    ran up to him , pulling him into a hug. Ace stumbles a bit before catching her and hugging her back.


    "Hi baby." He whispers as he kisses her cheek. Once again making her ears hot.


    Lilith watched from afar and she didn''t like what she was seeing. "Gina who is this?" She asks her


    daughter inw. Gina simply smiled at her. Oh no... she''s in a grumpy mood again...


    "Ace. Her friend." She shrugs off as she waves her hands to them. Lilith hummed as she looked back


    at the duo . Only hatred filled her mind .


    How could someone so low dare to associate with someone royalty like Lia? It absolutely was a


    disgrace and Lilith wasn''t gonna have it. Ace felt the stare of Lilith'' s eyes and he looks at her ring


    eyes. Ace looked at her confusingly before shrugging and opening the passenger door for Lia. "Have a


    good day Lia!" Gina cas out with a worried look.


    Lia only giggled as she gave her mother thumbs up and they took off for school.


    Good thing it was Friday.

    When they got to school , as always , the students stared them down suspiciously and that only made


    Lia''s cheek red as a bum. "Hey bunny , so I wanted to ask you something." Lia says calmly as she


    swings her hands .


    Lia''s heart was pounding because she didn''t want to get this knowledge wrong about him hurting


    Bethany. "What''s that baby?" He asks and she sighs as they stop to her locker.


    "Well I saw Bethany in the bathroom one time..." she trails off , hoping to get a reaction out of him but


    nheless he kept a straight face. Though he was trying to hide it and he hid it well.


    "Bethany? What did you two talk about in the restroom?" He speaks as gets closer to her and rest a


    hand on her hip. She bits her lip and looks around.


    "W-Well um... she was really beaten and she didn''t look pretty anymore. And.. and when I asked her


    what happened or if I could help she just told me to go away. She said that my boyfriend had


    something to do with it." The word slightly made a blush . "B-But I don''t have a boyfriend and I''m only


    close to you.."


    Ace smiled at her and only titled her chin. "So you think I did something to her?" Lia''s ears turned red


    as she shook her head and looked down. Ace only brought her back up , and made sure she held eye


    contact. "Yes. I did have something to do with it."


    Those words.


    Those simple words are what brought Lia to step back from him. This pained him a lot and he tried


    taking a set closer to her but she only shook her head and gave him pleading eyes. "S-shes a girl ..


    why would you do that Ace?" She whispers out as she feels the tears threatening toe out.


    "I didn''t hit her. I don''t hit girls ." He says as he ys with his fingers. It was a habit of his when he got


    caught doing something by his mother. Though it''s been a while since this has happened and it only


    shocked him. "Look , she was being really mean to you! I''d do anything just to keep you smiling Lia."


    Lia looked at him with a crazy look before shaking her head. "I-I''m a big girl. I can handle myself." She


    says coldly as she starts walking away. Her arms crossed and her nose high.


    Ace watched her before sighing and walking away. He would have to exin something so she''d start


    talking to him.

    When Lia got to her fifth ss , she saw Ace leaning in the lockers with a phone in his hands. She


    really missed him . They weren''t partners anymore for their economics ss and that made Ace ticked


    . Nheless , she ignored him and walked to her ss seeing Carson already there. "What''s wrong


    with you?" Carson says as she pokes Lia''s face.


    Lia sighs moving her hand away. "A-Ace did something to Bethany."


    "Duh who doesn''t know that." She says with a smirk and that only made Lia''s eyes widened. Did


    everyone know? Was Ace truly a bully?!


    Lia frowned as sheid her head on the desk. She would have to talk to him and tell him no more lies


    and toe truthfully. Though Lia didn''t like doing these type of things because she felt awkward about


    it. Her phone buzzes and it''s her grandmother calling.


    "Be right back Carson."


    She reluctantly got out of her chair , ss was going to start in ten minutes so she hoped Lilith would


    not stall like she usually did when she was on the phone. "Yes grandmother ?"


    "I want you toe home after school. No hanging out today. I''ll be staying for a week to keep and eye


    on you." No way! This definitely didn''t set right in Lia''s tummy .


    "B-But me and Carson are gonna have a sleepover this weekend." She says with a quivering lip. Lilith


    sighed as she ced a hand on her hip.

    "Lia Esme Andrews. Please just listen to me dear ande home when school ends."


    Lia was furious now. Though when Lilith would say her full name she meant she was serious. But Lia


    didn''t care about that. She wanted a normal school year where she doesn''t have to worry about being


    sick or treatments .


    "I don''t want to! I-I wanna be a normal teenager ! Please gra-


    "Enough." She cuts her off and Lia squeals as she lowered her head in defeat. "Go to your driver and


    don''t try anything stupid Lia. You know I love you right ?"


    Lia sighed as she looked around and saw a boy staring at her. She blushed as she looked away. "Yes ,


    I love you as well." Lilith smiles as she was starting to act like a good girl and not a brat.


    "Alright have fun at school!" She says with a smile and hangs up. Lia sighed as she ran a hand through


    her head and then she smelled this god awful smell making her toes curl .


    She turned and saw the boy before . He was smoking like he wasn''t in school and Lia only gasped as


    she pinched her nose. "Trouble in paradise?" He speaks. His thick British ent soothing Lia''s ears.


    "W-why are you smoking? There''s no smoking in school." She says with a frown and the boy walked


    closer and blowed a smoke in her face. Lia res as she blows the smoke away.


    "Fuck the school rules." He says with a low shrug as he steps on his cigarette and then he looks down


    at the girl with a smirk. "What''s your name cutie?"


    Lia shook her head as she once again red at him. "My names Lia."


    The name sounded nice for her and the boy nodded his head. "Well my name is Sebastian. I''m new


    here so go easy on me." He speaks as he pats her head .


    Lia exhaled a breath before walking back to Carson.


    Hopefully she''d never have to see that guy again.
