Chapter 206

Reese dodged to the side and grabbed Jane''s wrist, her voice low and steady. "I''m warning you, keep your hands to yourself."

"Ow! Reese, are you out of your mind?" Jane yelped, twisting in pain as she looked over at Sebastian. "Sebastian! Are you seeing this? She''s manhandling me!"

"That''s enough!" Sebastian stepped forward. Before Reese could react, he snatched her arm. "Reese, this isn''t the ce for your drama."

"My drama?" Reese tried to pull her arm free, but his grip was like steel. “Sebastian, she started it. Are you really not seeing what''s happening?"

Sebastian''s eyes were cold, just like she remembered all those years ago. "She''s my mother. No matter what, you don''t get to talk back to her."

Reese couldn''t help but feel how ridiculous this all was.

Jane had med her out of nowhere, used her of killing Mr. Ratcliff, shoved her around, and tried to hit her more than once. Sebastian didn''t even flinch. But the second Reese defended herself and grabbed Jane''s wrist, suddenly he was leaping to his mother''s rescue.

    How touching!

Sebastian caught the icy look Reese shot him, but the thought of the pendant just made him want tough. If Reese was going to treat his feelings like nothing, why should he bother being nice? Just fight it out then. No one deserved to win.

"Let go," he bit out, tightening his hold. Reese winced from the pain and finally let go of Jane.

Jane yanked her hand free, and before Reese could move, Jane pped her hard across the face.

Heat bloomed instantly on Reese''s cheek. Her eyes turned to ice.

Jane, still fuming, lunged forward again. "You poisonous bitch! You still won''t admit you killed

    grandfather, Even if

    Cave hir

with that medicine, I will never

forgive you, and neither will the

    Ratcliff family!

"You''re disrespectful and disloyal. You''ve broken every rule a wife should follow. I''ll make sure Sebastian divorces you!

"The Ratcliffs must have been blind to marry you in. You''re nothing but bad luck. If you think you''ll get a piece of the shares after he dies, keep dreaming!"

But this time, Reese wasn''t about to let Jane get in another shot. She pped Jane right back, then shoved her with all her strength.

"That''s for what you just did to me," Reese snapped. "And hear me, Jane. I''m done with this marriage. As for those shares, you''re not getting a single..."

"Reese, shut up!" Sebastian''s voice cut through the chaos, cold and sharp.

He went to Jane, helping her up as she started to cry, then red at Reese with pure contempt. He spoke each word slowly, like a threat. "Divorce? Don''t even think about it."

"You''re part of the Ratcliff family,, alive or dead. And the shares? Forget it. You killed my grandfather and now you want his inheritance? You really think let you get away with that?"

Reese pressed her hand to her burning cheek, a bitter smile curving on her lips.

She thought of the evidence George had that Sebastian used her as a surrogate. Meeting Sebastian''s gaze, Reese''s voice was icy and resolute.

"Divorce isn''t your call. The court will decide.

"Sebastian, not only am I leaving you and taking every share Grandpa left for me, I''ll make sure you lose everything."

Reese had never nned to go this far. She''d always held back, even though she had the evidence to ruin Sebastian and take everything from him. But now, she was done holding back.
