Chapter 891

She further suspected that Sebastian had shown up to detain her, to stop her from ruining Joanna''s moment in the spotlight.

"I''ll go to the hospital with you," Sebastian said, his voice deep and insistent.

Natalie was agitated and cold. She suppressed her anger and red at him. "Sebastian, you don''t have to worry about me ruining Joanna''s big moment. If she wants to win, let her win. You don''t need to hold me back for her sake."

"And you certainly don''t need to go after my friends. You gave the designs to Joanna, that''s your business. Those designs were yours to begin with. There''s no need to hurt the people around me to pull off something so shameless."

Hearing this, Sebastian finally understood. He looked at Natalie in disbelief, his voice unusually hoarse. "You think I set Susan up to keep you from crashing Joanna''s interview?"

"Isn''t that what happened? There was that one pianopetition I wanted to go to, but to stop me from ruining Joanna''s performance, you locked me at home. If you could do something like that once, why not a second time? Sebastian, I don''t want to see you again."

Natalie didn''t have the energy to argue with him.

A heart that was already cold just grew colder.

"Sebastian, I was looking for you. What are you doing here?" Joanna ran over, linking her arm with Sebastian''s, her face a mask of gentle affection.

Sebastian froze, about to push Joanna away.

But the reporters'' long-lens cameras were already shoved in his face.

Seeing this scene, Natalie''s expression became incredibly cold and calm.

She quickly slid the ambnce door shut, blocking out the noisy world outside.

As the door closed, Sebastian saw Natalie''s eyes utterly hopeless and devoid of emotion.

He knew, in that instant, that he had truly lost her.

Joanna saw the despair in Natalie''s eyes and a faint, vicious smile touched her lips.

As long as one of them still cared, she could drive a wedge between them for good.

    Sebastian looked at the reporters

blocking his way, then at Joanna

clinging to his arm. He leaned in and whispered in her ear, "Joanna, I can tell the media right now that you stole Natalie''s designs, and can testify to it. I can also tell them you''re pregnant, even though you''ve been denying it."

The low, icy words sent a chill straight to Joanna''s heart.

She hade looking for Sebastian only to generate some buzz.

And to make Natalie truly believe Sebastian had given her the designs.

Once Natalie waspletely disillusioned with Sebastian, he would be hers forever.

But she never expected him to threaten to expose her. The triumphant smile on Joanna''s face slowly vanished.

"Mr. Griffith, when will you and Ms. Scott be getting married? Everyone is curious when the happy couple is finally going to tie the knot."

"Yes, Mr. Griffith, can you give us a direct answer this time? When is the wedding?" another reporter asked.

Sebastian faced the reporters and began to exin, "Everyone, Ms. Scott and I are not—"

    *Thump...*

Before Sebastian could finish, Joanna copsed into his arms.

"Ah! Ms. Scott fainted!" a reporter shouted.

Sebastiandooked down at Joanna jn his arms, remembering how, at her birthday party, she had conveniently fainted just as Natalie was about to hold her ountable.

A cold smirk touched Sebastian''s lips. He scooped Joanna up and walked straight back into the hotel.

The reporters were thrilled. Sebastian was taking Joanna up to a hotel room!

    The image of Sebastian carrying

Joanna into the hotel was captured

by the reporters as a romantic

scoop, sending it straight to the top of the trending topics.
