Chapter 745: Keep looking back anymore

"Eat a little more," Dominick instructed, watching Jeniva closely as she pushed her te away after barely finishing half her meal.
His brows knitted together in disapproval.
Jeniva picked up a napkin and gently dabbed the corners of her mouth.
"But I’m already full," she said, giving him an innocent look. "I really can’t eat more."
Dominick clearly didn’t look convinced.
Across the table, Evan observed the entire exchange with growing amusement. A slow smirk spread across his face as he leaned back in his chair.
"You’re far more worried about Jeniva than she is about herself," he remarked casually.
His eyes shifted between the two of them.
"What’s this sudden change in our prince?" he continued teasingly. "Why do I feel like something is going on between you two?"
Jeniva froze. Her eyes immediately snapped toward Dominick, staring at him so intently that she forgot to blink for a moment.
Had Evan noticed something?
The thought made her heartbeat quicken.
Before the silence could stretch any longer, she waved her hand dismissively.
"You think too much, Evan," Jeniva said quickly, brushing thement aside. "I have to take my medicine." She pushed her chair back. "I’ll take my leave."
Before either of them could respond, she stood up and hurried out of the dining room, almost as if she were escaping the conversation.
Dominick watched her go but said nothing. He simply resumed eating, maintaining his usualposed expression.
Across the table, however, Evan leaned forward with clear curiosity.
"At least tell me," he said. "I promise I’ll only cheer for you and Jeniva." His grin widened slightly. "I’ve been noticing things for quite some time now."
Dominick didn’t look up from his te.
"You really enjoy gossiping, don’t you?" he muttered.
Evan shook his head immediately.
"Not at all," he replied. "I just want to know if the Alpha Prince I serve, my friend, has finally decided to move on and find his own happiness."
The moment those words left his mouth, Dominick’s fork froze midair.
The phrase "His own happiness" echoed in his mind. Slowly, he lifted his eyes and gave Evan a quiet re.
Without saying another word, he ced the fork down, picked up the napkin, and wiped his mouth before rising from his seat.
A momentter, he walked out of the dining room.
Evan blinked in confusion as he watched him leave.
"Did I say something wrong?" he mumbled under his breath.
Meanwhile, Dominick walked down the corridor with steady steps until he reached his room. He entered and shut the door behind him.
He stood there for a moment, his thoughts racing.
"Can I even find happiness again?" he murmured to himself. His mind drifted back to the past. "With June... I thought I had found it. But is it really that easy to find joy again after losing it once?"
His wolf’s voice answered from deep within his mind.
’Haven’t you already found peace with Jeniva What you feel for her is different from what we once felt for June and her wolf.’
There was a pause before the wolf continued.
’You shouldn’t keep looking back anymore.’
Dominick’s brows knitted together in contemtion.

Although the entire department had been given the weekend off, Juniper had still been asked toe in.
Her team leader had assigned her the task of preparing the proposal for an important meeting scheduled on Monday. Oncepleted, the document had to be sent to the manager’s secretary before the end of the day.
Sitting alone in the quiet office, Juniper’s fingers moved steadily across the keyboard as she reviewed the final sections of the proposal.
After a few more edits, she finally leaned back slightly in her chair and lifted her hands away from the keyboard.
It was done.
She took a slow breath, letting the tension ease from her shoulders. Before closing anything, she carefully saved the file, double-checking that every detail had been properly recorded.
Then she opened her email and attached the document, sending it directly to the manager’s secretary as instructed.
Once the message was sent sessfully, Juniper shut down theputer and gathered her belongings. The office floor was unusually quiet since most of the employees were enjoying their day off.
A few minutester, she stepped out of the building and into the open air.
The weekend crowd had already begun to fill the streets.
Juniper nced around, looking for a taxi. After spotting one waiting nearby, she raised her hand to signal the driver.
The cab pulled up beside her.
She opened the door, slid into the back seat, and leaned slightly forward.
"Take me to the city’s shopping center," she told the driver.
The cab started moving soon after, merging into the flow of traffic. Juniper rested her head against the window, thinking, ’How much my life has changed in such a short time? But why do I feel more and more frustrated every single day? No one talks with me at the workce after knowing my past. Am I that terrible? Why can’t no one understand me even for once?’
The cab slowed to a stop in front of the busy shopping center. The driver applied the brakes and turned slightly to inform her that they had arrived.
Juniper quickly took out her wallet, paid the fare, and stepped out of the car.
The shopping district was lively with weekend crowds. People moved in and out of the ss doors, carrying shopping bags and chatting among themselves. Juniper adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder and began walking toward the entrance.
As she navigated through the crowd, her arm suddenly brushed against someone passing by.
"Sorry," she said immediately, the apology slipping out of her mouth without even looking up.
"Juniper?!"
The familiar voice made her pause.
She lifted her gaze and saw Denzel standing in front of her, his phone still in his hand. He had clearly been in the middle of a call before the unexpected encounter.
"I’m sorry too," he said quickly, lowering the phone.
For a moment, his eyes studied her face. There was a visible trace of exhaustion in her expression, as if she hadn’t been resting properly.
"It’s fine," Juniper replied calmly.
She gave a brief nod and began walking again, clearly intending to continue on her way.
But Denzel quickly matched her pace.
"I actually wanted to ask you something," he said as he walked alongside her.
