《Innocent or Not》 Chapter 1: 01 Chapter 1: 01 Lia contemted on whether she was gonna wear her pink ne or her ck beaded ne. She rested a hand on her hip casually as she eyed the nes. How ever was she was suppose to choose? It was to be her first day in a public school and to say the least , she was nervous. Nheless she was also happy that she was cancer free meaning she didn''t need to spend her long boring days in a hospital bed. "Dear hurry up ! The car will be leaving soon!" Her mother yells but Lia was oblivious to her mother''s calls. Lia rose her buttoned nose in the air , proudly. She would have to go with her pink ne because she loved pink. She decided on that and sessfully put it on. She beamed as she did a few twirls. "Lia!" Her mother yells and she squeals as she grabs her green backpack and raced downstairs. Her mother stood , her suit on and her hair wrapped in a bun. Her sweetvender scent lingering off of her making Lia giggle. She loves the way her mother smelled. So fresh yet so deadly . "S-Sorry! Alright I''m ready let''s do it!" Lia cheers proudly as she storms her way to the car that was waiting for her. Her mother chuckled but trailed behind her. - When they arrived twenty minutester , Lia gawked at the school. She dreamt of school ever since she was five. Even though she was only seventeen, barely experiencing school . She made her duty to have to best two years of school and then she was off to college. "Remember my precious , if anything happens I want you to call me. If you feel out a breath then use your inhaler and please remember to not drink the milk ." Her mother dreads out as her face goes pale . All innocent Lia did was nod ferociously . She was haft paying attention because the public school in front of her amazed her more than the schools on TV. "Yes mama. I won''t . Can I please leave now?" She smiles as she pulls her mother in a hug. Gina , her mother , soon rxed with her touch and hugged her back. Leaving kisses on her forehead. Then the bell ranged slightly frightened the young girl. It was only the warning bell though . "Oh no . I''mte. Bye bye I''ll see you after school!" She gets on her tippy toes and kisses her cheek before running to the school doors. Once she entered she wowed the ce. Yeah she saw public schools on TV but she didn''t expect it to be this huge and big. She felt embarrassed as she saw all the teenagers rushing to ss so she held on her backpack strings tighter and proceeded to the principal''s office. While she was walking she saw some students making out or eitherughing and joking . She felt happy as she prayed this school wasn''t some bullying school like all the books she read. Minutester she stopped at a door that said the MAIN OFFICE and she stumbled in. "Excuse for beingte?" Thedy with the big round sses says as she typed on herputer furiously. Lia slightly titled her head as she watched her. "Excuse me?" She whispers and thedy snapped her fingers pointing to the room thatbeled the principal''s office. She knocked and then a low "Come in" , was what she her and she walked in. The principal was on his computer typing away and Lia smiled as she wobbled her way to his desk. "Hi I''m Lia. My mother Gina Andrews told me toe to you for my schedule. The principal slowly lifted his head and then ps his head as if he''s forgotten something. "Ah so you''re the princess! Wee to Johnson Public High school . We sure have been waiting for you." The old man smiled as he stood up and walked to Lia. Lia really hated being called a princess. "Please sir . My mother prefers to not make my appearance as royalty known." She blushes nervously as she bounces on her feet. Mr.Nelson noticed the young girls action and smiled at her. She reminded him of his grownup daughter. "Ah that''s right Lia. I forgot . Anyways I have someone toe and help you with your schedule, Uh.. Ms.Dart would you pleasee here for a second." He yells as he settles back down in his seat. Soon a girl strides in with a smile . "Yes headmaster?" Headmaster? Lia thought but didn''t pay much mind to it. The girls eyes traveled to Lia and her eyes widened a she looked at the girl. "Oh my gosh your eyes are beautiful! I wish I was heterochromia ." (A condition where the colored part of the eye is multicolored.) The principalughed deeply as he clutched his big belly. "Rose I want you to meet Lia . Please show her all her sses." Rose smiles at the shy girl and nodded her head professionally . "Alright Sir. Hi I''m Rose Dart student council President !" She took her hand out ready for a shake and Lia noticed Rose''s freshly painted nails. Her mother never let her paint her nails . Lia blushed a deep scarlet red before shaking Rose''s hand a little too aggressive making the Headmaster chuckle. "H-Hi! I''m Lia Andrews it''s nice to meet such a pretty