Chapter 1576

The bodyguard looked troubled. His orders from Fermin were clear. He couldn''t leave Liza''s side.

"He''s just doing his job," Debra said.<fn9ab3> Find the newest release on F?nd-Novel</fn9ab3>

Before Liza could respond, she continued, "But having him stay in the house with us isn''t convenient. How about he stays in the greenhouse outside? You won''t leave without telling him anyway."

    The bodyguard hesitated.

"You heard thedy," Liza chimed in. "Stop hovering around. If you piss me off, Fermin will break your legs."

The bodyguard had no choice but to nod. "Yes, Miss."

It was winter in Orkgate, and though the snow outside wasn''t heavy, it was still cold. The greenhouse had heat, making it warmer than the house, but there was no bed, only chairs. It was going to be a rough night for him.

Once the bodyguard was gone, Liza asked nervously, "Did Marion really betray you?"

"I don''t know," Debra replied. "Maybe. If he can lie to me, what else isn''t he capable of?" "Are you going to divorce him?" Liza pressed.

She had thought they were just fighting, but clearly, the real situation wasplicated.

Debra looked at the suitcase. "How long did Fermin let you stay in Orkgate?"

    "One day," Liza sighed.

"And you brought all this?" Debra raised an eyebrow.

"Fermin packed it. He was worried I wouldn''t have everything I needed," Liza exined, opening the suitcase. "I checked it before I left. No bugs or cameras."

Debra was taken aback, recalling the first time they met. Somehow, the spoiled girl had learned to be cautious.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Liza asked, holding Debra''s hand. "We''ve been through a lot together. I won''t do anything to hurt you. I don''t know why Fermin sent me here, but I think he wants me to get

information from you. I won''t let him use me to hurt my friends."

Debra smiled, "I still think you were cuter when you were spoiled."

"My dad always said we have to grow up," Liza said seriously. "I might not be as smart as you, but I''m learning. One day, I''ll be able to fight alongside you."

Debraughed. "I believe that day wille soon."

    Just then, her phone rang.

"Madam, when are youing back?" Ben said anxiously. "Thepany needs you here to sort things out."
