Chapter 34


    I got out of the truck and shut the passenger seat as everyone got out.


    I opened Rain''s door and she was peacefully asleep.


    I reached over and unbuckled her then sliding my hands under her picking her up.


    "Come on, Rain baby" I said and sheid her head on my shoulder as I carried her bridal style up to the


    warehouse.


    It was 2 a.m. and we''re just getting back to the warehouse, and Rain passed out on the way to the


    warehouse.


    I carried her all the way up to the main room and everyone was taking off their coats and shoes. Iid


    her down on the couch and started to walk away when she grabbed my hand.


    I turned around to her and knelt down, and she opened her eyes slowly, and I said softly "Go back to


    sleep, princess".


    She pursed her lips and I kissed her forehead and stood up am then grabbing a nket and pulling it


    over her so she could go back to sleep.


    I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a water-bottle from the fridge.


    "I haven''t seen Leah this hammered in forever" Reece said, and I clenched my jaw "Yeah..I know...."


    Craig walked in and grabbed a beer from the fridge, then cracking it open and downing it.


    "Dude" Reece said sounding annoyed, and Craig snapped "What"?


    "Never-mind..." Reece sighed and I shook my head at Craig and scoffed.


    I went back out to the "living room" and everyone was getting ready to go to their "rooms".


    Rain was still peacefully asleep with her eyes closed gently and lips pursed. I knelt down to her and


    caressed her cheeks, and her eyes slowly fluttered open.


    "Wanna sleep in my room"? I asked her softly, and she nodded but was still half asleep.


    I picked her up and carried down the hall, to my room. I pushed the door open and set her down on the


    bed.


    Bed was sitting up straight and looked tired as ever, and her eyes were droopy.


    I untied her gray converses and slid them off her feet, and she yawned.


    I smiled to myself at how cute she was when she was tired.


    I went to unbutton her jeans but she grabbed my hands and I looked up at her and her eyes were filled


    with sadness and worry.


    "Rain...it''s just me. I''m not going to do anything" I assured softly and tucked a piece of hair behind her


    ear.


    She bit her lip and looked down, and still had a grip on my hands. I pressed my lips softly to hers, and


    pushed her back onto the bed.


    She closed her eyes softly and ced her hands t on my chest.

    Rain Thompson


    ~ 1 weekter ~


    "I''m borderline happy, and borderline sad" I sang under my breath as I pulled up to the warehouse and


    saw all the guys outside; working on their cars.


    I parked and got out of my truck and mming the door shut, I walked up to where Neil and Vince


    were.


    "What up, Thompson" Vince smiled and fist bumped me, and Iughed "Nothing". Neil pulled me into a


    hug "We missed you this pass week".


    I pulled away and nodded "Yeah, I missed you guys too; but brother''s orders" I rolled my eyes at the


    thought. I haven''t seen anyone in the gang for the past week, because my brothers ordered that I


    would stay at Landon, Becker, and Beverly''s because my dad was out for the past week searching.


    I felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck and pull me back, making me stumble a bit. I smiled and


    turned around to face Ryker. He pulled me into a tight hug "I missed you".


    "I missed you too" I said and he gave me a quick kiss. "Rain"! Liz yelled then running up and tackling


    me into a hug, and pushed me over on to the dirty ground with stones all over it.


    "Ow, Liz" I said and she bit her lip "Sorry" as she stood up and put a hand out to me, which I took and


    she helped me up.


    "You left me..here...to suffer...with...6 guys..." She used. "You had Leah" I pointed out, and Liz


    shifted ufortably "Right".


    Ryker cocked an eyebrow at her and she shook her head "Nothing". I gave her a confused look, and


    she said "Well I''ll be inside" then jogging back inside.


    Craig came up and Ryker slung an arm over my shoulders "Hey Rain. How was lock-down"? I sent


    Craig a re "Horrible".


    "Well we have a trade route with all the gangs tonight, and I''m warning you; if you say anything to piss


    them off you''re dead..literally".


    I rolled my eyes "Yeah, yeah". "Well I have to talk to Rain about something.." Ryker trailed off, then


    grabbing my arm and pulling me to the side of the warehouse where no-one was.


    He pushed me back up against the wall and smashed his lips into mine, and I smiled against his lips,


    as I slid my arms around his neck. His tongue slid across my teeth asking for entry, and I granted it to


    him. He pulled out on my bottom lip, and I pulled away when my phone went off.


    I sighed and pulled out my phone to see Jax''s number shing on my screen.


    "Hello"? I answered.


    "Hey, where are you going to be home tonight"? He asked.


    "No, I have a thing with the guys, Leah and Liz" I answered.


    "Ok, just let me know you''re home safe thenter" He said.


    "Will do. Bye Joel, love you" I responded.


    "Bye, Love you sis" Then he hung up. I looked at Ryker and he cocked an eyebrow "Oh..Just Joel


    being the overprotective brother he is.."


    "Rain"! A voice squealed, and I looked to see Mnie run up to me and I picked her up and hugged her


    tightly as I spun her in a circle "Ahah, Hey kiddo".


    "How''s school"? I asked her and she grinned "Good! I got a part in a y! I''m a fairy!"


