Chapter 270

Reese didn''t bother checking Zach''s reaction. She walked straight to the curb, called her assistant toe handle the mess, then gged down a cab and headed off to meet Hank.

Half an hourter, the cab pulled up in front of Maple Street Diner. Reese paid the driver, stepped out, and walked inside.

    "You''rete."

Hank looked up as she entered, ncing at his watch. His eyes were cold, sizing

    her up.

"Something came up," Reese said, sliding into the seat across from him. She didn''t waste time. "So what do you want?"

Hank scoffed, not hiding his annoyance at her calm attitude. "What do I want? Reese, you are so heartless. Grandpa and Mom gave everything to Ramos Corporation, and now you''re just about to ruin it."

Reese''s eyes narrowed. "Funny you say that. None of you cared about Ramos Corporation for years. Now, with thepany falling apart, suddenly you show up acting all concerned."

"Dad and I just don''t want to watch you destroy what they built."

Hank pulled a document from his briefcase and pushed it across the table.

"This is a buyout agreement. Take a look."

He continued, "Dad says if you agree to have another kid with Sebastian, to inherit Ramos Corporation and the Meyer family shares Mom left you, your current share will stay the same."

Reese didn''t even nce at the papers. She took a sip of coffee, then let out a coldugh. "Keep dreaming.

"All these years you ignored me and Ramos Corporation. You even let Sofia worm her way between me and Sebastian. And now you want to force me to have another child? Please."

"You''re only doing this because Sofia''s no longer of use, and you''re desperate to strengthen your ties with the Ratcliff family."

She shot Hank a look, then stood up. "Go tell Bailey I''m not agreeing to anything. He should just give up."

She turned to leave, annoyed she''d even bothered showing up.

    "Reese!"

Hank called after her, pulled out his phone, tapped the screen, and pushed it toward her. "At least look at this first."

Reese nced at the screen and instantly froze. Her face went cold.

Trending on social media was the hashtag

#Reese RamosPushed HerCousinCausing Miscarriage, right at the top with a bright red "trending"bel.

She tapped into the post. The first thing she saw was a tweet from Dylon. He''d just posted a video from the conference, cut so it only

showed her arguing with Taral ne

part where Tara fell was slowed down, with a big red arrow pointing to "Reese''s hand movement." The caption screamed: "How can anyone be this cruel? Tara was pregnant and just tried to talk to Reese, but Reese pushed her and now she''s lost the baby. She''s still in the hospital, fighting for her life. Please help us get justice for my daughter!"

It was obvious Dylon had bought bots. Comments flooded in by the thousands,

updating faster than she could read:

"Reese is evil. Who hurts a pregnant woman like that?"

"No wonder Ramos Corporation is getting cklisted with her in charge."

"I heard she stole thepany from her uncle''s family and now she''s hurt her own cousin. She''s toxic."

"I always wondered why the CEO''sst name was different. Now it makes sense -she stole it."

"Someone needs to investigate her. I bet there''s more dirt!"

Hank scrolled to a local forum post

    "The Truth About Reese Ramos

Sleeping Her Way to the Top- Crushing Her Uncle''s Family and New Causing a Miscarriage."

It was full of wild stories about how Reese supposedly slept with a powerful man seven years ago to be CEO. It used her of mistreating employees and stealingpany money and thements

were all just hate and insults. Cóntent

    "See?"

Hank took his phone back and looked right at Reese. "This is what everyone''s saying about you. How much longer do you think you can keep this up?"
