CHAPTER 39


    Atif saw thedy enter the fast food building at the corner of the street.


    Because thedy''s looks and behavior catches Atif''s attention he decides to follow her to the fast food.


    Atif got interested in her. He wants to know her furthermore.


    Atif can''t just ept that he was ignored like that by a woman. She is the only woman who can resist


    his charm and have the nerve to ignore him. He was never ignored by any woman like that before.


    Most of the women he met got interested in talking to him, and knew him further because of his looks,


    charm and status in life.


    But thisdy is different so Atif was challenged by her behavior.


    In addition, thedy is pretty cute. She is tiny and slim. Her face looks beautiful even though she is


    wearing eyesses. Atif can''t forget her bright brown eyes with long eyshes. When Atif looks into


    her eyes when she is staring at him he gets this feeling that he has seen those eyes before.


    But Atif just ignores the feeling for he thought it''s impossible because thedy looks like an Asian


    woman, a foreigner who maybe just arrived in this country.


    Atif wants to know who she is because there is something that he can''t exin. He got this feeling that


    he met her before but he doesn''t know where or when. He wants to know if what he feels is for real or it


    is just an illusion.


    So Atif also goes to the fast food to follow thedy.


    When he saw thedy order food and dine in on the fast food he entered the fast food immediately and


    ordered some food.


    Then he walks towards the table where thedy is sitting and asks her if he can share on the table.


    "Excuse me Madam. Can I sit here?" Pointing the chair opposite in front of thedy.


    Atif didn''t wait for thedy to answer. He just put his food on the table and sat down on the opposite


    chair in front of thedy.


    Aliyah was so surprised when he recognized who was sitting in front of her.


    Aliyah can''t believe Atif will still follow her after what she did to him a while ago.


    She knew that Atif was embarrassed by her action when they met on the footbridge.


    And because of that Aliyah thinks that he will not follow her or talk to her anymore.


    But she is wrong. Atif still follows her.


    Aliyah had no choice but to face Atif now even though she is not ready for this encounter.


    It''s been too long since thest time they talked. Atif is just a little boy way back when she left him.


    Aliyah is not ready to answer his questions about why she left and never talks to him again. Aliyah


    remembers how Atif cried that day but she is determined to leave that time.


    Anyway Atif doesn''t know that she is Haya or even Aliyah this time that''s why she decided to talk to


    him.


    In fact he will never recognize her easily for she is hiding in a different identity and appearance.


    Then after a serious consideration if she will talk to Atif or just wait for Atif to ask questions again Aliyah


    got the nerve to asks Atif this question;


    What do you want?" Aliyah asked.


    "Just want to sit here to know your name." Atif answered without hesitation and looked straight into her


    eyes.


    "Why?" Aliyah asked, then raised her eyebrow.


    Atif empty his mouth before he talks because he eats the hamburger that he ordered a while ago.


    “I just want to know." Atif answered while smiling.


    Aliyah takes a deep breath before she talks again.


    "My name is Amaya." Aliyah said.


    “Nice name. Nice meeting you Amaya." Atif said.


    Then he continues eating his food while Aliyah does the same.


    Then after a few minutes Atif talks again.


    “Where do you live?" Atif asked.


    "Just a few meters away from here." Aliyah said.


    Atifughed and said;


    "The exact address please? “Atif said.


    Aliyah gets slightly annoyed with the behavior of Atif. She can''t believe that this is the Atif that she


    knew a long time ago.


    Aliyah thinks of a way so that Atif''s attention will focus on something and not to her.


    So instead of answering Atif''s questions Aliyah got her cellphone from her bag. She will send Atif a


    message so that he will stop bothering her and she can leave without being noticed by him.


    Aliyah typed a message then sent it to Atif.


    "HI. Where are you?" Aliyah''s message.


    When Atif feels that his phone vibrates in his pocket. He pulled it out and read the message.


    Then he reads that the message came from Aliyah.


    "I''m fine. How about you?" Atif replied.


    "Where are you?" Aliyah replied.


    "On fast food. Eating dinner together with ady who catches my attention but don''t be jealous


    because maybe she''s not interested in me" Atif replied, teasing Aliyah.


