Zhane realized that he would be the one losing out if he stepped back for his friend Xavier to pursue the woman he fancied. His mother was well aware of his circle of friends and cherished each of them as if they were her own children. However, she staunchly believed that her son should not miss out on the opportunity to be with a good woman simply because of his friends.
Unlike the rest of the group, Zhane was wholly dedicated to his passion for medicine. While he only maintained close ties with his circle of friends, he couldn’t bebeled as introverted. He did socialize with other doctors, yet his primary focus remained on his profession. He chose to prioritize his time towards research and patient care, believing he could achieve greater sess and make a more significant impact within his field.
Given his limited friend group, Zhane found himself at a loss for conversation topics with Hera. Theycked amon ground to engage in meaningful discussion, leaving him feeling apprehensive. He watched as his other friends, particrly Dave, questioned Xavier, further heightening his concern.
Now that he had discovered amon ground to converse with Hera, he seized the first opportunity that presented itself. Despite his initial hesitation, Zhane felt confident that his father would not disapprove of his decision.
"Is it really true, Dr. Everett?" Bry’s father’s voice trembled with emotion as he asked the question that had been weighing heavily on his heart. The prospect of his younger brother being included in this opportunity was already the best oue he could hope for. Knowing that doctors with extensive expertise and experience would conduct the research gave him renewed hope that his brother might walk again. His chest swelled with a tumult of emotions, especially those he had long concealed: hope mingled with the pain of witnessing his younger brother’s suffering for so long.
As tears of hope welled in Bry’s father’s eyes, Zhane couldn’t shake a twinge of guilt. He realized he had leveraged a patient’s condition to spark a conversation with Hera and make a favorable impression. Quickly readjusting his thoughts, he reverted to his usual demeanor as a stern doctor.
"Yes, I will be leading this surgery, so if there’s anything you need to rify, feel free to ask me directly." Zhane’s voice betrayed no hint of emotion; he appeared stoic and detached. In his line of work, Zhane had learned topartmentalize his emotions. Being burdened by feelings could prove overwhelming, especially considering the unpredictable nature of his profession. With the constant possibility of losing a patient and the uncertainty of oues, allowing emotions to reign would only add unnecessary strain to their mentality andposure which would be detrimental to their work and may lead to idents or more stress.
"Thank you, Doctor!" Bry’s father’s gratitude was palpable, almost prompting him to kneel before Zhane with overwhelming happiness. Zhane quickly halted the gesture, and Hera offered her support by steadying his arm from the side. She empathized with his immense joy and shared in the sentiment. With Zhane leading the surgery, she couldn’t have asked for a better oue.
