Chapter 952

A family reunion at the hospital?

Coralie felt a wave of dizziness as the pieces clicked into ce. Her mind raced.

Did Juniper go see Director Evans?

Combined with what happened earlier the caretaker had mentioned that someone was suddenly asking about the orphanage. Could that have been Juniper? Andter, Juniper had mentioned she was an orphan whose family had all passed away.

It was too much of a coincidence. Coralie''s heart began to race; she knew the world didn''t work on coincidences.

"Just sit tight. The Boss will deal with you as soon as he''s done with his business," Flint tossed out the threat and turned on his heel, deliberately walking far away so he wouldn''t have to hear her bang on the door.

Oddly enough, Coralie seemed to have tired herself out. The banging stoppedpletely.

    Good, nice and quiet.

Flint strolled out to the main entrance just as one of his men ran up to him. "Boss, it''s Felton on the phone."

"What''s up?" Flint grabbed the phone andzily dropped onto a sofa. "Did Ms. Payne find her sister yet? Where is she?"

"She found her," Felton said, his voice unusually cold and pausing for a heavy moment. "And we''ve met her."

"Damn, really? Small world." Flint sat up, burning with curiosity. "Who is it? Why didn''t we recognize her?"

"It''s Ms. Quill." Felton''s voice sounded like the grim reaper dragging a soul to hell. "Coralie Quill is Ms. Payne''s sister."

After leaving the hospital, Felton had asked around and pieced the story together. Even though the official DNA test wasn''t done yet, Juniper had seen the photos and matched the details. It was a perfect match. The test was just a formality at this point.

    "Say what now?!"

Flint, who had just been riding the high of acting tough, leaped out of his chair in pure terror.

"Ms. Quill is Ms. Payne''s sister," Felton enunciated every syble. "The Boss probably misunderstood and grabbed the wrong person."

Felton paused, then asked sharply, "You weren''t disrespectful to her, were you? The Boss specifically ordered you to bring her back respectfully."

"I mean... only tossed a couple of threats at her..." Flint stood frozen his hand clutching the phone It took him a long moment to shakily repeat exactly what he had said to Coralie.

Silence hung heavy on the line.

"Felton, I was pretty subtle about it, right? You don''t think she''ll take it to heart?"

More silence. Flint''s big mouth had struck again. The Boss hadn''t even said anything yet, and Flint had already run his mouth. He was a dead man walking.

"Felton, my stomach''s acting up. How about youe down here and escort her back?" Flint pleaded, shrinking into himself. "I''ll give you my entire paycheck this month."

"No." It was a hard, absolute no.

"You made this mess, you clean it up," Felton refused without a second thought. "If this was just about the Boss, I''d take the fall for the right price. But this involves Ms. Rayne. You understand the stakes, ri the stakes, right??

It was a literal death sentence. There was no way Felton was taking that heat.

Flint understood perfectly. He had just insulted Juniper''s sister. The sky was falling. Just as Flint was hyperventting, debating whether to crawl into the room on his knees and beg for forgiveness, the heavy front doors were violently kicked open.

    Crash!

A group of heavily armed men stormed in.

Flint and his subordinates immediately drew their weapons, their nerves pulled taut. Because they hadn''t nned on actually only sent

    hurt Corate they ha

two guys to grab her. But the opposition had shown up with over a dozen men.

Who were they? A rescue team?

As Flint watched in confusion, the crowd parted, revealing a handsome young man

    in a crisp white shirt.

It was Channing Irving-Coralie''s boy toy.