girl." Lia greeted but felt more embarrassed. Rose giggled as they stopped shaking hands. Rose grabbed Lia''s schedule and examined it. "Lucky you Lia! You have some of my sses and you have first period with me. The bell for the first period rings in five minutes so let''s find your locker and then I''ll take you to ss." Rose smiled as they started exiting the office. Lia felt a little nervous and prayed she didn''t have to speak in front of the ss. She was scared when people would stare at her. "Hey Rose. Gonnae to the arcade today?" A girl says as she walks near Rose making her giggle softly. "You know it Ellie. Hey meet Lia Andrews she just transferred today!" Lia blushes as she ys with fingers. "H-Hi it''s nice to meet you." The girl named Ellie looked sweet. Her long blonde hair in a low ponytail and her pink dress made her so gorgeous. But looks can be deceiving . Ellie smiles as she nods her but doesn''t acknowledge her making Lia frown. "Let''s chatter." Was all Ellie simply said as she walked away . Rose shrugged slightly and they soon stopped at a locker. Lia could feel her excitement of having her very own first locker . She even squealed when she opened it making Rose giggle at the girl . She was purely adorable. Lia soon somehow felt ufortable as she felt a gaze on her. More like a gaze that gave her incredibly strong goosebumps. She turned around and her eyesnded on dark ck eyes piercing in her gray and ck eyes. She didn''t know why the boy was looking at her like that but whatever it was she didn''t want to be mixed with it. She walked away with Rose but still felt the gaze of him. - When they got to ss , nervousnessced Lia as she felt the whole ss looking at her. Like she said before she hated when people would stare at her . "This is Lia Andrews . She transferred from which school?" Ms.Gowan asks . She was a much olderdy probably in her forty''s . "O-Oh I''ve actually been in the hospital all my life because I was sick. B-but I''m all good n-now!" She mentally ps herself for stuttering again. She heard a fewughs making her saddened and she was afraid a tear would fall at any minute but she didn''t want to act childish again. "Oh no. What were you sick with?" A random girl asks her eyes filled with worry. Lia gulped nervously . "I h-had lung cancer . I was born with a weak lung and I had to wait until I was fifteen to get a new one. O-Once I did I slowly got better ." The girl''s eyes saddened hearing her story but simply nodded and then the door opens. Lia turns her head revealing the same boy with the hard ck eyes , piercing into her eyes once again. "Mr.Romano it''s nice of you to join us. Though it''s rare." Ms.Gowan res at the boy and the guy didn''t keep his eyes off the little girl he saw in front of her. Looking at her, all he felt was possessiveness and adoration. He took his seat in the back and looked through the window. Ms.Gowan merely smacks her desk lightly . "Ah. That boy . Well Lia you can take the seat next to Ace since it''s the only one open." She points to the boy with the terrifying eyes making Lia go pale. But she did as she says and took her seat next to him. She was d the desk weren''t connected so she had a little bit of room to herself. She felt Ace''s stare on her making her a little ufortable. Sheid her hands in herp and listened as Ms.Gowan was giving instructions. "Your name? What was it again?" Ace asks making Lia flinch silently. She turned to him and looked him in his eyes. "Lia Andrews." She whispers as she turns her attention to the board. Chapter 2: 02 Chapter 2: 02 Ms.Gowan continued her lesson about the newly inventions and Lia was dying to leave. With Ace constantly staring at her she felt small and ufortable. Lia grazed her finger on her paper and a small paper cut formed. Lia hissed and watched the little blood pour out. "Here let me see." Than he gave her kisses over her little finger making Lia blush uncontrobly. "U-um Ace?" She whispers making Ace look up at her . "I-I think it''s all good now." She smiles softly as she snatched her finger out of his grasp. That only made Ace mad but he couldn''t say anything . The bell ranged shortly and Lia smiled as she hoped she would make a friend in her next ss. "Wait." Ace calls out for her making her confused but she did as he said and waited. "Can I walk you to your next ss?" Ace asked. Lia felt ufortable once again but nodded her head with a smile. She gave Ace her schedule making Ace give her a small smile . "Mathematics." He mumbled as he started walking , Lia trailing behind him. He took long big steps making Lia huffed in annoyance as she couldn''t keep up with him. Ace noticed her actions making him smile and he began taking smaller steps. "Oh you should wash that cut first." Lia was more shocked as he grabbed her hand . She struggle a bit butplied