"It''s entirely up to you."
The two chatted for a while longer before parting ways.
Quennel stood on the coffee shop balcony, gripping the railing as he watched Samuel''s car pull up to pick up Hannah. A sinister glint slowly crept into his eyes.
When Lionel hade to him, he knew Sandra was tired of living. But he never imagined she was this eager to die, even telling Hannah about it today. It seemed his warning the other day wasn''t strong enough, or perhaps she hadn''t been listening.
Quennel took out his phone and made a call.
Meanwhile, Gary went to Lionel''spany to find him, only to learn he was on leave. He then drove to the Rosenberg estate.
When Lionel opened the door and saw the man standing there, he didn''t recognize him at first. A few secondster, he recalled seeing him when he went to the Temple family home to find Hannah.
"Did Hannah send you?"
Lionel''s tone was hopeful. After all, a member of the Temple family wouldn''t just show up for no reason.
Gary looked a bit awkward and scratched his cheek.
"Well, she didn''t exactly send me, but it is about her."
A sh of disappointment crossed Lionel''s face, but when he heard it was rted to Hannah, he thought for a moment and let him in.
"Mr. Rosenberg, it''s like this."
Gary began speaking as soon as he sat down, not wanting to waste time on pleasantries.
"I can see you don''t intend to divorce
???
her. She''s being foolish. Marrying you is the best thing that ever. happened to her yet she''s letting some other woman cause this misunderstanding. We don''t want to see a perfectly good marriage fall apart like this."
"As her older brother, it''s my duty to talk some sense into her. Mr.
Rosenberg, don''t you worry,
have
a good talk with her when I get back
and convince her to stop being
difficult and move back home soon."
Lionel studied the man before him. Aside from the man who was always with
Hannah, he didn''t believe she could have bonded with her other rtives so quickly.
Especially this one. He vaguely
remembered another woman
yesterday who had gotten very excited upon seeing him, calling him
over totalk about busines
or
something. He wasn''t sure if he
remembered correctly; his mind had
been solely on Hannah, and
everything else was a blur.
"Mr. Temple, I''m sure you didn''te all this way just to say that. There''s something else, isn''t there?"
Gary was surprised by his directness.
"This is the most important thing. The other matter is that since our families are connected by marriage, I was hoping we could coborate on a project."
The two families already had some business dealings, just not with him directly.
"After all, you know she''s not easy to persuade. And I''ve run into some trouble with my business, so I was thinking... you help me, and I''ll help you," Gary said with a smile.
Lionel finally understood.
This man wasn''t here to help him and Hannah. He was clearly trying to use their family connection to talk business.
"I''m open to a partnership, but I don''t know how your rtionship with Hannah is. What if she dislikes you? If I were to partner with you, wouldn''t that just....."
"We have a great rtionship!" Gary eximed.
"Is that so? In that case, you can help me by asking her to have dinner with me tonight."
