CHAPTER 38
8:00 am Thursday, in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Sarajevo International Airport
The ne that Aliyah boarded arrived in the Airport.
Finally Aliyah arrived in her own country.
She can''t believe she is here again right now;
After so many years being trapped in another ce, living with a different identity; she can hardly
believe that she will regain her memory and can go back to this country.
At first she is hesitant to step outside the ne.
Then after a few minutes she stepped outside and got hernguage and slowly walked until she
reached the waiting area for the passenger who arrived at the airport and waited for their rtives,
family or friends for them to be fetched.
Aliyah walked fast to pass this area for there is no one she will wait here.
She arrived here secretly like what she nned that she wille back here in her own country hiding
her real identity.
She doesn''t want to go back to her old life here living in her father''s cousin''s house, living with people
who will all be cruel to her.
Aliyah''s emotion was mixed. She feels d that she can see his father again and will know what
happened to him after so many years after that cruise ship sank.
In addition to that, she feels d because she will be able to see Atif.
But she felt bad because she remembered bad memories that she wanted to leave behind.
Aliyah takes a ride going to Zenica.
When she arrived at the city she looked for a ce to stay.
Fortunately she found a room for rent near the ce where she will be going to work the next few days.
The factory that Haris owns where Aliyah will be going to work by next week is located nearby the
ce that Aliyah chose to stay.
It''s alreadyte in the afternoon when Aliyah found a ce to stay.
After she settles the payment for rent to the room the owner of the apartment gave her the key for her
room.
Aliyah is too tired because she is wandering out in the city for the half of the day looking for a ce to
stay here in her own country.
It is around 2:00 pm in the afternoon when she reaches the unit where the room for rent is located.
She immediately opened it.
The room was small and just enough for one person to stay.
Thete afternoon sun was entering the window when Aliyah entered the room.
She closed the window.
Then decided to take a rest before she will buy some household and food supplies.
Because Aliyah is too tired she immediately falls into a deep sleep.
It''s already evening when she wakes up.
Aliyah was so hungry when she woke up.
Because there is no food in her room she decided to go out and buy some food.
It is cold outside when Aliyah steps out of the apartment.
Aliyah walks on the street looking for some grocery store or fast food so that she can buy food.
But there is no grocery or fast food nearby.
Then Aliyah see that there is a passenger bus approaching.
Aliyah decided to ride on the bus.
The bus stopped at the bus station in the city downtown; the downtown is just few meters away from
her apartment.
Aliyah went down immediately when the bus stopped.
The moment her feet touch the ground she gets a clear view of the ce where the bus stopped. She
recognizes that this was the old dwelling ce of Atif. In this ce Atif always waits for her in the past.
All the memories of their friendship are alling back to her now.
The wind blew hard. The wind was so called for it is winter season. This winter''s evening only reminds
her of Atif.
Aliyah remembers that in the past exactly like this day and time Atif always waits for her in this ce on
the fast food at the corner of the opposite street.
Aliyah walked fast on a busy street to reach the footbridge. She decided to cross on the other side of
the street to reach the old fast food at the corner of the street to dine in. She decided to go there on
that fast food because in her heart there is a silent wish. She hopes she will see Atif around here this
present time waiting for her just like before. Even though she knew that she is not ready to face Atif
again.
Aliyah hopes that Atif still remembers her even though she walked away from him in the past and left
him all alone in the care of Haris.
Aliyah feels so hungry. Her stomach is rumbling. She walks as fast as she can.
Then Aliyah go upstairs on the footbridge.
She is now walking on the top of the footbridge when a stranger bumps into her.
Aliyah lost her bnce and stumbled down on the floor of the footbridge. She can''t move for a few
seconds. Her knees are aching because it hit the floor of the footbridge when she stumbled. She can''t
stand up easily.
While the stranger who bumps at her lost grip on his cellphone. The cell phone dropped in front of
Aliyah. So the man sat in a squat position and picked his phone. Then he checked what happened to
Aliyah.
Aliyah heard the man talking.
"I''m sorry. Are you okay?" The man said.
Aliyah now is sitting on the floor and looking on her knees that got a small wound. The bloodes out
in her wound so she decided to tie it up with her handkerchief.
Aliyah got so angry with this man and she was ready to throw harsh words on him but when she looked
unto the man she was not able to say even a single word when she saw the appearance of a man. He

looks so familiar. Aliyah tried to remember where she saw this man.
He is a good looking young man. He''s tall. Maybe he is six feet and 4 inches. He has long dark hair
that he keeps in a man bun with some strands falling and curled prettily around his face. His eyes are
green as green lights shine in the dark evening.
He looks so gorgeous in his dark ck business suit.
The young man repeated his question to Aliyah when she didn''t answer and just stared at him. The
young man notices that Aliyah is trying to remember something when she stares at him.
"Are you okay Madame? The young man said.
But Aliyah doesn''t speak.
“Let me help you stand." The young man said when he didn''t receive any answer from Aliyah.
The young man offered his hand to help Aliyah stand up because she is still sitting on the floor of the
footbridge.
But Aliyah just ignored his help and stood up immediately when she was able topose herself. Then
she stepped back away from him.
The young man just shrugged his shoulders, put his hand in his pocket and smiled even though he got
little bit embarrassed because of Aliyah''s action.
Then he decided to apologize again and introduce himself to her.
"Am sorry Madame. I know it was my fault for I''m using my cellphone while walking but I didn''t mean
what happened. Anyway I''m Atif. A grandson of the chief executive of H & A Summit Holding, Inc., Mr.
Haris." The young man said.
Hearing those words Aliyah''s eyes widened and was not able to talk. She can''t believe that this is Atif
at present.
“Madame Will you ept my apology? I''m really sorry. "Atif speaks again.
Aliyah just nodded her head in response to what Atif said. Then she slowly walked to reach the other
end of the footbridge to go down on the other side of the street.
Atif follows Aliyah. When Aliyah noticed that Atif was still behind her and wanted to talk to her, Aliyah
walked as fast as she could and left Atif almost behind.
Yes, Aliyah wanted to see Atif again but she is not ready to face her him again. All she can do right now
is to run away like she always did if she cannot face the present situation.
But Atif seems determined to talk to her right now. Wanted to know her name. Unknowingly that she is
his old friend Haya before and Aliyah at present hiding in another identity which looks different from her
true identity that''s why Atif didn''t recognize her.
“Wait! Madame what is your name?" Atif asked as he followed her down the staircase of the footbridge.
But Aliyah went down the stairs so fast without saying a word and never looked back at Atif.
Atif was left on the top of the stairs of the footbridge. He decided to stop following her.
He shook his head while smiling.
"Why does she want to avoid me? Is she angry with me? Or is she scared? Do I look like a
scarecrow?" Atif mumbled and crossed his arms on his chest.