and let him take her to the restroom. Ace said he would wait outside and Lia was more than happy to have some space from him. She washed a her little cut , slightly wincing at the pain but she ignored it . Her eyes wield up for a second but she only walked outside and ced a bandage on her finger she kept in her bag for emergency. "Ready?" Ace asks as he nces at her finger . Softly smiling at the bandage. She nodded her head and they began walking. He held her wrist in his hand only making her more confused . It was weird . This tall maybe around six foot boy was holding hands with a girl who was nowhere near his size. To most it looked like they were merely siblings. Lia looked around noticing all eyes on them making Lia more confused. She began ying with her backpack strings and they soon stopped to a ssbeled math. Ace turned around and let her hand go. She looked up at him and studied him. He was beautiful in her eyes. He sure is pretty. She thought but giggled at the thought. "What''s funny ?" Ace smiles at her and runs a finger on his shaved chin. Lia squeaked out a nothing and shifted on her feet , avoiding eye contact. Ace used his hands to turn her facepletely to his , giving her cheeks a little squeeze. "Come on , tell me what was funny ." Lia stuttered a bit but answered. "Well it''s just you''re really pretty b-but boys aren''t called pretty ." She mumbles as she feels her cheeks rise with redness. Ace watched her for a couple of seconds before laughing deeply and letting her go. She stumbled a bit before looking at him. "You''re so cute. Wait for me here okay?" He says with a few more chuckles only making Lia more embarrassed. She nodded shyly and headed in the ssroom. There wasn''t much students in making her rx more. She walked up to a man who was reading a book . He looked into the book . "H-hello sir I''m Lia Andrews." She speaks and then man looked up at her through his sses. "Oh princess Lia. You don''t have to do any introductions just take your seat anywhere." He smiles gently and Lia silently groaned . Did everyone know I was a princess ? Why can''t I just be normal teenager? "Thank you." She said as she took a seat in the front. She sighed as she felt her tummy growl . She forgot to eat this morning ... too excited for school. The bell soon ranged shortly and students start to pour in making Lia look at all the studentsing in. "Hey you there." Lia''s ears perk up as she looks up at the voice. "My seat ,move." A girl says as she as a smug look on her face. Lia only blushed as she got up and sat in the open seat behind her. The girl sat sloppily in the chair and instantly went to sleep. Lia only looked at the girl and her beautiful dyed hair. Her light blue hair making her so pretty. "Alright students. We have a new student , Lia Andrews please treat her well." The teacher named Mr.rk says with a smile. Lia only nodded her slowly and Mr. rk started his lesson. Then the seat next to her was taken. She looks up and sees a boy with blue eyes and blonde hair. "Hey cutie." He smirks. Lia blushed as she slightly nodded her head. "Hello ." The boy looked her over and liked what he saw. He picked a strand of her hair and touched it softly. "Um..?" "I''m sorry. You''re hair is beautiful. My names Penn." He smiles as he lets her hair go. "Wanna have a quickie new girl?" His smirk growing and Lia only frowned her brows as she didn''t understand what Penn was asking of her. Lia blushed from embarrassment and thought for a second. Quickie... Penn res at the girl before getting up and getting back to his seat. Lia felt herself saddened as she thought she did something wrong . "Carson pleasenguage. Let''s continue the lesson." The girl named Carson scowled before dropping her head back down. Lia only smiled as her full attention was on Mr.rk. - Minutester the ss was done. Lia was thinking she should talk to Carson , hopefully making her first friend. She looked pretty sketchy but you can''t judge a book from its cover right? Lia took nervous steps to the girl that was still sleeping. Lia poked her not receiving a response. She gave her shoulder a few taps. Carson groans as she moves around in her sleep. "Mom I did the dishes!" Her head rises up and Lia giggles at the slobber on her cheek. "Were you having a good sleep Carson?" Lia smiled as she watched Carson. Carson shrugged before standing up. "C-Can you tell me what the game Quickie is ?" She asks nervously. Carsonughed before looking at her . Definitely fucking Innocent. Carson thought. "Like a quick fuck in the janitor''s closet." Blood oozing out of her . "You okay new girl? Oh bloody hell someone get the nurse!" The coach , Coach Kay , says while pulling the girl off the ground. Lia was in soft tears as she huped a little , shaking her head while doing so. "I-It''s hurts." She choked out as