“Remington, you can’t just let them walk away like that. Make things clear before anyone leaves!”
Hanna saw Lizetta trying to leave and frowned, her voice stern and loud.
Lizetta just stared back at Remington, her eyes filled with mockery. Remington’s grip tightened, and he
stepped aside to let them pass.
Hogan then helped Lizetta past him, taking her out first.
“Remington, how could you, Ah!”
Hanna started to protest as he let them go but was cut off when Remington turned back, snatched a
syringe from the doctor’s hand before it could be put away.
With a quick twist and pull, the needle bent and broke, piercing through the skin of his palm. Remington
clutched the syringe, his force nearly crushing it, the extracted liquid mixing with the blood from his
palm, dripping onto the floor.
Everything was ruined. Hanna’s eyes widened in shock as she rushed forward to snatch the syringe,
eximing, “Remington! What are you doing?! Didn’t you hear what Lizetta just said? She confessed.”
“Enough!”
Remington cut her off again, his voice cold as he threw the remnants of the syringe away.
His gaze was sharp as a de, his voice icy.
“Ah!” The syringe flew past Hanna’s ear, making her pale and sping her ear, she scream in shock.
The doctor and nurses present shrank back, not daring to breathe too loudly. Remington scanned the
room coldly andmanded, “Everyone involved, your licenses are revoked, and you all are fired!”
The director, who had just arrived, wiped the sweat from his brow and quickly agreed, “Understood.”
But the doctor and nurses were shocked, their faces pale as they protested their innocence.
“Mr. Dashiell! You can’t do this; we were just following Mrs. Dashiell’s orders!”
“You can’t revoke my medical license; Mrs. Dashiell consented to the procedure. I didn’t break any
rules!”
“We couldn’t defy Mrs. Dashiell’s orders!”
But Remington remained unyielding, his expression cold.
He raised his voice indifferently, “Ignoring a patient’s wishes, is that not a breach of ethics? The
Dashiell Group’s hospital is not some back–alley clinic!”
Even under Hanna’s pressure, a doctor, a person, should have their principles!
Turning, Remington strode away, but a nurse, desperate, ran in front of him, falling to her knees and
begging in tears.
“Mr. Dashiell, my family depends on my ie. It was just an amniocentesis, and Mrs. Lizetta Dashiell
wasn’t harmed. You can’t crush us without mercy, not leaving us any way out!”
Remington looked down at her with a chilling gaze, his lips curling in contempt, “She begged you too,
didn’t she? When you went after my wife and child, did you show any mercy?”

The nurse was frightened by his icy stare and copsed on the floor. Remington stepped over her
without pause.
Leaving the operating room, he ordered, “Take my mom home, and ensure she’s well cared for!”
In the operating room.
After Remington left, the medical staff turned to Hanna, their careers and futures destroyed, their
licenses revoked, and expelled from the hospital, their livelihoods uncertain.
They vented their panic and anger op Hanna, surrounding her, pulling and hitting. Hanna screamed
non–stop.
Lizetta, supported by Hogan, stepped out of the building into the dark, chilly night. She seemed a bit.
shaken, her body trembling slightly.
Hogan immediately took off his coat and wrapped it around her, asking with concern, “Can you make
it?‘If you’re not feeling well, maybe you should stay in the hospital for observation.”
Lizetta gave him a weak smile, “I’m fine, really. I just want to go home. Did you drive here? Could you
please give me a lift?”