    Aliyah raised her eyebrows when she received the message of Atif.


    "And why should I?! We don''t have any rtionship or what." Aliyah replied.


    Because she is in front of Atif she sees that Atif is smiling when he reads his message.


    Because Aliyah is here in front of Atif she saw how Atif smiled when he received her message.


    So Aliyah is aware that Atif is teasing her.


    Atif replied to her message.


    “Okay. But you said before that you have feelings for me right that''s why I thought you will get jealous if


    I''m with another woman." Atif replied.


    Aliyah raised her eyebrow and sighed when she read the message of Atif.


    That action of Aliyah is noticed by Atif that is why he nced at Aliyah. Atif continues eating his food


    while waiting for the reply of Aliyah; unknowingly that thedy who is in front of him eating at the same


    table is Aliyah.

    Aliyah is about to finish eating her food.


    She decided to finish eating her food before typing her reply to Atif.


    Aliyah seeded in diverting Atif''s attention.


    Because when she starts sending messages to him it seems that he is not interested to talk to her


    anymore. He focused on his cellphone.


    Aliyah types her reply to Atif.


    “Like what you said before, maybe I''m just mistaken about my feelings for you. Yes it''s true that I''m just


    mistaken about that. The truth is what I feel for you is just love for a friend." Aliyah replied.


    When Aliyah sees that Atif is about to read her message she immediately stands up and yes Atif


    notices that she is about to leave but he just nces at her then focuses his attention on reading her


    message instead of talking to her.


    Aliyah felt relief when Atif didn''t follow her when she walked outside the fast food.


    After walking outside the fast food, Aliyah stopped for a while. She watched Atif from a distance.


    Aliyah sees that Atif''s face gets serious when he reads her message. She sees that disappointment


    cross Atif''s handsome face because of her reply. She sees that Atif looks far away and loses his


    appetite in eating his food.


    Aliyah felt sorry about that because she knew that she is the reason why Atif feels bad.


    Aliyah realizes that she is more important to Atif than any other woman. He can ignore other women


    when she starts messaging her.


    Because of that there are some questions that arise in Aliyah''s mind.


    First, why did he feel sad about her reply?


    Next, is Atif expecting that their rtionship can be more than just friends this time?


    Aliyah received a reply from Atif.


    "Only for a friend?" Atif asked.


    “Yes. What do you expect?" Aliyah replied.


    Aliyah asked that question to know why Atif''s reaction about her message is like that.


    Aliyah sees that Atif is typing his reply. And his face now looks sadder than a while ago. She sees Atif


    type his reply and stand up.


    Aliyah thought that maybe he would go home.


    When Aliyah receives the message of Atif her attention is diverted on reading the message.


    "Never mind. Forget it." Atif replied.


    When she looked again to the direction where Atif was walking she didn''t see him so she decided to go


    on to the next grocery store to buy some supplies.


    Then after 30 minutes Aliyah is finished buying some stuff she needed in her new ce.


    She walked outside the store. She is about to walk down the street to go to the bus stop again to go


    home when a ck Ferrari parked in front of her.


    Then the owner of the car stepped outside.


    Aliyah was shocked when she saw that the owner of the car was Atif.


    Atif immediately get the stuff that she buy from the grocery and before she can talk Atif manage to put it


    inside his car then he open the door of his car in front and said to her;


    "Madame! Let''s go. I''ll drive you home." Atif said.


    "What?!" Aliyah eximed.


    Aliyah can’t believe that Atif still follows her.


    She thought that Atif is not interested anymore in following her but to her surprise he is here again in


    front of her.


    “I said I''ll drive you home." Atif said.


    “Give me back those things. No need to drive me home. I can manage to go home alone. Will you


    please stop following me?" Aliyah said.


    “Come on. Let''s go. It''s getting cold here. Look, the snow is starting to fall." Atif insisted.


    But Aliyah is determined not to allow Atif to know where she is residing. For sure Atif will always go to


    her ce if he knows where she is staying.


    Aliyah is determined not to get inside his car.


    But Atif insists and it seems to some passersby that they are arguing and they look at them.


    To avoid creating a scene, Aliyah had left no choice but to ride in his car and let him drive her home.
