Chapter 932

Noah walked over and ced the pastry box on the coffee table, casually covering the divorce papers.

"I bought your favorite pastries. They were just made. Want to try one?" Noah

    offered.

"Thank you,” Cynthia replied coolly. “I''m not hungry. Let''s just leave them forter.”

Noah nodded at her response, then asked, "Was the baby behaving today? Did they give you any trouble?"

"No," Cynthia said, not offering a single extra word.

Then, a heavy silence fell between them.

Silently, Cynthia reached out, pulled the divorce agreement out from under the pastry box, and handed it to Noah.

Noah took the papers but didn''t look at them, his gaze fixed on Cynthia.

"Cynthia, you know I won''t divorce you."

Cynthia remained silent, and they stared at each other.

After a long moment, Cynthia finally looked away. At that, Noah tore the divorce agreement in half and threw the pieces back onto the coffee table.

"Cynthia, what do you want me to do to stop this divorce?" Noah asked.

"What if I asked you to choose between our unborn child and Nic?" Cynthia said, her voice sharp.

Noah was first stunned, then silent.

Cynthia looked at him and scoffed. "It feels pathetic, peting with a little girl. But she has seriously disrupted our lives. Maybe I''m not generous enough to tolerate my husband being at his ex-wife''s beck and call. I can''t live like this for another day."

"Cynthia, I...” Noah tried to exin, or perhaps make a promise.

But Cynthia didn''t want to hear it. She cut him off coldly, "Noah, I''ll give you time to choose. Let me know when you''ve made up your mind."

With that, Cynthia stood up and walked upstairs.

Watching her back, Noah felt a wave of exhaustion and helplessness wash over him, unlike anything he had ever felt before.

Later, Mr. and Mrs. Scott returned.

Mrs. Scott''s reception of Noah remained icy at best. Mr. Scott''s attitude was slightly better, but he only exchanged a few simple pleasantries with him.

It was alreadyte at night when Noah left the Scott family''s house.

Driving through the night, he held the steering wheel with one hand and his phone with the other, talking to his assistant.

"Get the visas processed as soon as possible. Arrange for a house, a car, and a housekeeper over there. Deliver the property deed and the checkte Karina White personally, and make things clear to her." Noah instructed over the phone.

Noah''s assistant was highly capable and efficient. Within a week, everything was taken care of.

Noah had given it a lot of thought before deciding to have Karina and Nic settle in Xerovia.

Xerovia was also an Asian country, so there would be nonguage barrier.

It was also a developed nation. Its education, healthcare, and even living environment were on par with Istra.

The flight from Istra to Xerovia was about five or six hours, not too far, which would make it convenient enough for Noah to visit Nic.

Noah had set them up with a house,

a car, and servants in Xerovia, ensuring their quality of life would not decline. He had thought of and arranged almost everything for Nic.

Noah did not go himself; his assistant handled the negotiations with Karina personally.

Of course, Karina wouldn''t leave willingly, and the White family wouldn''t let her go easily.

To the Whites, Karina and Nic were nothing more than golden geese they intended to pluck until there was nothing left.

But the White family was a sinking

ship. Kevin White had lost over a

    hundred million in hisst gambling

binge, and though Karina had covered his debts, gambling is an addiction that''s nearly impossible to kick.
