"I''m seriously going to dieughing! No, seriously, how could anyone say something so monumentally stupid? Is there actually something wrong with Lionel''s brain?"
Samuel propped himself up, pressing his hands against his cheeks to keep his face from cramping. "And what was that about a fake divorce to avoid using marital assets, only to get remarriedter? Unless Hannah''s lost her mind, there''s no way anyone would agree to that."
Cherry climbed back onto the sofa, taking several deep breaths topose herself.
“Besides, even if they do get divorced, he uses his money for the settlement, and then they remarry... he''s still spent the money. Whether it''s considered marital property or not, the money is gone. It makes no sense," Cherry ranted.
So, to avoid touching their marital assets, he suggests a divorce, followed by paying the settlement, and then remarrying. What was the point?
"It alles down to the fact that Lionel has never really seen Hannah as his wife. She''s just someone he can manipte and y games with, someone who''s supposed to go along with whatever insane n he cooks up, without any consideration for whether it''s normal or not."
Samuel pulled himself up and shook his head with a sigh. "After everything that''s happened, Lionel is still the same, acting recklessly and making decisions on his own. At this rate, he''s never going to change."
Toe up with such a ridiculous idea and then specifically ask Cherry to arrange a meeting with Hannah for it..... it just proved that Lionel either had no brain or still had absolutely no respect for Hannah.
"Yeah, no normal person would evere up with a n that idiotic."
After Hannah walked away, Lionel, unwilling to give up, chased after her.
Seeing his relentless determination to push this idea on her, Hannah decided that if he wanted her to agree so badly, she would grant him his wish.
She stopped and turned to face him. "Fine. Since you''re so insistent, and since you went to the trouble of having me meet you here, I''ll agree to it."
“Lionel, I will divorce you. After you''ve paid Sandra herpensation, I''ll remarry you, and then we can renegotiate the terms of our *next* divorce."
Lionel was so stunned that Hannah had actually agreed, he could hardly believe it.
He stared at her, his face a mask of shock, and asked again just to be sure, “Are you serious? You''re really agreeing to my n, is that right?”
His voice trembled as he spoke. It all felt too easy, too smooth, which made him feel unnerved and strangely fearful. It seemed too good to be true.
Hannah nodded. “Yes, I agree. There''s no point in dragging this out. Besides, if I don''t agree, who knows. what even more f??lish ideayou''lle up with next?"
Back at the listening post, hearing Hannah suddenly agree, the two
listeners froze just like.
Lionel They
couldn''t believe it. Why Why would
Hannah suddenly give in?
“Hannah was just refusing a minute ago. Why did she suddenly agree? Do you think
she''s nning something?" Cherry asked Samuel, her curiosity piqued.
Samuel was just as baffled by
Hannah''s decision. He paused, then shook his head. “I don''t know. But for her to change her mind so abruptly, she must have a reason. We have to ask b Ber when she gets back."
After all, Lionel''s idea was so far beyond the pale that no normal person would even conceive of it.
