"Sebastian, you son of a bitch! You''re the most disgusting man I''ve ever met in my life. Get out, and take your dog with you."
At that moment, Natalie''s anger peaked, and the words flew out unfiltered.
Sebastian looked at her, seeing her despair and her breaking point. He opened his mouth to exin, then seemed to decide it was pointless. No matter what he said, Natalie wouldn''t believe him, just like before.
"And another thing—Joanna fainted and went to the hospital today. Do you think I made her faint? So to get back at me for her, you hired two men to assault me? You bastards, when you do something wrong, you never look at yourselves. You just pin all the me on me. Do I just look like an easy target to you?"
“Natalie, I didn''t. I don''t even know those men," Sebastian finally said, defending himself.
But it was a terrible coincidence. Every time something happened to Joanna, he woulde looking for trouble with Natalie.
And today, something had just happened to Joanna again.
It had happened countless times before, so Natalie naturally assumed he was here to punish her for Joanna''s sake.
Sebastian finally understood the helplessness Natalie must have felt back then.
The despair of not being trusted.
Natalie wiped away her tears. She was truly in pain. “I should have known. Joanna gets a paper cut and youe after me for revenge. Of course you would, now that she''s fainted. My luck is just rotten to have run into a pair of psychos like you two."
After saying her piece, Natalie didn''t even spare him a nce. She turned, finished packing her suitcase, and dragged it toward the door.
Sebastian blocked her way. "Where are you going thiste?"
Natalie pushed him aside. "None of your business. But I won''t let you two walk all over me anymore."
Her eyes were filled with a deep, genuine hatred.
Sebastian felt helpless. “Natalie, why won''t you believe me? You''ve got it all wrong about tonight."
"I''ve got it wrong? Sebastian, I saw it with my own eyes, and you''re telling me I''m wrong? Then what are you doing here? Don''t tell me you were coincidentally passing by my hotel room door."
Natalie''s whole body trembled with a mixture of pain and rage. She clenched her fists, furious like an out-of-control lioness.
Sebastian just felt a deep ache in his chest.
Before, when he saw her upset, he would only feel angry, thinking that she was Mrs. Griffith and shouldn''t be causing trouble for Joanna.
But he had been wrong all along. Natalie never started fights, while Joanna was always trying to provoke her. They only ever saw Natalie at her most furious and always misunderstood her.
"I''ll prove to you that tonight had
nothing to do with me. As for
Joanna whether she lives or dies
live to do with
from now on has nothing to do with me either. And for everything she did to you, I''ll help you get even."
It was the first time Natalie had ever heard Sebastian defend her like this, but she didn''t believe for a second that he would help her against Joanna. Save it. not buying it.
Natalie dragged her suitcase and left.
Watching her go, Sebastian felt that if she walked away this time, the misunderstanding between them would never be cleared up.
He strode forward and grabbed her hand.
Natalie struggled fiercely. “Let go of me."
Sebastian said in a low voice, "Come back inside with me. I don''t want you to misunderstand me."
Natalie refused to go back in. She mimicked his tone from all the times before and shot back, “Sebastian, why should I listen to your exnation? I only believe what I see."
Sebastian froze, staring at her. Those were words he had said to Natalie countless times.
