Chapter 624

Cherry sat frozen in her seat, blinking several times. Her brain seemed to shut down for a moment as she stared nkly at Lionel.

A few secondster, she shot up from her seat and rushed out of the room without a moment''s hesitation. She had to report it to Hannah immediately.

Even though she wasn''t sure if what Lionel said was true or not.

She hurried out of the room, took the elevator down to the underground parking garage, and got into her car. Only after making sure no one was around did she take out her phone to call Hannah.

She was a double agent, after all, and she had to be careful.

What if Lionel suspected her and had someone following her? If she got caught, she''d be finished, and she''d lose one of her sources of leverage.

After hearing what Cherry had to say, Hannah''s head was spinning.

    Even Samuel was stunned.

"Are you kidding me? Is he insane?" Samuel couldn''t help but curse. "He already ruined things once, and now he does this again? Why does he make trouble for everyone else?"

Hannah let out a long, pained sigh. "I swear, this lunatic is going to be the death of me!"

It was bad enough that he hadn''t followed her n and gotten some useful information, but she never imagined Lionel could do something even more idiotic.

"Hannah, Quennel is not like Lionel. Maybe Quennel will manage to get some information out of them before he gets rid of them?"

Samuel looked at Hannah hopefully. After all, if Quennel could get some useful information, it would still be a good thing for them.

Their ultimate goal was to find out anything they could about Cheryl.

"It would be great if he could get some information, of course," Hannah sighed.

But the thought felt like a long shot. Still, as Samuel said, Lionel and Quennel werepletely different. Maybe there was a chance, however small.

After hanging up, Cherry drove home.

In the hospital room, Lionel tried calling Quennel several times, but there was no answer.

About ten minutester, Quennel finally called back.

"Why didn''t you answer my calls?" The moment the call connected, Lionel started yelling without any courtesy up? Is that "Did you screw why you were too guilty to answer your phone?"

Quennel had just sat down in his office when he was met with the angry shouting

from the phone. He instinctively held the phone away from his ear.

"Lionel, what are you barking about?"

"I''m barking?" Lionel roared back. "I asked you to take care of those people Why haven''t you done it yet? How did they get the chance to send another letter to Hannah? I knew I couldn''t count on you!"

Damn it, he should have just sent his own men to do it!

He must have been blind to think Quennel would ever help him!

That damn bastard wished he were dead. Why would he ever do him a favor?

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He was about to yell again when he heard Quennel speak.

"In one night, I have to deal withpany business and this mess you made. Do you really think I''m as idle as you are?"

Quennel scoffed coldly. "I''ve already located them and I''m in the process of dealing with them. Besides, how do you know that letter was sent in real-time and not scheduled in advance?"
