Julian paused, then shook his head. "Not my type. I heard she''s getting pretty close with that A-list actor. I prefer girls who are drama-free.”
Sebastian understood. The jerk was just teasing him.
He was already irritated, and his tone turned icy. "If there''s nothing else, you can get lost."
"Tsk! So cold." Julian walked away with a swagger.
At the door, he ran into Joanna.
“Julian, there you are,” Joanna called out with a smile.
Julian looked at her pale face. He''d heard about what happened at the Wilson family''s partyst night.
Joanna was Nathan Scott''s biological daughter, yet Nathan had disowned his own child. It was a messy and cruel situation.
“Joanna, are you really your father''s biological daughter?" Julian asked, a bit bluntly.
Joanna froze, then said in a low voice, “Julian, I don''t know. I only found out about this yesterday myself. My parents have their marriage certificate now, so we''re a proper family."
She was desperate to prove she wasn''t an illegitimate child.
Julian just smiled and said nothing. Sebastian''s taste in women was questionable anyway.
It wasn''t until muchter that Julian realized Sebastian''s judgment had always been better than his.
And he would regret his own choices for the rest of his life.
“Alright, I''m heading out. You two can talk."
After Julian left, Joanna went inside.
Sebastian knew she was upsetst night, but he hadn''t gone tofort her. In the past, whenever she''d faced something like this, he would have stayed by her side. He washt good at cheering girls up, buthis presence alone had always made her happy.
Before entering, Joanna sent a message to Natalie.
She found a suitable photo and sent it to her.
[Natalie, Sebastian was with me allst night. We''ve been together for so long. How can you be so shameless and keep harassing him? Can''t you just get lost?]
After sending the message, Joanna walked over to Sebastian, who was sitting on the sofa.
"Sebastian, why didn''t youe see mest night?” Joanna sat beside him, a faint trace of fear in her eyes as she looked at his dark, handsome face.
Sebastian''s gaze was heavy. "Joanna, fast night''s fiasco is public knowledge. My hundred million dors just went down the gram. Did you really think your movie could still be released?"
Joanna''s eyes filled with grievance. “Sebastian, I came today to talk about that. I
suspect Natalie set me upst night."
A murderous glint shed in
and
Sebastian''s eyes. She had used the same tactic to frame Natalie before, he had believed it. His gaze grew even colder. "But she was with me the entire day yesterday.was the one who took her to the party. How could I not know she set you up?"
Sebastian felt a wave of powerlessness. He had misunderstood Natalie sopletely back then.
Was it because he trusted Joanna so much that he took her word for everything?
He was always busy with work and never gave it a second thought. But because of that simple oversight, he had driven Natalie away.
The pressure in the room grew heavier as Sebastian''s eyes became colder.
But at that moment, Joanna was only focused on slinging mud at Natalie and didn''t notice the terrifying look on Sebastian''s face.
She was shocked and bewildered. After everything she''d done, how could Natalie get the upper hand? "Sebastian, you went together?"
Sebastian''s tone became even heavier. “That''s right. She was my datest night. Mrs. Wilson didn''t invite her. You say she set you up. How exactly did she do that?"
