Chapter 13 You Are My Wife

Chapter 13 You Are My Wife

When Allison woke up, the sky was already bright and the time was already half past seven. “Damn it!”

She eximed. It was Monday therefore it was working day. She initially nned to wake up at seven

so she would not bete for work. However she did not expect that she would not be able to fall asleep

untilte night and she had overslept in the morning. She cleaned herself up and hurriedly went

    downstairs.

“Missus.” Bernard’s voice was heard from the living hall. Hearing his voice, Allison looked towards the

ce his voice came from. She then noticed Bernard was standing beside the dining table and

Alexander had sat there well-dressed. He was using the knife and fork with his slender fingers to have

his breakfast, and it seemed like he had done it for quite some time.

“Morning.” Allison only stammered after her mind went nk for a moment. Bernard pulled out a chair

beside Alexander for her and gestured her toe sit down. Throwing a nce at Alexander who was

as cold as an iceberg, Allison shook her head and said with a low voice, “I’m not hungry.” She still did

not know whether Alexander was angry or not. If he was still angry, wouldn’t her existence provoke him

further? She was not that insensible. After saying that, she wanted to run away from the scene.

“Come and sit here.” To her surprise, Alexander slightly lifted his eyes, stared at her and said with an

imperative tone of voice. Allison did not dare to ignore his order; she then quickly walked towards him

and sat down obediently. After that, Bernard carried her breakfast over and retreated sensibly without

    being asked to.

Alexander still continued to have his breakfast yet Allison had not dared to make a move for quite a

while. Firstly, she still felt guilty when she faced Alexander. If he knew she had seen that card, she

wondered whether he would murder her so she would bring the secret to grave. Secondly, his way of

eating was elegant and his every movement made her thought of nobles, therefore she had no idea

how to start her meal. After half a minute, Alexander put down his fork and knife and took out a napkin

to wipe his mouth. He then ordered ndly. “Finish it.”

“Oh, okay.” Allison did not dare to think any further and she quickly engulfed the bread and milk in front

of her. After finishing her breakfast and she was ready to leave the house, Alexander’s car had been

waiting at the main gate. It seemed like he was waiting for her. Allison slightly hesitated because she

was worried of gossips. If those from thepany had witnessed her getting out of Mr. President’s car,

it was afraid that a hugemotion would be stirred in thepany. Plus, she refused to be in the

same car with Alexander anymore because it was too stressful. She still wanted to live for a couple

    more years!

She then said to him carefully, “I could take the metro to save you from the trouble.” Hearing her words,

Alexander who was reading the newspaper raised his eyes. He turned his head and stared at her, his

eyes stayed on her flushed face for several seconds.

After that, he said, “Allison Gibson, have you forgotten something?” Allison was baffled. “Forgotten

    what?”

“The fact that you’re my wife.”

“Oh.” Allison no longer said another word and she boarded the car docilely. Because of those words,

her heart had suddenly gone soft. No matter what kind of unhappy things had urred between them,

and no matter how Alexander used to be, he was now her husband, and she was his wife. If there was

no ident, they would be with each other until the end of life.