she felt someonee behind her. Soft hands grabbed her hand and she was faced to Aces eyes. He frowned slightly before his eyes shes with angry. "Who did this Lia?" He coos but Lia only cried not being able to say anything. "Let''s get you to the nurse." He said as he picked her up . Lia instantly wrapped her arms around his neck and her cries seemed to ease. When they got to the nurses office , The nurse gave her a something to stop the bleeding and told her she was going to be fine just a little sore. "I-I''m sorry for ruining your shirt." She whispers as she wipes her swollen red eyes. Ace only chuckled as he wiped her tears away. "It''s okay angel. You can stain my shirt for as long as you want." Lia giggles and then the door opens and her mother walks in with a worried look. "Lia! I came here immediately! Are you okay ? Do you need something ? Who''s this ?" She eyes Ace suspiciously but Ace only wrapped an around Lia , looking at her mother strangely . "Oh mom! This is Ace . He''s been so nice to me!" She smiles as she gets up from the bed and into her mother''s arm. Her mother still looked at Ace suspiciously but then she sighed and gave in the hug. "I''m just d you''re okay. I wish I could stay but I have work ." Lia giggles as she pulls away and gives her mother a kiss on the cheek. "It''s okay. Get to work I''m fine now." Gina smiles softly before nodding her head and leaving. Lia sighed deeply as she still felt her noes bother her but she wasn''t gonna let this ruin her first day . A hand wrapped around her small hands and Lia looked up seeing Ace''s worried eyes. "Can you tell me who did this now?" He calmly says. Everyone knows Ace. More importantly what he was capable of. After all he was gang leader. There was plenty of those around this city but out of most - His was the most dangerous. Leni Side. The name of the gang was named after his mother . But she diedter on along with his father. "Well I don''t remember!" Sheughs before licking her lips. "It kinda was a blur we were ying a game after all." The bell rings slightly startling Lia. Ace only looked at her before he sighed and nodded. "Lunch time." - When the two got to the cafeteria, Lia was amazed . Sure the cafeteria seemed old and loud . But she didn''t care because she was purely amazed. Fascinated . To the really fancy Tv''s , to the students. "I''ve never seen someone so excited to be in a cafeteria." Ace says with a grin as he watched Lia. Lia blushes as she looked up at him . "W-well you don''t get to see a cafeteria much in the hospital." She mumbles . She was really trying to provoke him as she squinted her eyes. Trying her best to be intimidating. Ace raised his eyebrows and looked at her for a second. He chuckles at her as she kept looking - well more like red at him. "W-What''s funny?" She was now embarrassed once again and shifted on her feet. She frowned slightly . "Come on angel. Let''s just get you some food." He grabbed her hands and interlocks it with his and carried her way. Lia once again was confused but sheplied. Do all boys do this? When they got their food which was a simple burger, Ace couldn''t take his eyes off her. One thing was she was a messy eater. She didn''t eat too fast she was just a very messy eater. She huffed as she felt her eyes water. Ace noticed and chuckles deeply shaking his head. Lia only frowned and wiped her handspletely. "No . I would never do anything to hurt you Lia." Since he was sitting right next to her , he used a napkin to wipe her lip. "I can''t describe it but I don''t want to ever see you cry so when you''re with me you''ll always feel safe." Lia was speechless as she watched this. She was happy mixed with sadness because he was frowning slightly. "Okay I believe you." She giggles. "You''re my first friend!" She cheers as she wrapped her arms on his neck. Ace was frozen as he loved her scent. He could feel his heartbeat exhrating. He wrapped his arms on her tiny waist and hugged her tightly. "I''m d . You''re my first friend as well." Ace never really got close to anyone . Dealing with the death of his parents , nothing interested him. Nothing. Until her. Lia smiled as she leaned back and looked at him. "Really? Then let''s be the best of friends ." She smiled as his hand was still wrapped around her waist . He merely nodded his head with augh and kissed her cheek letting her go. She blushed but continued eating her food. Then when she looks up she sees a few eyes looking at her making Lia look at them weirdly. "Why is everyone staring at us? Do they want to be friends too?" Lia gasped as she turned to Ace . But she remembered the words he said before that she''ll always feel safe with him. "I''m sorry I''ll never say anything bad again." He sayszily as heid his head on her shoulder. "Do you pinky promise?" She held her small pinky