Kate put her hand on my hand n said ''Alex its ok ... the portrait of emily belongs their not mine and I
don''t mind at all because this is her home she made this house a home ...so I don''t want to change or
do anything ... all I want is you and my children thats all''
Kate smiled to reassure me thats fine with her that I still lives in past n I did not love her... is that even
true?
Kate is right that emily touches are their in this house but its kate who has made this home but I didn''t
say anything cause I don''t know where is my emotions are n I might say some things which im not
ready to say...
Kate said '' ok just put this thing aside n lets sleep we both are very tired''
II hold kate face n said '' I know I don''t deserve you but you''re very special to me kate ...
Kate emotional smiled shows n she said '' n you''re my everything Alex ''
With that we fall asleep.

I was preparing the lunch when I saw Alex was holding something in his hand ... I said '' hi .. you back
early... no work today ''
He replied '' yup today was Saturday.. so it was little to do so I thought I should take a half day n join
you for lunch ''
I smiled n said '' thats great I just made some spaghetti n for desert we have leftover cake so you r in
luck... by the way whats in your hand''
He nervously replied '' yeah ... its ... its for Aria ... I thought I should give her since she wanted the gift
from both of us''
I stopped doing everything n looked lovingly n a little emotionally to him ... he brought something for
Aria for the first time ... I replied '' Alex... I.. its great...she will be so happy ... she is in our room
watching cartoon movie .. ''
He said '' actually I was thinking you should give that to her''
I suddenly replied '' I can but you are going to room to change then its better you give her.. she will be
so happy ..plz''
I don''t know why I said please but at that time I want Alex n Aria have a little bit time to them... he
awkwardly say ok n went..
I pray to god that may be this initiative of Alex can bring them together ... I was lost in my thoughts
when emma came n said can she help .. I smiled n give her sd to mixed it.

I dont how long I stand outside the room... I have no idea why im so nervous ..e on she a three old
kid .... im gonna give her the gift n get going like nothing happen... yeah I can do that... I saw Aria eyes
were stuck to the LCD screen ... she was dress up in short n t shirt..her hair were all over the ce like
she just woke up from sleep...n she looks cute in that ...she was pping n singing something
whatever it was showing in tv... I went n sat with her in the bed... she looked at me then turn to tv but
she suddenly turn n looked at me n said softly'' daddy''
I was looking at her pink cheeks n smiled at her cuteness n shocked expression but then I remember
why im here I replied '' hi Aria''
She replied '' hello daddy.. you back early''
I said'' yes n I brought you this''
She excitedly looked at the bag n she put her hand inside the bag to pick it out.. when she looked at
the doll she yelped n said '' oh daddy its so beautiful ... I love it ... its so big n she has my hair''
I try to control myugh n said '' yup thats why I brought it... it a birthday present to you''
But Aria was busy opening the packaging in which doll was enclose ... I said i will open it for her... she
gives to me n then she stand in the bed n stand at my back while holding my shoulder for my support.. I
felt again a pull n protective feeling when Aria do this... I sighs n opened the doll n give it to her... she
picked the doll..n start looking at her with her big blue eyes...
Then she sit in myp n hugged me said '' Thank you ... thank you daddy... this is the best present
even... I love you ''
My hands wanted to hug her too but I stop... I gently removed her n put her in bed then I stand n said ''
yeah ...wee''
N with that I went to the washroom.

I don''t how long we have to reach Helen home for lunch but it already feel like hours... may be its me
who feel like that... cause im still notfortable with Helen intention n her mood swings... I just
hopped today went ok without any trouble.. I sighs loudly
Alex looked at me n said '' I know you don''t want to go n I wish we can stay at home... but I can''t say no
when she asked for lunch n small get together .... n secondly she said many times to bring you..''
Ahh the get together means my father n mom is also going to be there ..
I replied '' I know ... n I can understand ... its YOU know (I looked at girls who were busy watching
cartoons in ipad) how things went with us ...so im little cautious... may be im over reacting''
Alex nodded n said '' I get that babe but rx its going to be all fine today... n looked we are here''
I opened the back of the car to pick up the chocte strawberry pie n potatoes sd that I made for
Helen lunch.. I saw Alex was getting girls out of the car... since Alex give the doll to Aria she was very
happy n always hold that doll with her.. even when she fall asleep ... I smiled at her when I saw the
head of brown blonde head of doll that Aria was holding... she really likes that doll..
When we enter Helen garden it was already crowded with some guests... some guests I know like my
parents n Alex parents .. n some I have no idea,who they are... when helen saw us she gives us a
smile n say '' oh look they havee thank you so much foring n especially kate im so happy you
came here''
I replied '' its pleasure to be here... n I brought this for you I hope you like it''
She said '' oh kate you don''t have to do that but thank you so much .... just like Emily she used to bring
all this stuff when she visit us ...me n Alex used to tease her for her sweet tooth... oh I don''t mean in
that scene im sorry if you mind''
I don''t know what it was a genuine slip of tongue or a bait but
I kindly replied '' not at all... we both sister got that kind of sweet tooth thing''
Alex broke the awkward moment'' so cuzn what have you made us today ...cause im really hungry''
Sheughed '' you n you''re big appetite..e we,were waiting for you the lunch is ready''
Alex saw some of his old buddies n went their to chat... n I was meeting with my parents '' hello daddy n
mommy ''
They replied hello ... I asked mommy '' mommy hows your health ...?
She replied '' im fine ''
Emma n Aria came to meet their grandparents ... my father picked emma n kissed her forehead n '' my
favorite girl ... I miss you so much''
Mother said '' give her to me ... I want to see my Emily child''
It kinda hurt that she still say this to make me feel like that so that it shows that im not emma real
mother... when emma was with mom... Aria came n said '' hello grandpa...''
She looked at my father hesitantly ... my father awkwardly says '' hello Aria'' n turned ... my little girl
eyes be sad ... n I became sad for her....I saw Alex expression across ... he also saw that how my
parents treated Aria... he expression looks angry then sad n then he guarded those expression....
After lunch everyone was talking ... I was with Alex mom .... n like me she wanted to know that any

happy that I found her eyes to be misty with tears...then we heard a scream.... a child scream...
everyone stopped their chats n stand to look what happen... we went to children y area where we
left them with a Helens children nanny .... but I saw I stopped dead at my track.... it was emma on the
floor ...with blood oh god ....what happened... I screamed '' emma oh god emma ... my baby what
happened ...''
Emma was unconscious... n not moving
Alex came running n picked emma n roughly said '' Emma .. baby wake up... fuck... some body fucking
call the doctor...''
I was crying heavily'' Alex please do something ... she is bleeding ... Alex please awake her...''
Alex replied '' kate ... I don''t know what to do... lets take her to the doctor ...I don''t how long the doctor
wille''
Helen '' it will take a lot of time for you Alex.I have already called the doctor he is own his way...lets take
her inside..n clean her up... n you Nancy(the nanny) n kidse inside we want to know how it
happens''
After 10 minutes the doctor came n checked Emma n bandage her forehead n said '' she is fine... it was
a, shock that made her faint ... but she is fine now''
I said '' please check her again....why she is not wake yet... n is everything ok with her head''
Alex also said '' yeah she is not wake... she should be''
Doctor said '' rx Mr n Mrs Robbins... I give her pain meds thats why she is sleeping ...n hopefully she
will be up by few hours...so rx''
When the doctor gone ... we kissed Emma cheeks n wait outside .... Helen came n asked about Emma
we told her everything.. Then she said '' Alex I asked the nanny n the kids what happened .... its better
you listen from them''
Alex n me passed a confused look n Alex '' ok where they are....
