"Landon"! I yelled and jumped on his back "Give me my phone"!
"What? Are you sexting your boyfriend"? He teased, and I rolled my eyes "No! Now give it back! Now!"
Today was Friday, and I had school.
I was texting Alex, because she was supposedlying to see me. I got off Landon''s back and he
turned around and rolled his eyes "Fine. Here" and handed me my phone.
I huffed and kicked him in the shin then walking away as he groaned in pain. I stuck my tongue out at
him childishly and walked upstairs to "my room".
I hummed to the beat of the music ying on my speakers, as I did my homework. I was stuck at
Becker, Beverly, and Landon''s today; and was on "restriction" because I came home past "curfew"st
night.
"Say it ain''t so, your drug is a heart-breaker, Say it ain''t so, my love is a life taker" I sang in a soft voice
as I wrote down the line of my paper, and thought about what to write next.
My phone buzzed and I picked it up, and saw it was a text message.
Liz: Heya Chica! Youing out tonight??
Oh right...they''re all going out to some bar, and drinking tonight, then heading back to the warehouse.
Me: Nah, can''t. I broke "curfew", so I''m grounded from my own cousins....
Liz: :( ....But Ryker won''t have anyone to dance with....
I rolled my eyes at the text, and responded back.
Me: I think he''ll be fine, Liz -_-
Liz: Whatever you say.....I mean, but with all those girls there...and their minimal clothing....
Me: ELIZABETH!! Stop!!
Liz: Fine -_- I got to go, Neil is being annoying...
Me: Bye
Liz: BYE!!!!
I put my phone down and went back to my essay, and already started to get bored again, just from
trying to think about the essay.
There was a knock at my door, and I turned around to see Ryker, and he leaned up against my
doorway and shoved his hands in his pockets.
I blinked slowly a few times and stood up from my bed "Oh...hey" and walked up to him "I didn''t know
you wereing.."
"Yeah..well" He trailed off and walked in "I was in town, and I called Beverly, and she said you were
grounded".
I rolled my eyes at what Beverly said, and Ryker pecked my lips and his lips tugged up into a half
smile/smirk "Hey princess".
I cocked an eyebrow at him "You seem....off.....what are you nning, Anderson"?
Heced his fingers through mine "Nothing.." He said pretending to be innocent "Can''t a guy, juste
to see his girlfriend without being questioned"?
He narrowed his bright blue eyes at me and I shook my head "No", causing him to roll his eyes in
response.
There was a few moments of silence that went by, and I stared at the cor of his t-shirt.
"Sneak out tonight"?
"And there it is" I said, looking up at Ryker and tearing away from him.
"Ohe on, Rain! You''re 18, you shouldn''t have people breathing down your neck and telling you
what you can and can''t do in the first ce"! He eximed.
I shook my head "No. I''m not sneaking out". I then heard the front door open and shut and my brother''s
voices.
My eyes widened, and Ryker''s lips tugged into a smirk which stered across his face.
"Ryker Xavier Anderson! Don''t you dare even try"! I warned and he smirked and gave an amused look
"How about we ask your brothers.." then walking out, and down the steps.
"Ryker! Ryker! Don''t you dare"! I yelled and chased after him. He went to the kitchen and I ran down
the steps and tripped at thest one and fell.

"Ow" I groaned and rubbed my head, then getting up and running to the kitchen.
I saw Jax, Ryan, Joel, Landon, Becker, and Beverly all standing around the kitchen and talking, and
Ryker''s smirk grew.
Their heads all whipped up to us, and Ryker pulled me in front of him and wrapped his arms around my
waist "Can Rain go out with the gang and I"?
"No-" I started but Ryker put a hand over my mouth and my words muffled under his hand.
My brothers all looked at each other with unease, and Joel scratched the back of his neck "I don''t know
if thats such a good idea..."
Ryker rolled his eyes "She''ll be with me, and she''ll be fine".
"That doesn''t help" Jax red at Ryker "I don''t want the thought of my baby sister bing in-
pregnanted"
"I''m not going to sleep with her" Ryker said and rolled his eyes in annoyance, and I stomped on his foot
and he sent me a re.
"Guys just let her go...." Bev said "She''s legally an adult, she won''t be protected by you guys forever".
They all looked at each other as if they weremunicating through their eyes.

"Not funny" I said and Ryker smirked "You''re right...its hrious", and I scoffed at him in response. He
ced his hands on my hips as I was over-top of him with my knees on either side of him. He pecked
my lips, and I smiled.
"So have you talked to the asshole, who deserves to burn in hell"? Ryker asked as he tried to not get
angry just at the thought.
"Hey, he may be an asshole but he''s still my father" I said as I narrowed my eyes at him, and he
snaked his arms around my waist.
"Father my ass..." He scoffed, and I stopped for a second "Ryk..."
"Hmm"? He asked and I asked "Why have I never met your parents or ever heard you talking about
them..."?
He sighed in frustration "I knew that question wasing..."
"Well, I''ve never met your parents..you''ve never even mentioned them...".
"Rain...my parents aren''t in the picture, they walked out a couple years ago and couldn''t afford kids..."
He exined.
I blinked slowly "Oh...Ryker, I''m so sorry-I didn''t know-"
He cut me off and shook his head "It''s fine Rain" as he tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear
"They died awhile back in a car ident".
My eyes widened "Ryk, that''s horrible!" His lips tugged up into a small smile "Princess, don''t worry. It''s
fine..."
The door opened and Joel walked in, I quickly got off Ryker and Joel''s eyes went dark "Rain..."
"What"? I asked innocently, and he shook his head "Never-mind, just wanted to say I''m leaving". I
stood up from my bed and walked over to him. He pulled me into a hug and whispered "You get
pregnant, and I''ll kill you".
I kicked him in the shin, and pulled away "Bye Joel". "Bye" He kissed my forehead and turned to Ryker
"You-keep your hands to yourself".
Ryker smirked "Will see" then wrapped his arms around my waist, and resting his chin on my shoulder.
Joel walked out and mmed the door, making me jump in response.

