Chapter 963: Chapter 963: Are You Hungry?

The curtains were drawn, and she turned on a wallmp. In therge room, the light from this smallmp appeared very dim, as if the entire room was enveloped in ayer of hazy orange light.
A woman suddenly appeared in his room.
On that bed where no woman had everin, she sprawled out, lying there in a starfish position.
His private space was upied just like that, yet the sensation was not unpleasant at all.
With the presence of one more person, there was an extra sense of attachment.
While at thepany, he thought about the person waiting for him at home, a feeling that was too subtle to be described with words.
Matthew Saxon walked lightly, slowly moving to the side of the bed.
It was alreadyte. Although he had finished those tasks as quickly as possible, when he got home, it was already seven o’clock.
He wondered if she would be impatient from waiting, or if she would just eat on her own before he got back.
Even though he didn’t want her to be hungry, he selfishly hoped she would wait to have dinner with him.
Upon reaching home, he inquired about her, only to be told that she was still asleep.
As Matthew Saxon reached the bedside, still pondering whether to wake her, Scarlett Yates suddenly moved.
She rolled over slowly, thenzily opened her eyes, reached out to rub them, blinked, and sleepily gazed at Matthew Saxon.
"You’re back." She rubbed her eyes again, her words came out as if she had something in her mouth, unclear and a bit muffled.
Seeing her in this state, Matthew Saxon realized she hadn’t fully woken up.
Yet, hearing her say those words so casually and naturally, a hint of a joyful smile appeared in Matthew Saxon’s eyes.
He nodded, "Mm, I’m back. Did you sleep well?"
Scarlett slowly got up from the bed, stared at Matthew Saxon for a moment, blinked, and the next second, her face flushed.
Just waking up from a deep sleep, her mind was still a bit fuzzy.
For a moment, seeing Matthew Saxon felt almost dreamlike.
As she slowly became fully awake, realized it wasn’t a dream, and returned to reality, she felt a bit nervous.
"Oh, yes, I slept well, very well." In the warm, cozy room, on the incredibly soft bed, with absolutely no noise interference, she slept very soundly.
Upon waking, she felt much more energized, as if her body was filled with vitality.
"If you’ve slept well,e down and have dinner with me." Matthew Saxon sat down at the bed’s edge, extended a big hand, and pulled her up from the bed.
Mm, that pull was a bit forceful, directly pulling her into his embrace.
Scarlett bumped her head against his solid chest. Even though it was her forehead that was hit, she felt like her heart had been impacted, making it suddenly race rapidly.
Matthew Saxon naturally held her in his arms, his arm effortlessly wrapped around her waist, patting her head, his voice carrying a hint ofughter, "After sleeping for so long, are you hungry?"
As Scarlett had guessed, after spending an afternoon digesting, Matthew Saxon’s anger had dissipated.
His jealousy red up swiftly, but faded just as quickly.
By the time he appeared before Scarlett again, he was already back to his good-natured self.