    I smiled and gave her a high five "That''s awesome Mel", and she giggled in response. I handed her


    over to Ryker, and he held her.


    "I''m going to go see Leah, I''ll be out in a bit" I said and pecked his lips, then jogging around the


    warehouse and inside then running up the stairs. I pushed the door open and saw Leah standing as


    she was typing on her phone.


    "Hey-a"! I greeted and her head snapped up to me and she smiled then pulling me into a tight hug


    "Hey, I missed you. And I couldn''t stand hearing Ryker talk about you for one or more minute".


    I chuckled, and pulled away. "So...how was your little break from the gang"? Sheughed, but I saw


    there was sadness in her eyes and something was bugging her.


    "Leah, what''s wrong"? I asked as I titled my head to the side and gave her a confused look.


    "What? Nothing''s wrong.." She trailed off but her voice cracked, and Liz came out with a ss of water


    and handed it Leah.


    "Yes, there is something wrong" I said, and she sighed as she shook her head "Rain..It doesn''t concern


    you, you shouldn''t have to be involved in it, you''re only 18..."


    I swallowed hard and blinked slowly a few times "I''m 18..not 8..I''m a legal adult, you know you can tell


    me". Leah and Liz looked at each other, as Leah''s eyes got pricked with tears.


    "Rain..." Liz sighed "Will talk about thister, there''s leftovers fromst night dinners you can go have


    some". I mumbled "You sound like my mother did" then walking into the kitchen.


    I opened the fridge and grabbed the box of pizza and took a slice out and the door swung up to the


    guysing in.


    "So how was your vacation"? Neil teased and I rolled my eyes "It was not a vacation. I had to deal 3


    brothers and 3 cousins that are all overprotective..they went through all my messages" then turning to


    Ryker and using "Which you did not help me case".


    Ryker''s lips tugged up into a cocky smirk as Mnie tugged at his hand and he turned his attention


    towards her. "Hey, you chose to date him..when you say yes, you sign up for the pervertedments"


    Vince said as he narrowed his eyes at me.


    "So how many detentions did you get"? Peterughed, and my phone started to vibrate on the kitchen


    counter, and I nced at it then seeing who was calling.


    I bit my lip and tried to ignore it as I just stared at the guys and tired to swipe it to decline without being


    obvious.


    "Aren''t you going to answer that"? Will asked and all the guys raised an eyebrow. I bit my lip "Uh...oh


    yeah, right" then picking up my phone and answering the call.


    "H-Hi" I stuttered.


    "Oh wow, you actually answered" ke''s cocky voice rang through the phone.


    I swallowed hard and shifted in my spot "W-what do you w-want, I''m b-busy" I stuttered throughout the


    whole sentence.


    "Stutter, much"? ke said and Ryker gave me a suspicious look then grabbing my phone from my


    hand and his eyes widened and jaw clenched as his hands clutched into a fist.


    "RAIN"! He yelled, and I flinched at his yelling "I mean you did tell me to answer the phone..."


    He then stormed out with my phone and of the warehouse, and back outside.


    I ran after him and yelled "Ryker! Ryker! Ryker"!


    I heard him grit into the phone "Listen here you motherfucker! Leave Rain alone or I''ll-"


    I quickly grabbed my phone back from Ryker''s hand and hung up the call.


    "Ryker! What the hell?! You don''t have the right to just take my phone! That''s privacy"!


    "Oh don''t y that card! Why was he calling you"?! He yelled.


    I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes at him "I''m just going to wait till you calm down".

    "Guys, you know I hate shopping" I groaned as Liz and Leah dragged me into the mall.


    "Oh Hush up, you need to get out for awhile" Liz stated "You don''t have that much of a social life


    anymore".


    "Do to"! I scoffed and they rolled their eyes as they continued to drag my through the mall.


    "Now I have to get a new dress for a wedding for my cousin" Leah stated "Oh, Rain; didn''t Ryker invite


    you to that"?


    I raised an eyebrow and shook my head "No.."


    "Ugh! Darn that boy.." Leah grumbled.


    "Darn"? I questioned and did a double take.


    Leah bit her lip and nodded "Uh yeah..I''m trying to cut back on cursing..".


    "So that dress" Liz cut in.

    Ryker: I gtg, Mnie keeps bugging me, I''ll see you when you get back.

    "How does this one look"? Leah''s voice asked as she walked out of the dressing room with a blue sher


    dress.


    I furrowed my eyebrows "Leah..that''s three times your size".


    "Uh..yeah..I''m gonna get tacked" She bit her lip.


    "Why? They have that dress in your size...it''s right over there" I said as I started to stand up but she


    shook her head "No, no, it''s fine".


    "Okay then.."I mumbled under my breath as I knew something was up.


    We were walking out to the parking lot when Leah stopped me "Rain".


    I stopped and turned around to face her.


    "Leah..I just want to get make to the warehouse" I groaned.


    "I-I...I um.." She trailed off.


    I raised an eyebrow "Yes Leah"?


    She looked down at the ground and Liz put a hand on her shoulder for moral support.

    My eyes widened and jaw dropped "WHAT"?!

    "PREGNANT"?! I eximed and was in a state of shock.
