    Reese nodded, eyes on the alert that just popped up on her phone. "I believe you."


    She pulled up her medical report and handed her phone to Matthew. "Someone tampered with my results. It says I have high-risk HPV and genital warts. Apparently, I''m ''unfit for pregnancy.""


    "This is definitely a setup. I think the Barnard family is behind it," she said, making sure Matthew caught the reference. "That''s my lovely aunt''s side, by the way."


    "That''s exactly why I''m here," Matthew replied. He didn''t even bother looking at the phone-he''d seen the report as soon as he heard Bruce was in trouble. None of this surprised him. After everything that had gone down, it was clear someone was working against them.


    "The guy who reported Bruce is Jon. He''s deputy director at the fertility clinic," Matthew exined. "He''s not military, just been stuck in the same position for years with no way up.


    "The Barnards must''ve promised him something if he got Bruce out of the picture.


    "Once Bruce was taken away, Jon swooped in and took over your and Sebastian''s IVF case. Your medical report? That was all him."


    Reese nodded, connecting the dots. "Makes sense now." Tara and Rosie were desperate after Dylon got arrested. They wanted to mess up her rtionship with Sebastian by faking her medical report, hoping the Ratcliff family wouldy off Dylon. At the same time, they needed Bruce out so Jon could take over the IVF process. Two birds, one stone.


    "Leslie hasn''t made a move yet, so we need to keep up appearances. The IVF act has to go on." Reese handed Matthew a ss of water. "But Jon is working for Rosie. We can''t let him run the show. We have to get Bruce out first."


    Matthew finished the water in one gulp. He''d rushed over, worried Reese would spiral after seeing the report, and now his throat was dry.


    "They''re using Bruce of illegally transferring data, so the main evidence must be the hospital''s server logs.


    "I found out Jon''s been hanging around the IT department a lot. He probably faked the logs to frame Bruce.


    "We need to get to the hospital now," Matthew said. "Find the holes in Jon''s story, and make sure no one in IT destroys the real evidence."


    Reese nodded. "No time to waste. Let''s go."


    She grabbed her coat, opened the door, and turned to say something-then froze. Someone was standing right outside.


    "Sebastian? What are you doing here?"


    Sebastian stood in the doorway, cold fury radiating off him. His stare could cut ss as he looked from Reese to Matthew, both stepping out of the same apartment


    After their phone call, he couldn''t shake the feeling something was
