He wracked his brain but couldn''t recall anyone touching his phone. It had been
on him the entire time, so how could the photos have been deleted?
Dammit. Being falsely used felt awful.
Who could have touched his phone?
Jerome thought long and hard, finally concluding that he must have identally deleted the photos himself.
What a shame. Those designs were truly brilliant.
But how did they suddenly end up as designs for Sebastian''spany?
Jerome froze, his mind shing back to Joanna''s party. The kidnapping she had staged, which led to Natalie getting hit by Sebastian, then by their father...
Dammit, she was a vicious woman to begin with. What was wrong with a few ps? It wasn''t Joanna''s fault.
Frustrated, Jerome went back to inspecting the car.
In the car, Natalie closed her eyes, her heart aching.
Luna, who was driving, nced at Natalie''s pained expression and seethed with anger. "Don''t be sad, Natalie. It''s just a few designs. You''re a fountain of inspiration; you''lle up with something even better."
Natalie took a deep breath. She didn''t want to be sad, but she couldn''t stop the ache in her heart.
“No, I can''t let this go,” Natalie dered, her eyes zing with fury. “Take me to Verna. I''m starting a fight today."
Luna''s eyes mirrored her anger. "You got it."
Half an hourter, the car pulled up in front of the Griffith Group''s headquarters.
"We''re here," Luna said softly.
Natalie opened her beautiful eyes. "Wait for me here."
"I''ming with you," Luna insisted, worried. "If there''s trouble, I can protect you. If I don''t, Sebastian will have my hide."
Natalie managed a small smile. "Silly girl. You think I can''t handle myself? Do you think I''m a pushover?"
"No, but you shouldn''t have to get your hands dirty. I''ll do it," Luna said, unbuckling Natalie''s seatbelt. Her features were cool andposed, her delicate, oval face an icy mask, her eyes as bright as Stars The sunlight only made her seem colder.
Seeing her determination, Natalie smiled and didn''t argue, letting Luna apany her inside.
The two women entered the lobby but were immediately stopped by the front desk.
Natalie had rarely visited Sebastian''spany. He had once told her, "Don''te to the office unless it''s
the wrong idea about our
necessary don''t ple to get
no
rtionship and upset Joanna."
After that, she had nevere again. This was, for all intents and purposes, her first time here.
"Do you have an appointment?" the receptionist asked politely, though her eyes shifted as she looked at Natalie.
"I''m here to see Sebastian," Natalie stated.
The receptionist scanned her from head to toe with a disdainful gaze. “I''m sorry, but you can''t see the president without an appointment."
Her attitude soured Natalie''s mood. "Fine. Then call him and tell him Natalie is here."
"I''m sorry, can''t make that call
without an appointment. If you want to see our president, you''ll have to schedule one first, the receptionist said, her tone dripping with arrogance.
Natalie clenched her fists. A murderous glint shed in Luna''s eyes, but Natalie held her back.
"Don''t. I''ll just call him myself."
"Oh, so you have the president''s number?" the receptionist sneered. "You really think someone like you can see him? Get lost before you dirty the ce.”
Natalie said nothing, swallowing her anger as she pulled out her phone. Sebastian''s number was still on her block list. She unblocked it and dialed.
The receptionist''s brow furrowed, her eyes cold as she stared at the beautiful woman before her.
"Security! Get over here and throw these two troublemakers out!"
