"Honestly, you''re my type. So, after we divorce, I''ll find someone just like you."
Matthew is pretty good, Natalie thought to herself. Sebastian could use her of anything else, but he couldn''t question her feelings for him.
Sebastian took a deep breath and said nothing. At least she liked his type.
"Okay. I get it," Sebastian said calmly.
Natalie was a little surprised. What did he mean by that? What did he get?
She didn''t ask, continuing to soothe the baby.
Sebastian watched her gentle expression and just smiled faintly. She was still so innocent, and her slight smile was pure and captivating.
Just then, Natalie''s phone rang. She picked it up and saw that the cake she''d ordered had arrived.
Natalie stood up. "Mr. Griffith, you should go. I have something to take care of."
The formal address made Sebastian frown slightly. She used to like calling him Sebastian.
He hadn''t thought much of it when she did, but now that she''d stopped, it felt strange. He didn''t like her calling him this.
Sebastian stood up and asked her, "Where are you going with the baby?"
"I ordered a small cake because I''m craving some. It''ll just take a minute. So if
you''re busy, you should go. I just need to pick up the cake."
The delivery could only be brought to the lobby, not the top floor.
"Wait here. I''ll go get it for you," Sebastian offered.
"No, no, no, I wouldn''t want to trouble you, Mr. Griffith. I''ll get it myself." Natalie had already picked up her bag and was leaving with Vincent in her arms.
Sebastian was so angry he wanted to yell. “Natalie, why do you have to fight me on everything?"
Natalie had reached the door. She turned and gave him a cool nce. "You''re being unreasonable How is
not wanting to +
you
considered fighting you?"
Sebastian sneered, "I''m your husband."
Natalie sneered back, "When I needed you to be my husband, you weren''t Now that I don''t need you,
you''ve decided to start acting like
ones don''t need it. You missed your I chance.
With that, Natalie left.
Sebastian stared at her back, feeling helpless. Couldn''t she just trust him this one time?
Then he remembered all the times he hadn''t trusted her, and a wave of sadness washed over him.
So this was what it felt like to not be trusted by the person you love. It was a truly awful feeling.
Sebastian followed her downstairs. He didn''t say anything, just walked silently beside her, pressing the elevator button for her.
When Natalie saw him follow, she assumed he was heading down to work, so she didn''t ask why.
She was about to get her period and was craving something sweet.
So she had ordered takeout. There were always one or two days a month when she felt like this.
She figured many girls probably had days like that too.
But when they reached the first floor, Sebastian took the bag from the delivery guy.
Natalie was confused. "Aren''t you going to work?"
"Is your memory getting bad at such
a young age? I already told you, I finished my work for the day. I just want to be with you. You''re carrying the baby, so it''s inconvenient. fallowed your down to get the takeout. Do you understand now?"
Natalie understood, and her face flushed. “Sorry, I misunderstood."
A cold draft asionally blew through the lobby, and Natalie, worried the baby
would get cold, turned to head back.
As they were waiting for the elevator, Natalie spotted a familiar figure. She suddenly
grabbed Sebastian and pulled him around a corner.