out and waited for his answer. He only raised a brow at her. "What''s that?" Lia gasped as she pped her cheeks dramatically. Ace slightly winced at that . "Don''t hurt yourself." Lia shook her head. "A pinky promise is a promise that you keep and if you don''t then you''ll sink down to the bad ce and never rise again. First you lock pinky''s." She grabbed his pink and they connected. " See , now will you pinky promise to never say a bad word again? " Ace smiled at her as he thought what she was doing was adorable. "I pinky promise." He kisses his thumb. Lia looked at him strangely. "You kiss your thumb as well." Lia did as he said and then they let go. Lia giggles as she turned back around and continued eating. She was happy . She made a new friend. Jane , a maid of hers says with a soft smile. Lia was on her bed with a smile on her face as she did her homework. "Yes thank you! Can I have pancakes please?" She asked nicely . Jane only smiled as she nodded her head. Jane has always been her maid ever since she was five. Too her Jane was like her second mother she could depend on. Her phone buzzed and she looked at it confusingly. Hey . Can Ie over ? She totally forgot she gave her number to Ace yesterday. Lia felt her heartbeat rise and she grabbed her phone , almost falling off the bed at that . Yes ! Let''s have a sleepover ! She texted back with a couple of emojis. It''s a school night . You need your sleep silly . Text me your address. He replied back making Lia saddened but she understood. She gave him her address and got up from her bed waltzing over to her closet. She pulled out a yellow summer dress and she let her hair fall low. After changing , the door opened and Jane walked in with her favorite blueberry pancakes. "Yay!" She cheers as she sits in her seat and devours the pancakes. Jane giggles at the girl. "Slow down dear." She scolds as she gave Lia a look. Lia nodded her head and said a low "yes ma''am" Minutester the door bell ranged and Lia haspletely finished with her pancakes. She skipped down the stairs and to the door but someone stopped her. "Lia what did I say before? Don''t open the door without one of us." James her butler scolds . Lia blushed from embarrassment but nodded her head. "Sorry." James ruffles her hair and gave her a short smile before opening the door. "Yes?" James asks as he looks at Ace suspiciously. Ace did the same and then saw a Lia below James knees. Ace smiled at her and Lia smiled as well. "I''m here for her." James furrowed his brows before looking down at Lia. "You made a friend and didn''t tell me?" James says with a frown and Lia giggles as she let''s Ace in fully . "I''m sorry ! We''ll chatter . We''re going to my roo- "Not happening." Her mothers voice speaks up as she looks at them. She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at Ace suspiciously once again. "You again? What is this?" Ace cleared his throat as he smiles at Gina. "I''m just hanging with her , there''s nothing to worry about." Gina was about to say something but Lia groaned. "Mama... please . He''s my first friend l-let us hang please?" She whimpers as she feels the tearsing to her eyes. She held on Ace''s arm as she looks at her more with pleading eyes. This tactic usually worked on her mother. Ace winced as he wiped away her tears. "Don''t cry ? We can hang another time beautiful." He smiles as he kisses her cheek. Though he didn''t want to leave but he knew it would take time for there rtionship to grow. That is , with him and Gina. Gina looked at her crying daughter before she sighed. "Fine Fine! She shook her head and held his arm , leading him to her bathroom. "Sit." She demands with her best scary face. Ace only smiled at her and sat on the toilet . Lia got a cloth and put water on it. She cleared the blood fully and she looked at Ace. He was already staring at her. "W-What?" She blushes as she gets a bandage from her cab. Aceughed deeply as she came back and ripped the bandage open. She tripped over his foot slightly but Ace caught her. He held her firm and Lia blushed from embarrassment. "Clumsy." Ace whistles making Lia huff and she securely ced the bandage on . "Does it hurt?" She whispers as she still looks at the mark. Ace shook his head and Lia sighed. "Good , what happened ?" "W-why are you smoking? There''s no smoking in school." She says with a frown and the boy walked closer and blowed a smoke in her face. Lia res as she blows the smoke away. "Fuck the school rules." He says with a low shrug as he steps on his cigarette and then he looks down at the girl with a smirk. "What''s your name cutie?" Lia shook her head as she once again red at him. "My names Lia." The name sounded nice for her and the boy nodded his head. "Well my name is Sebastian. I''m new here so go easy on me." He speaks as he pats her head .
