Chapter 510

"What time is your flight? I''m also heading back to Istra today. We could take the same flight," Thomas said, looking at her.

    "It''s a five p.m. flight," Yvonne replied.

She didn''t really care. It wasn''t her private jet, so whether Thomas was on the same flight was none of her business.

"Then I''ll have my assistant..." Thomas was about to say he''d have his assistant book a ticket when a deep, maic male voice suddenly called out from behind him, "Yvonne."

Yvonne instinctively turned at the sound of her name and saw a ck Mercedes parked at the hotel entrance. Bet was standing by the car, a lit cigarette held between two fingers of his left hand.

"Bet!" Yvonne''s eyes lit up when she saw him.

She hurried over to his side, asking cheerfully, "What are you doing here?"

“I had some business nearby and was passing through. You saidst night that you were wrapping up today, so I came to take you home." Bet stubbed out his cigarette and gently ruffled her hair.

"Okay! I''ll go pack right now. Wait for me," Yvonne said, then eagerly rushed into the hotel.

As Yvonne''s figure disappeared from view, the smile on Bet''s lips slowly faded. He turned to face Thomas.

"Just yesterday, I heard my auntining to my mom that your schedule is so packed you don''t even have time toe home. I didn''t expect to see you here today."

"I came back to the set for a few reshoots," Thomas said.

"Is that so?” Bet chuckled, leaning casually against the car door.

Thomas was a top-tier, award-winning actor whose schedule was booked years in advance. It was hard to believe he would be called back for reshoots for a small guest role. The excuse was so flimsy it was almostughable.

Thomas knew the excuse wouldn''t fool Bet. Besides, he never intended to hide his feelings for Yvonne.

"Bet, I''m not going to step aside for you again."

At his words, Bet''s eyes visibly darkened, his expression turningplex.

He had always known that his cousin coveted his girlfriend.

But he and Yvonne were childhood sweethearts, inseparable. Thomas never had a chance to get between them, so he had resorted to,

    constantly antagonizing weet

Yvonne turning them into a bickering pair of frenemies.

But Thomas'' feelings for Yvonne were clearly deeper than Bet had realized.

Even when Yvonne''s own parents hadn''t recognized her, Thomas had known she was back.

But the depth of Thomas'' feelings for Yvonne didn''t matter, and Bet had no interest in exploring it.

He gave a cold smile and replied, "I don''t need you to step aside. She has always been mine."

    Thomas'' handsome face soured at

the response. He was about to say something when he saw Yvonne dragging her suitcase out of the hotel. .

She was dressed in a simple, understated white dress with arge, thick coat over

    it.

Dragging a suitcase and wearing high heels, she still ran at full speed, throwing herself into Bet''s arms like a little bird.

Bet affectionately ruffled her hair, then took her suitcase and ced it in the trunk of the car.

Yvonne noticed Thomas was still there and out of politeness, said to him. "I''ve canceled my flight Maybe we can be on the same flight next time, Mr. Taylor."

After she spoke, Bet finished stowing the luggage.

He opened the passenger door, watched Yvonne get in, and then helped her fasten

her seatbelt before closing the door firmly.

Bet walked around to the driver''s side. Before getting in, he nced back at Thomas. “We''re heading out. See you around."
