Chapter 704

Lionel sprinted after her but was too slow. He could only watch as Hannah got into the car and shut the door.

Still, he didn''t give up. He grabbed the door handle and yanked it hard a couple of times.

But the door was locked. No matter how hard he pulled, it wouldn''t open. Desperate to stop her from leaving, he held onto the handle with one hand and pounded on the window with the other.

"Hannah, I''m not doubting you! It''s just that our rtionship is so strained, I was worried you''d use this fake divorce as a chance to leave me for good. If that happened, wouldn''t I look like aplete fool?"

He pleaded through the ss. "All I want is a promise, a guarantee. Why can''t you just agree to it? Signing an agreement wouldn''t take long. You just promised you''d get back together with me, so this is just for my peace of mind. It''s just a way to reassure me."

Samuel, hearing his shameless words from the driver''s seat, got out of the car. He shot Lionel the middle finger, then stormed over, grabbed him, and pulled him away from the passenger door before shoving him hard in the chest.

"Why should she sign an agreement just to give you peace of mind? Who the hell do you think you are? In the three years Hannah was married to you, did you ever give her any peace of mind?"

Samuel pushed him back again. "Now you want an agreement, and we''re just supposed to give it to you? You''re dreaming. The world doesn''t work that way."

"I''ll tell you what. Either you go file for divorce with Hannah right now, or we''ll see you in court. Stop trying to have it both ways. The world isn''t filled with things that good. Who do you think you are, that everyone has to cater to you? Dream on."

Samuel stood in front of the passenger door, blocking Lionel''s view of Hannah. "I''m giving you three seconds. Eithere with us to file the papers, or get lost. Don''t waste our time, you shameless bastard."

There were plenty of people in the parking lot, and his shouting drew even more attention.

    ine

In fact, some of the people who had witnessed the scene inside had already posted about it online. News of their supposed take divorce" was already starting to spread.

Hannah sat in the car, scrolling through the news on her phone, pletely ignoring the drama outside.

Samuel was handling it, and with him there, she knew everything would be fine.

All she had to do was sit back and y on her phone.

"I''m talking to you. Give me an answer. If you don''t say anything, we''ll assume you''re refusing to sign the divorce agreement, and we''re Leaving Don''t you dare go onler and nder us, iming we backed out of a deal."

Samuel pulled a small voice recorder from his pocket and waved it in Lionel''s face.

    ?

"I''m letting you know, I''ve recorded this entire conversation. If you dare spread lies about us online, I''ll post this for everyone to hear. Your reputation is already in the gutter, so what''s a little more dirt, right?"

Seeing Lionel just standing there in silence, Samuel rolled his eyes and started walking back to the driver''s side.

But just as he got in the car, Lionel lunged forward and grabbed the handle of the passenger door.

Samuel didn''t care that Lionel''s hand was on the handle. He floored it, and the car shot forward.

Caughtpletely off guard, Lionel didn''t have time to react. He was dragged along for several feet before he finally managed to let go.