I walked into the line of the club, and the security guard asked "I.D."? I handed it to him and he
examined it, then nodding and handing it back to me.
I walked into the bar that full of people; grinding, making out, dancing, and drinking. There were lights
shing everywhere and music sted through the speakers. I made my way through the crowd of
people and searched for someone I knew.
I saw Liz, Ryker, Peter, and Neil up at the bar talking. I walked up and Liz turned and smiled "Oh Hey"!
"Hey" I said and offered a small smile, Ryker pecked my lips and leaned down and whispered in my ear
"Thanks foring, I know you hate bars".
I looked up at him and he gave me a quick kiss on my lips and put a hand to my lower back and rubbed
circles.
I bit my lip, at how much alcohol I was surrounded by, and I just kept thinking of how my dad drinks and
it always ends up bad.
"Come on" Liz nodded her head towards the dance floor "Let''s go dance" then grabbing my wrist and
pulling me out to the center in the middle of everyone.
Liz started dancing and I just stood there unamused, and she rolled her eyes "Ohe on! Loosen up,
have some fun"!
I rolled my eyes and sighed, and she grabbed my hands and moved my arms to make me dance, and
try to get me to move.

It''s been an hour or two, and I finally gave into dancing.
"TALK TO ME BABY!" The whole crowd screamed the lyrics to songs, and Liz and I jumped up and
down and did the fist pump dance thing..
"HOPING WE CAN CAKE BY THE OCEAN"! The crowd continued to scream, and Liz twirled me and I
Ryker and Peter walked out to us, and I smirked at Liz as her cheeks flushed red. Peter stood across
from Liz, and I body-checked Liz into Peter; because I''m a good friend.
She stumbled onto his chest, and Peter asked nervously as he scratched the back of his neck "Wanna
dance"?
Liz nodded slightly as her face was bright red, and Peter pulled her away off into the crowd. I turned
around to face Ryker, and he gave me amused look "Meddling in people''s love lives now"?
I rolled my eyes "I prefer ''Helping'' over meddling" I chuckled, and his lips tugged up to a small smile,
and my heart raced at just his smile.
I looked over to the bar and Craig waved us over, and Ryker started to walk over. I grabbed his hand
and he stopped then turning back to me.
"Ryk.." I said quietly and ced my hands t on his chest as I looked down at the ground and pursed
my lips "Please don''t drink a lot".
He pressed his lips in a thin line, and tilted my chin up with his index finger "Babe....Okay, I won''t. You
know I wouldn''t ever do anything like your dad does to you".
I nodded slightly "I know...I just-". He cut me off "You don''t have to say anything, I won''t get drunk; I
promise".
"Thank you Ryker" I pursed my lips, and he said "No problem, now give me a kiss". I smiled and he
pulled me into a kiss, and his hands snaked around my waist and I smiled against his lips.
I pulled away and let out a smallugh, and Ryker pulled me over to Craig. Craig handed Ryker a drink,
but Ryker declined it and shook his head "Nah, I''m cutting back".
"Since when has Ryker Xavier Anderson ever declined or cut back on a drink"? Vince and Neil said
shocked.
Ryker rolled his eyes and flipped them off. Leah came up to me and smiled "Hey, I haven''t seen you all
night" and pulled me into a quick hug.
"Hey" I greeted over the sting music, and she asked "How''s your cousins"? I shrugged in response
"It''s okay...I''d rather have my own room back, but oh well".
Ryker then slung an arm over my shoulder and looked at Leah "Le..chill on the drinks". She was mid-
way drunk, and only needed a few more drinks. She didn''t look drunk, but her attitude was very bubbly
and giggly.
She made a face at him, and took a sip of her beer. Ryker took the ck snap-back that was ced
backwards on my head and ced it backwards on my head.
I was sitting at the bar, as I was talking to Liz and a drunk Leah. A song came on, and it was a slow
song.
"This song goes out to all you love birds here tonight" The DJ said, and couples went to the dance-
floor, and were so close they were on-top of each other.
"Go" Liz said trying to get me to go over to Ryker, and I shook my head "There''s no way in hell I''m
going over there"!
"Ryker"! Liz yelled, and Ryker came out of the conversation he was in with Will and came over, and I
buried my face in my hands in embarrassment.
"Take your girlfriend out there" Liz said, and Ryker narrowed his eyes at her "You know I don''t slow
dance".
"Yeah, well tonight you do. Now go" She said and pushed me into Ryker, and he caught me by the
waist "You okay"? He asked and I nodded "Yeah, I''m fine" and sent Liz a re.
"Go!" Liz eximed and Ryker rolled his eyes then taking my hand and pulling me out and wrapping
his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck, and we were chest to chest as
there was no distance between us at all.
Iid my head on his shoulder and we just swayed back and fourth. "You know I''m going to kill Liz for
thister" Ryker said.
"I''ll help" I spoke, and he snuck his hands under the bottom of my shirt and ced his cold hands on
my bare skin.
I shivered and he smirked "My hands cold"?
I nodded "Yeah, but my mom always use to say something". "And what is that"? Ryker asked as he
pressed his forehead to mine.
"Cold Hands, Warm Heart".
He smiled and pressed his lips softly to mine.
