La woke up with a banging headache. She could hardly get enough sleep. She was having a morning ss but she had skipped it together with Mirah. Mirah had insisted on staying at home with her.


    ” You’re going to work? ” Mirah asked a bit suprised when she saw La dressed up for work. ” Yeah, I have to see him and apologize, else I might die of guilt ‘ She muttered and Mirah sighed.


    ” That’s exactly why you are having a headache right? ”


    ” Yeah I guess, but I guess I will be fine once I’m free of this guilt ” She muttered and Mirah let out a sigh. ” Should I go with you? ” She asked but La shook her head.


    ” No, I will be fine ” She muttered and with that walked out of their apartment while Mirah watched till she was out of sight and then sighed.


    ** Kent’s Enterprise **


    La walked in and even from a distance one would notice she wasn’t looking really well. ” Are you okay? ” Tina asked as she walked over to La who was heading to Shane’s office. ” Yeah I’m fine. Is sire in? ” She asked gesturing to Shane’s door.


    ” Yeah he’s in but he ordered some people to return your desk back to our office so we’re back again ” Tina said with a smile. La nodded and then bit her lips. That’s only a proof that he’s mad at her and want to avoid every means of seeing her.


    ” Okay then. I would be at the office bit first I need to go see him ” She said and Tina nodded. ” Okay then ” She said with a smile and walked away while La bit her lips as she approached Shane’s office.


    She got to his office and decided against knocking. What if he declines her request of entering his office?


    She pushed the door him gently and the duo turned to the direction of the opened door. Seems they were in the middle of a conversation. ” Afternoon ” She greeted Shane and Alec still standing by the door and holding the door knob.


    ” Afternoon La ” Alec replied with a smile while Shane only looked away.


    La bit her lips seeing Shane ignored her greetings. ” Um.. I was actually here to see Shane. I guess I wille backter ” She said with a nervous look and Alec nodded while Shane never looked at her direction.


    She felt her heart ache slowly and she sighed. Seeing him ignore her alone was hurting her. ” I would leave then ” She announced and then gave a little bow began walking out of the office.


    She closed the door behind her as she got out of the office. She bit her lips hurtfully and tried her best to sniff in tears that was threatening to fall. ” Why would I want to cry? ” She thought and then dried her face properly with her hands kerchief.


    She walked away to her office.

    ” Really? You’re gon’ keep ignoring her? ” Alec asked unbelievably with a scoff. ” I don’t want to talk about it ” He muttered. He was still hurt by her words and they wouldn’t stop ringing in his ears making him feel useless.


    Was all his efforts futile? His efforts to get her fall for him? She said he was making her ufortable with all his advances.


    That’s the worst response one would get from a crush. It hurts so much. ” Come on, I think she badly wants to apologize. She probably didn’t mean those words ” Alec tried to say.


    ” Stop trying to cover up for her. It’s only going to hurt me the more. She said she felt ufortable by my advances. Should I give up then? ” He asked turning to Alec for a positive answer.


    Alec scoffed with a shrug. ” Come on, you can’t do that ” Alec said and She looked away disappointedly.


    ” Why should I keep trying when she’s never going to ept me? I really think I’m only gonna keep getting hurt the more I try. She said it to my face… ” He turned to Alec.


    ” Those words can’t seem to stop reying on my head. I should give her enough space like she begged for ” He muttered and Alec sighed and then with a groan.


    ” No,e on you can’t do that. You’re just an inch closer to getting her, don’t give up now. Please ” Alec begged seriously.


    ” I don’t wanna see her ufortable. I should care about her feelings right? She doesn’t want me, I should learn to ept that now before it’s toote ” He muttered and Alec sighed thinking of ways to convince him.


    ” Alright Shane. How about we do this? give her a chance to say whatever she has to day before deciding. Tell her strictly you’re only going to do her wish. If she pushes you away, you would leave. If she doesn’t, you would stay. How about this? ” Alec suggested hopefully.


    ” I don’t know, she’s only going to reject me. Rejection hurts ” He muttered and Alec wheeled his seat to him.


    ” Trust me on this ” Alec gave him a go-ahead and he nodded. ” Okay then, I’ll hear what she has to say ” He muttered.


    ” Promise? ” Alec asked with an arched brow. ” Yeah. I promise ” Shane muttered and Alec smiled brightly.


    ” Thanks ” He muttered.


    ** Evening **


    It was time for La to leave again and she prayed hopefully as she stood by Shane’s door that he’s around and is really to listen to her. She hoped silently.


    She pushed the door open instead and fortunately met Shane seated on his seat. She walked slowly to him, taking few strides. Shane ignored her and continued with his work. He was working on hisptop.


    ” Shane… ” She called slowly but he never looked up. She inhaled softly and walking over to his front, she grabbed theptop from his front and closing it, she ced it else where.


    Shane looked up at her this time around. ” Please.. just some few minutes of your time ” She pleaded and Shane let out a sigh. He sat down properly on his seat. ” What? ” He gave La a go ahead.


    ” About yesterday.. ”


    ” If you want me to adhere strictly to that, I had ns in doing so already. You don’t have to worry about me making you feel ufortable anymore. I would stay as far away as I can from you. I would kill my feelings for you, you don’t have to worry ” Shane cut her off, rushing his words.


    ” You don’t make me feel ufortable. You didn’t make me feel ufortable with the stares yesterday ” She blurted out and Shane raised his brows.


    ” I only wanted to concentrate with my works ’cause I… ” She trailed off but Shane’s expression urged her to continue.


    ” ’cause I liked it ” She blurted out the truth and her face flushed in embarrassment.


    ” And I just thought I really wouldn’t be able to do my works ’cause you were staring too much and I couldn’t do any other thing than blush so hard secretly ” She continued and then paused to study Shane’s expression but she couldn’t understand his expression but she’s sure he sure was shocked and at the same time excited that she feels the same way he felt.


    ” I really didn’t mean to say those words. I only wanted you to stop, I didn’t know it was going to hurt you that much. I wouldn’t have said those words. I’m really sorry ”


    ” When you didn’t pick my calls yesterday, that only increased my guilt and I felt hurt. When you ignored me today, I couldn’t help my heart that ached continuously. I really felt bad and guilty at the same time. I’m really sorry, I would really never say anything to hurt you. I hate seeing you have a sad expression on ” She confessed.


    ” I’m sorry ” She ended her words with that and raised her head to see Shane with the same expression on. She thought he wasn’t moved with her words and probably considered it as lies but in reality, he was just too stunned to pick.


    He didn’t know what to say. So, does that mean she felt the same way he feels? No word could describe the feeling he was feeling at that moment. Butterflies roaming inside his tummy. Thedy he’s in love with is also in love with him and had only be trying to hide it all this time.


    ” Um, I know you probably don’t believe me, but if you can’t believe me, please forgive me. I’m really sorry, I wat to be free of guilt and maybe that could stop my heart from aching ” She pleaded but got no response again.


    She sighed, seemed her pleads were futile. ” I will leave then ” She muttered and turned to leave. She took few strides towards the door when Shane got his senses back.


    He rushed to her and grabbed her swiftly, turning her to him and he pinned her in his arms. ” I love you ” He whispered and she felt goosebumps at that moment.


    ” I’m sorry for ignoring you ” He muttered, tucking some loose strands of hair behind her ears. Before she could process his next action, he smashed his lips on hers.
