"Letitia, your ss must have just ended. I brought some of your fellow alumni to see their old ssroom," April said with a smile, her eyes flicking nonchntly over Yvonne.


    Yvonne lowered her gaze, her expression calm and unruffled.


    Letitia and her friends greeted the alumni warmly, and they quickly started chatting.


    Somehow, the topic shifted to Yvonne and Bet.


    "Hey, I heard Mr. Thompson came for the celebration today. He''s in the principal''s office right now."


    "Mr. Bet Thompson didn''t graduate from our school, why is he joining in the fun?" a younger student asked, confused.


    "Ah, you''re new here, so you haven''t heard the epic love story of Mr. Bet Thompson and our senior, Yvonne. A rich heir and the campus belle of the police academy-it''s romantic enough to be a TV show."


    "Professor Martinez, you were Yvonne''s advisor back then. You must know all about Mr. Thompson and her, right?" a curious first-year student asked.


    "Yvonne and Mr. Bet Thompson did date, and everyone in the school knew about it,” April, as a teacher, said dismissively, before redirecting the question to one of the alumni she brought.


    "You should ask Kelly here. She was Yvonne''s roommate; she knows more than I do."


    Yvonne nced at Kelly Bishop. They had indeed been roommates, but they weren''t close. Kelly was a notorious gossip.


    At that moment, Kellyunched into a dramatic retelling of Yvonne and Bet''s tragic and beautiful love story.


    "Mr. Bet Thompson''s uncle and


    Mr. Reed wererades-in-arms, so he would often use that as an excuse toe to our school to see Yvonne. He would either apany her to the library to study or get her

    "For Yvonne''s birthday, since it wasn''t a holiday and she couldn''t leave campus, Mr. Bet Thompson set off a whole night of fireworks for her just outside the school


    so she could see them from her dorm room. It was incredibly romantic.”


    "And another time, during a school training exercise, Yvonne got injured and broke her leg.,I heard Mr. Bet Thompson was performing overseas at the time, but he flew back immediately and stayed at the hospital to take care of her for a whole week.”


    "Wow, that''s so romantic, they were so perfect together," the younger students sighed, their eyes full of envy.


    "It''s a pity she died so young. I heard Mr. Bet Thompson was heartbroken for a long time after," Kelly finished with a sigh.


    The younger students all expressed their sympathy.


    "Heartbroken? It''s only been a few years since Xvonne died, and Bet has already had two other rtionships. A rich heiress, a young actress... he has it all. Men are all the same," Letitia muttered from her seat in the back, her voice cold.


    After herment, she shot Yvonne a cold re.


    Yvonne said nothing.


    "Alright, let''s not dwell on the past," April finally interjected. "The anniversary ceremony is about to start. We should head to the auditorium, or we''ll bete and miss the speeches."


    With that, April stood up and led her group of students out of the ssroom.


    Yvonne also stood up and instinctively followed them out.
