At the sound of the voice, Juniper turned to see arge group of servants escorting a delicate, beautiful girl into the room. The girl wore a long white dress, and her slightly curled hair cascaded over her shoulders. She wore a pout, clearly unhappy.


    Since she was scheduled to go to Era City tomorrow, she was still wearing her disguise.


    Huh? It was her? The girl who acted like a child? Celine Sherwin, Warren Sherwin... Juniper recalled her name with a slight twist of her lips. So, she was the wife of the Lord of Liberty Ind. And she was the patient Warren wanted her to treat?


    Seeing Celine with her head down, ignoring everyone, Warren walked over to her. The cold distance around him vanished, reced by unrestrained tenderness. "What''s wrong?"


    "She said you promised to take her out today, but you broke your promise," a servant whispered.


    "All of you may leave," Warren said, relieved to know the cause.


    He gently exined, "Something came up. Can I take you in a few days instead?"


    "No!" Celine''s head snapped up, her eyes red and brimming with hurt. "You broke your promise! I''m not ying with you anymore."


    He had promised to take her to Era City. Liar. She wanted to see Juniper and buy her a cake.


    "Celine," Warren said, his brow furrowing slightly, though his patience held. "The doctor is here. After you see the doctor, I''ll take you to Era City."


    "Big liar!" Celine, who had a stubborn streak, shot Warren a re and turned to leave.


    "Celine—" Warren frowned and instinctively reached out to grab her.


    In the next second, Celine, who had been about to leave, froze. She turned stiffly and looked toward the "boy" on the sofa.

    After a few moments of stunned silence, Celine''s pretty eyebrows knitted together, and she started walking toward Juniper She stopped right in front of her and stared with profound interest, her clear eyes practically shining.


    Juniper pressed her lips together, thinking, “She can''t possibly recognize me, can


    she? I''m a man today. Even Shanley was confused, so how could she tell?"


    Seeing his wife staring so intently at another man, Warren''s thick brows drew together in a harsh frown. This physician Nocturne, was barely twenty And he was delicate and handsome. Could Celine have fallen


    for him?

    Celine circled Juniper once, blinked, and then looked at Warren, her face a mask of confusion.


    "He''s the physician who''s here to treat you" Warren said, taking


    Celine''s hand with a faint smile


    Whatever it took as long as Cetine stayed for the examination


    "Physician?" Celine leaned in again, even standing on her tiptoes, her face so close she almost bumped Juniper''s nose.


    For the first time, Juniper started to doubt her own disguise skills.


    "Careful," Warren said jealously, pulling his wife back into his arms. He coaxed her, "Let the doctor take a look, and tomorrow I''ll take you to Era City."


    "Okay," Celine agreed meekly. She sat on the sofa and rolled up her sleeve. "A shot?"


    "No," Warren said, his gaze shifting back to Juniper, his voice once again cold and impersonal. "You may begin."


    "Wait," Juniper said, remaining seated. Her cool gaze fell on him, her voice low. "I''ll see the patient, but you can''t go back on what you promised me."


    "Of course," Warren nodded without hesitation, his expression serious. "But you had better be the real deal."


    "Fine," Juniper shot him an impatient re. "When this is over, I''ll tell you what I want."
