"So I really want this wedding to happen as soon as possible, that''s why it will be happening in a
month." Yaya exined while sipping on her cocktail.
She had invited all her bridesmaids to meet for lunch and the only person I knew around this table was
Alma the other three ; no idea.
"Oh right, Alma and Raina this is Leentje Timmermans my childhood bestfriend, we met in highschool
back in Amsterdam." She pointed at the woman who sat beside me with big cold narrow gray eyes,
strawberry blonde hair in waves and had a meaningful tattoo on her neck.
"Nice to meet you Alma and Raina I wouldn''t say the same." She spoke in a thick Dutch ent filled
with vernom and I flinched in my seat.
"She is my maid of Honour." Yaya added.
"Over there is Linda Freisler, she from Germany you must know her collections...we met at a fashion
show in Cologne and we have been close friends ever since." She pointed at the woman who beside
Leentje with a sophisticated solemn expression. She had deep set blue eyes tousled auburn hair with a
nose ring.
"Alma and Raina, Guten dag." She said in a nonchnt tone. I furrowed my eyebrows because I didn''t
understand what the hell she was saying but Alma replied without hesitance, her stomach was now
showing just a bit considering she was four months pregnant.
"Over there is Antota Ravn, a good friend of my mine. She is from South Africa but we went to the
same Fashion school in Amsterdam back in Nethends." She pointed at the woman who sat right
beside me, i had thought she was African-American from her caramel tannedplexion. She had
warm brown eyes, her ck frizzy hair ced in a bun, a small gold earing on each ear.
"Nice to finally meet you Alma and Raina." She spoke with a none american ent.
"Nice to meet you all." I gave a warm smile making Leentje roll her eyes and Linda furrowed her
eyebrows.
"She''s American ?" Linda questioned.
"Well yes." Yaya replied. That''s when realization dawned onto me, i was the only American sitting on
this table. Of course I feltfortable with Alma but now I felt left out because she could speak Dutch
with them but hey Linda and Antota can''t speak Dutch.
"I thought you were only inviting Europeans, you know how i absolutely distaste Americans." Linda
sneeredying her manicured hand on her cocktail ss.
"Actually I''m not fully American, my mom is from Puerto Rico." I replied trying to ease the tension.
"So can you speak Dutch or German or just Spanish ?" Leentje narrowed her eyes at me.
"No." I replied in a low tone.
"So you can''t even speak Spanish ?" Linda sourly asked.
"No."
"Then you are American and I don''t like you." Linda said as a matter of fact.
"Come on, Linda." Antota added.
"I''m not the only American here, am I ?" I turned to look at them. Leentje startedughing hysterically
then Yaya and Antotaughed as well.
"You are darling. Antoneitta speaks Afrikaans and I speak German...both thesenguages are simr
to Dutch so let''s just say we can speak Dutch." She said in time like she was speaking to a five year
old.
"Oh..." I frowned so much to Alma for being my best friend she didn''t even mutter a word in my
defence.
"But we are going to speak English and none of that." Antota added.
"Netta-" Linda and Leentje yelped at the same time.
"Anyways back to why we are heredies. I''m getting married." Yaya grinned showing off her beautiful
ring. Wow I thought, he really went all out.
"That''s right and I''m the maid of Honour." Leentje grimaced.
"No need to rub it in." Linda rolled her eyes.
"You haven''t even told us who is Raina and Alma. One of your many friends ?" Antota said, it
seemed she was one person that everyone on this table seemed to listen to.
"She told us on the phone remember.." Leentje said in an annoyed tone.
"Alma the millionaire''s sister and Raina the baby mama for millionaire." Linda said and I felt sick to my
stomach, no wonder they all seemed to hate me. Antota only liked me because she didn''t know but
now she knows.
"Oh right." Antota furrowed her eyebrows giving me a ditasteful look.
"I think I''m just going to go." I felt unwee and ufortable like they were against me.

"No no stay." Yaya stopped me while her friends gave her the ''what are you doing'' look. Grayson was
really my bestfriend because in this whole conversation you would think Alma wasn''t even there, she
ignored my presence like a bug.
"This is my wedding and I want her to stay so treat her well." She summoned and they all gave me
distasteful looks.
"Fine, but I will speak Dutch or German when it suits me even if she is here or not." Linda added.
"Damn right." Leentje sneered at me.
"I''m sure you have Google tranter on your phone." Antota said sarcastically making Leentje and
Lindaugh.
"I think Yaya will be a good Samaritan and trante." Linda added as theyughed.
"I tried being nice but this is just bullshit. Yaya wants me in her wedding so if you have a problem with it
please shove it up your Dutch or German throats because I won''t sit here while you insult me. You will
just have to tolerate me because I''m not going anywhere until Yaya says it herself. Right Yaya ?" I
turned to Yasmine.
"Exactly." She replied. Alma just pretended to be on her phone the whole time. "Now let''s talk about
what we are here for.."
I heard Leentje, Linda and Antota muttered incoherent sounds among themselves like I care. I
won''t let Angelo step all over me then Angelo''s fianc??e then Angelo''s fianc??e''s friends like hell..
