Chapter 38 Enough is Enough


    "I cannot stay here in this country. I have to go. I have to do what I can do for my own life. I am not


    ready yet for a serious lifetimemitment. I am sorry."


    "What?so you have never been serious to me at all since then?"


    Gabrielle looking at Kendra''s eyes with a guilt. He truly likes Kendra but he could not stay for her.


    "I am really sorry Kendra. I am here to say goodbye. Though I got your virginity it does not mean I have


    to change ns for that."


    "So your love for me is not real then? What a dumb I am!"


    "No, no no...You are not dumb. I really like you but I cannotmit."


    "Yes, I am so dumb. Giving you my virginity. I thought you will be more happier and let you convince to

    Kendra pped Gabrielle''s face. She got hurt on what Gabrielle said to her.


    "So, it is just like that then?After of the first sex we had, you definitely pretended as if you really liked


    me still."


    "Do not say like that Kendra. I truly like you but I cannot do or give what you have asked for."


    "I thought I could change your mind by giving you my virginity. You dont even give yourself a chance to


    ask for a minute and reconsider something for showing a little care somehow for me."


    "What?What are you saying Kendra? I told you I wanted to start over again but I just cannot stay any


    longer here and be with you so I asked for your forgiveness of what happened before."


    Kendra started to be emotional and her tears fell down again.


    "Why can''t you stay here for me? What is in there? Why do you have toe here, if you will just


    leave?"


    Gabrielle got more closer and looking at Kendra''s eyes crying.


    "Listen to me Kendra. I am not really amitted guy. I did try to give myself a chance to have a


    rtionship with you. I had this moment questioning my feelings for you if it was only lust or love. I did


    my best to understand woman''s ws but I could not stand for it. Do you understand me?"


    Kendra thought that Gabrielle was truly a genuine as she expected but she felt that she was deceived


    by Gabrielle.


    "Get out, Gabrielle! Get all of these clothes and donte back again."


    "Kendra, why are you insisting only on what you understand? why cant you even get me at all?"


    "Don''t Kendra me again! I don''t want to hear or listen to all your exnations. You are making my head


    more confused. I don''t just like you, I love you for real but this is what I got from you. You don''t even


    consider my true feelings for you. You are so selfish. Get out!"


    "Kendra.."


    "I said get out and do note back anymore."


    Gabrielle could not speak at all. Kendra was right. Gabrielle''s feeling was not real as Kendra has for


    him.


    Gabrielle left the meeting room. Kendra got out of the meeting room after Gabrielle left. She stood up


    still as if nothing happened. She smiled the staffs that passed by on her. Kendra''s boss was looking for


    her.


    "There you are...What took you so long at the meeting room, Ms. Kendra?


    "Nothing, Boss. I just had a long conversation with my old friend. Anyways, He left the building already.


    Is there something you want me to do for you now?"


    "None, just wondering taking you more than an hour at the meeting room. Are you all right Ms.


    Kendra?"


    "Oh yes I am. I have finished the pay roll for the staffs."


    "Did you check everything around here?The staffs may need something. We needed more staffs. Have


    you recruited anyone yet?"


    "I have not recruited yet. I may do the recruiting tomorrow. I will be checking the area now. See you


    around boss."


    "I really like how you work. You know how to organize and manage things very well."


    "Thank you, Boss."


    Kendra busy checking around the area. She asked the staffs, maintenance, and even the drivers if they


    needed something or have some problems. Late afternoon was fast approaching. Everybody was


    preparing themselves to go home.


    "Are you not going home yet, Ms. Kendra? You can finish that tomorrow. I can help you with that, if you


    want to."


    "Its okay. Thanks for your concern.I am almost done, Kristine."

    Kendra left the office. She took more hours then finally she had finished her paper works at 7pm. She


    started cleaning her desk. She prepared herself to go home. She took her bag and turned off the lights.


    She went down the building. She saw a figure of tall guy in front of her. It was too dark. She saw only a


    shadow. She was scared to death.


    "Who are you? Let me go."


    "It is all right. It is just me Gabrielle."


    Kendra got to see Gabrielle''s face clearly and irritated.


    "What are you still doing here? I told you to go and donte back here again."


    "Kendra, please!!"


    "What do you truly want from me? You got it already. You deceived me. If I knew that sex only you


    wanted from me since then, I should not waste my time for you."


    "Yes, I admitted it. I wanted a sex only and did my best to get it from you but it all changed after days


    when I got to know you more."

    Kendra started to be hysterical. Kendra left Gabrielle without even care anymore. Kendra realized that


    she did not need anyone nor anything anymore as she felt like so hell using her heart for the wrong


    guy.


    She walked on the road crying. Her heart was totally broken. She talked to herself again while walking.


    She told herself and made a promise.


    "Enough is enough! Starting tomorrow, no more men, romance or any rtionship at all. I will be


    focusing only my career, goals and dreams."
