Chapter 14 Can You Let Go Of Me First


    Linda was still trying to figure out what was on Cecil’s mind when he stopped at the edge of the bed


    and curled his lips in disdain. “Your mouth is saying one thing, but your face is saying another.”


    Linda nervously lowered her head to avoid eye contact. “Three days before the wedding, Leona just left


    a note saying that she couldn’t marry you.”


    “Three days before the wedding?” Cecil asked dubiously.


    “Yes.”


    “But she called me the night before the wedding.” Cecil bent forward slightly to see Linda’s reaction.


    Her eyes widened in surprise. “Really?”


    Annoyed, Cecil pinched her chin so hard that she winced in pain.


    “Do you think I’m talking nonsense with you?”


    Linda was forced to meet his gaze. The uncontroble anger in his eyes made her want to shrink back
