Chapter 964

"Mom, Mom," Ynda called out weakly for Mrs. Walker as she struggled to get out of bed.

However, it was a maid from the Walker household who came in. "Miss, you''re awake."

"Wasn''t I having surgery at the hospital? Why am I home? Where''s my mom?" Ynda asked urgently.

"Mrs. Walker was taken away by the police on suspicion of murder and organ trafficking," the maid answered cautiously.

"Mom was taken away? What about my surgery? Was itpleted?" Ynda asked in a panic. She instinctively lifted her clothes and found no new incision.

She touched her face; it was still swollen.

"Why? Why wasn''t the surgery done! I don''t want to live like this! I need a new kidney!" Ynda shrieked, once again losing control and smashing things in her

    room.

Vincent walked in and saw his daughter''s frantic rampage. Furious, he pped her hard across the face.

"Have you lost your mind?! If you hadn''t been acting crazy and refusing to

cooperate with treatment, your mother wouldn''t have taken such a desperate risk. You''ve destroyed this family. If I had known, I never should have saved you. It would have been better to just let you die and spare everyone else the trouble."

After pping Ynda, Vincent''s hand trembled uncontrobly.

Because he had struggled with infertility for years, Vincent had always cherished Ynda as his only, precious daughter, even with her health defects.

Vincent had once been a respected public official, a official who was down-to-earth and genuinely worked for the people.

Later, Ynda''s health deteriorated, and she needed a kidney transnt.

Since Ynda had a rare blood type, they couldn''t find a donor. At the time, Vincent''s sister worked for the health department and was very close with the Rogers family.

They came up with a n for Vincent, securing a healthy kidney for Ynda.

Ynda lived, but the little girl whose kidney was taken died.

Vincent now had a life on his conscience and was dragged down a path of no return by his sister and the Rogers family.

If he could do it all over again, if he had known he would have a healthy son, he never would have saved

anda. He would have continued to be a good public official

"I can''t die, I don''t want to die." Ynda''s cheek was swollen from the p, and her

emotions spiraled further out of control.

    She stumbled over to Vincent,

    grabbed his clothes, and yelled,

"Dad Daddy, save me! I don''t want

to die As long as have a kidney as I long as I get Yvonne''s kidney, I can live..."

“Enough!” Vincent cut her off angrily.

"Yvonne''s kidney isn''t even a match for you. Having the same blood type doesn''t guarantee a match This was all a setup by Bet and Yvonne to lure you in, you fool!"

Mrs. Walker had lived a life of pampered luxury for too long, letting her guard downpletely.

She thought that catching Mrs. Powell taking bribes would be enough to make her do her bidding.

But Mrs. Powell was no fool. Taking bribes would, at worst, be a stain on her career. But if she helped Mrs. Walker kill Yvonne, she would have a life on her hands.

So, Mrs. Powell yed along with Mrs. Walker while secretly telling Bet the truth.

Bet never intended to let Yvonne take such a risk, but the investigation team approached her directly.

Yvonne cooperated with the investigators, ultimately sealing Mrs. Walker''s fate.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Walker took all the me herself, wanting her daughter to still have a father to rely on.
