Chapter 1337

At that moment, a message notification chimed on Eleanor''s phone. It was fromn. [I''m heading out on a business trip for three days. I''ll have to trouble you with

    Evelyn.]

Eleanor nced at her phone and replied, [Focus on your work. I''ll take good care of Evelyn.]

As the tall man stepped out of his house, he read the message, and a faint smile touched his lips. At least her replies were no longer curt, one-word answers.

Gavin nced over at the coffee shop, wondering if he should grab a coffee for his boss to have on the way.

Suddenly, he spotted a familiar figure sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window. It was Eleanor.

He knew she was on a break recently, so it wasn''t particrly strange to see her at a coffee shop near her home.

As Gavin watched, a young man in a simple white shirt sat down in the empty seat across from her. Gavin''s first thought was that he was trying to hit on her.

But his assumption changed a secondter. Eleanor was smiling and saying something to the young man, who immediately stood up and respectfully shook her hand.

Gavin stared, stunned for a few seconds, carefully studying the boy through the ss window.

He looked to be in his early twenties, with a clean-cut and handsome appearance, like a fresh college graduate. He seemed as bright and energetic as the morning sun overhead.

Inside, Eleanor and Diaz had already started their conversation. Eleanor got straight to the point. "Diaz, I''ve reviewed your resume. It''s very impressive. I''m particrly interested in your research focus. Could you tell me more about your third project?"

Speaking about his professional field, Diaz''s eyes lit up, and he began to artictely exin his research direction to Eleanor.

As Gavin was focused on the coffee shop, the rear car door suddenly opened, andn slid into the seat.

Gavin''s heart skipped a beat. He didn''t know it he should let his boss see what was happening in the coffee shop next to them-Eleanor, engaged in a

    Pheerful conversation

with a young, vibrant, and handsome boy.

Ultimately Gavin decided it was better to let sleeping dogs lie. If his

boss saw that, mis three day

    ee day

business trip would likely be gued with anxiety.

Just as Gavin stepped on the gas and was about to turn the steering wheel to pull

away, a sharp, lowmand came from the back seat. "Stop!"

Gavin mmed on the brakes and turned to look at his boss.

He sawn staring intently through the car window, his gaze locked on the coffee shop. He was looking directly at Eleanor and the young man. Clearly, his boss had noticed on his own.

Eleanor was listening intently to what the boy was saying, nodding from time to time,

her face filled with an unreserved smile of appreciation.

    Who was this boy?

And why was Eleanor being so friendly with him?

Even through the window, it was obvious he was young, full of life.

Gavin cautiously observed his boss''s expression. Ian''s gaze remained locked on Eleanor, his jaw tight. An intimidating aura began to fill the car.

"Mr. Goodwin—" Gavin ventured tentatively, "should I go find out who he is?"

Before Gavin could finish,n shoved the car door open and swung his long legs out.

Gavin quickly unbuckled his seatbelt and followed him out of the car.
