Jimmie turned, his gazending on Jiana as a series of question marks popped into his head.
"Ah, no," Jiana stammered, realizing how bold her words sounded. She licked her lips and tried to exin, "What I mean is, Juniper is so incredibly cool. A lot of girls must have a crush on her, right?"
Jimmie was still confused. What was the difference? If that jealous man-child Shanley heard this, he''d probably lose his mind.
"What are you talking about?" Jasper lightly tapped the back of Jiana''s head, giving her a gentle reminder.
Jiana pouted but knew better than to continue her line of questioning on camera. She could always ask in private, though.
"It looks like Juniper''s been practicing for years," Jiana said, her eyes still glued to Juniper. "I want to learn to ride too. It looks so amazing when you''re galloping like that."
"I don''t know when she learned," Jimmie said with a warm smile, his voice filled with pride. "But she''s brilliant at everything she tries."
While everyone was singing Juniper''s praises, Ynda was finally helped out of the manure pile by the crew. Filthy and limping, she headed toward the restroom. The smell was so overpowering that the staff kept a wide distance from her. The show was all about authenticity, so the cameras didn''t miss a single detail, zooming in close to her face.
"Stop filming," Ynda snapped, turning her head away, herposurepletely shattered. "I said stop filming, do you hear me?"
Her near-hysterical state was a stark contrast to the gentle, sweet persona she usually projected.
"Cameraman, pull the lens back," Miranda ordered as she returned. Seeing the assistant director trying to capture Ynda''s humiliating moment, she frowned. "She''s just a young woman. This is deeply damaging to her pride."
"But think of the ratings," the assistant director said with a grin. "Miranda, look, everyone online is talking about Ynda. She''s shot up to number two on the trending topics."
"What''s number one?" Miranda
asked. Logically, a spectacle like this should have taken the top spot. In all hen years in the industry, shed heyer seen a celebrity in such a sorry state.
"Ms. Payne." At the mention of Juniper, the assistant director became animated, gesturing excitedly. "The clips and pictures of Ms. Payne riding have gonepletely viral. Tons of girls ate Saying theyve just switched their ''inte husband.""
"Switched their inte husband?" Miranda asked, not quite following.
"Their old one was Jimmie. The new one is Juniper," the assistant director exined, then added, "And it''s not just girls calling her that. Guys are too." Miranda fell silent. Her future daughter-inw certainly had a powerful charm.
"Alright," she said, ing back to her senses. Her expression turned serious as she urged the assistant director to move the cameras away. "I''m going to check on her."
Although Ynda had caused the ident herself by provoking the horse, it had happened during filming. Miranda felt she couldn''tpletely absolve herself of responsibility.
Despite the minor incident, the other guests remained in their positions and continued recording the show.
When Miranda went to the restroom, Ynda had already showered and was now sitting in the living room, wrapped in a nket, her eyes red and swollen from crying.
"Miranda," Ynda whimpered, her eyes welling up with fresh tears when she saw Mirandaing to see her personally.
"The doctor just examined you. Are you alright?" Miranda asked softly.
"It hurts a little," Ynda mumbled, clutching her arm. "Miranda, this s all Juniper''s fault. If she had just left when she was supposed to, my forse wouldn''t have gotten spooked..."
