Chapter 47- herees the bride


    JULIANA''S POV


    I woke upfortably in Tyberias'' arms. I smiled remembering my amazing night yesterday but reality


    soon kicked in. Today was the day.


    The day Tyberias married M.


    I slowly got up and had a long, peaceful shower, preparing myself for the hectic day ahead of me.


    When I got out, I saw that Tyberias was nowhere to be seen and there was a small not left in his space


    I had some stuff to take care of. I''ll meet you at the wedding. I love you, baby xx


    A small smile, overtook my face as I read his scruffy handwriting.


    I took this opportunity to pull out a suitcase and begin to pack my clothes. I meant it when I said I was


    going to leave.


    I quickly headed to Este''s room and packed her things, remembering to pack her pink stuffed teddy


    that was one of Tyberias'' many presents to her. She can''t go a night without it.

    "Tyberias" I asked when I couldn''t find him anywhere.


    I had gotten dressed and drove over to the wedding venue. The ceremony was going to begin in about


    15 minutes when I had received a message from Tyberias telling me to meet him at the back.


    I wandered around a bit trying to look for him when I heard voices.


    I moved towards them to see Tyberias and M talking.


    "I don''t know if I can do this, Tyberias" M said.


    "We have too. It might not even end as badly as you think."


    "Okay" she sighed.


    My mouth dropped wide open when I saw M lean in to hug Tyberias. I expected him to push her


    away but he froze before reassuringly rubbing her back.

    I cleared my throat and walked up to them. They both looked at me in shock before scrambling away.


    "Am I interrupting something?"


    "Of course not. It''s nice to see you again Juliana." M smiled acting as if she didn''t just have her paws


    on my man.


    "If you don''t mind. Can I talk to Tyberias for a second?" I asked, my patience wearing thin.


    "Of course." She said and left.


    When I made sure that she was no longer in ear shot I turned to Tyberias and saw him gulp.


    "What the hell Tyberias? Is this why you called me here? So you could show me how easy it would be


    to move on from me?"


    "It''s not what it looks like" he defended himself pathetically.


    "What was it then? Because it looked like you were getting cosy with M. But I shouldn''t be angry, you


    are getting married to the girl, after all." I sighed


    "Don''t be angry at me, I can exin"


    "I''m not mad at you. I''m happy for you. M seems like a nice girl. Maybe in the future she''ll learn to


    love you like I do." I smiled sadly.


    "Tyberias. It''s time." Said his father as he walked towards us


    "Juliana? I didn''t know you were here." He said when he saw me.


    "Hey Mr Romano, I- uh I''ll be going now. Bye Tyberias, I love you. Just remember that." I whispered


    and stood in my tiptoes to lightly peck his cheek. I then walked away.


    "Just stay until after the wedding so I can exin" Tyberias pleaded but I continued walking away and


    winced when I heard a loud thud, assuming it was Tyberias smashing one of the flower pockets.


    I walked back into the hall where I found Leona slouched down at the back and I went over to sit next


    to her.


    "This is a joke" she stated as she stared at Aleksei in disgust who was enthusiastically talking to Aria


    about something but she just turned the other way and rolled her eyes.


    A couple momentster, Aleksei had gone somewhere, probably to meet M so he could walk her


    down the aisle.


    Tyberias had alsoe out and was standing at the front of the aisle. I could tell he was searching for


    me but sighed and stuck his hands in his pockets when he couldn''t find me due to the massive number


    of people Aleksei had invited.


    "This whole wedding is a joke" Aria said as she came towards us and slumped back in the chair next to


    us.


    People began to quieten down as the lights dimmed and a bright spot light was shining at where M


    and Aleksei appeared, as per Aleksei''s request.


    "What a joke!" Mr Romano sighed as he also came to sit next to me.


    The music began being yed and everyone stood up as M and Aleksei stood at the end of the


    aisle.

    I couldn''t help but envy her. That should be me.


    Everyone smiled in awe as she began walking down the aisle, apart from us 4.


    What irked me the most was how Aleksei was smiling like the Cheshire Cat. Everything was going how

    When they reached Tyberias, Aleksei kissed her on her forehead and patted Tyberias on the back a


    little too hard.


    "Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Tyberias


    Romano and M Ivanov in marriage. In the years they have been together, their love and


    understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives


    together as husband and wife." The priest said and I rolled my eyes at the irony of the situation.


    The ceremony continued for about 15 minutes and Tyberias was still discreetly trying to look for me in


    the audience.


    "Do you Tyberias Romano take M Ivanov to be yourwfully wedded wife to be yourwfully wedded


    wife, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever


    challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"


    When I heard the one line I was dreading, I instantly sunk down further into my chair and used my hair


    to cover up my watery eyes.


    I flinched slightly when I felt Mr Romano wrap and arm around mefortingly.


    "It''s okay, Juliana" he whispered and rubbed my shoulder as I silently let my tears fall.


    "I-uh" I heard Tyberias stutter, unsure if he could go through with this.


    "I''m gonna go to the bathroom" I whispered as I slowly got up and headed towards the exit. It wasn''t


    difficult, seeing as I was right at the back.


    I turned back onest time and saw him staring at me directly.


    "Mr Romano?" The priest egged on.


    "I-I do" Tyberias muttered. I gave him a sad smile before turning away and leaving the hall.


    Only when I had gotten into a taxi, had I broken down in tears, not caring that I waspletely


    embarrassing myself in front of the driver.


    "Are you okay,dy?" The driver asked and handed me a tissue.


    "I will be" I replied and wiped my face clean of any tears.
