"Okay!"
Hannah pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling tired. Seeing that he was still holding her hand, making it impossible for her to eat, she couldn''t help but tug her hand a couple of times.
Feeling her pull away, Quennel instantly grew wary and stared at her.
"What are you doing?"
"Eating?" Hannah looked at Quennel, confused. "I''m not left-handed. I can''t eat if you keep holding my hand like this."
"Right, right. Look at me, I get so excited I forget everything."
Quennel reluctantly let go of her hand.
Because it had been so hard to finally have her, her every move made him extremely vignt and suspicious.
"By the way, brother, do you think what Lionel said about having evidence is real or fake? I have a feeling it''s probably fake, but I can''t help but worry that it might be real."
Hannah ate as she spoke. "Because I feel like it''s fake, I don''t n to investigate. But I''m also worried that if it turns out to be real and I missed it because I didn''t look into it, that wouldn''t be good."
Hannah was truly torn. What kind of evidence could make Lionel so confident?
"I''ll handle the investigation into this evidence. You don''t have to worry about it. Just focus on what you need to do."
Quennel sat beside her, propping his chin on his hand as he watched her.
Hearing her call him ''brother'' over and over again was truly making it hard for him not to fall deeper. Every word struck a chord deep in his heart.
"Why aren''t you eating? You''re just staring at me."
Hannah looked at Quennel, puzzled. He seemed to be lost in a state of bliss, and she couldn''t figure out what was wrong with him.
"I''m not hungry. You eat."
Quennel reached out and tucked a stray strand of her hair behind her ear, a constant smile on his lips.
"You''re being very strange right now."
"Am I?" Quennel raised an eyebrow. "How so?"
"You keep smiling like an idiot, as if you''re excited about something. It''s just very strange. You weren''t like this before."
Before.
Now, in her memory, the person she loved most had be him, and the person she hated most had be Lionel.
He truly couldn''t wait to see what would happen when she met Lionel again.
"It''s because I''m thinking about you divorcing Lionel next week. You can finally break free from that man. I''m happy for you, thrilled for you, excited for you."
"You''re right. That day is finally here. I''ve waited so long." Hannah couldn''t help but clench her fists as she spoke. "I just hope Lionel doesn''t try anything strange next week."
"Don''t worry, help you prepare on my end. I absolutely won''t let him sabotage anything. After you divorce him, which city do you want to go to the most? I''ll make arrangements in
adva and we can go there
together."
He couldn''t wait for that day to arrive, to start a life with just him and Hannah.
When Quennel decided to alter Hannah''s memory, he was also nning something else.
Everyone around them knew that Hannah loved Lionel. If people kept reminding her of it, it might trigger her memories. If she were to regain her memory, it would be a disaster.
So he had to take Hannah to a city where no one knew them, to live in a perfect
world meant only for the two of them.
